I told Allison about my vision for modern minimalist ikebana flower arrangements at my wedding, and she delivered unbelievably beautiful and artistic arrangements beyond my wildest dreams. My draping bridal bouquet with orchids, sweet peas, long spur columbine, and scapes was so beautiful it should be on the cover of Bride magazine. I didn't think it could get better, but the centerpieces at the tables blew me away. They were effortless ikebana masterpieces proudly standing in open bowls. She carefully constructed a perfect balance: the poetic negative space of striking meandering native poppies and scapes, the thrill of statement long spur columbine, the romance of dangling foxglove, and the ephemeral whisps of deep red smoke bush. We had a small, intimate Brooklyn wedding at what I would call a "rustic" setting. I had concerns about making it feel special, but Allison showed up with total confidence that she could create a beautiful chuppah from 4 pine trees. When I showed up to the ceremony, I cried because it was so beautiful. She included a late summer/early fall array of dahlias and other seasonal varieties that truly fit the occasion. Allison elevated the entire ceremony from gorgeous bouquets to wrist corsages for our moms. She listened to every preference I had (even though I wasn't completely sure what I wanted), and totally delivered on every detail. She even remembered to add a tiny carnation to my husband's boutonnière in honor of our upcoming January baby. Not to mention, the volunteers where the ceremony was held had rave reviews of Allison because she was so easy to work with and even gave them the leftover flowers that would otherwise be tossed. I knew that Allison was the perfect florist for my wedding from the minute I met her. I am not a flower-person, and I went into our first meeting not really knowing anything that I wanted, other than orange and burgundy flowers for my bouquet. She listened to the (few) ideas that I had, presented many of her own, and we generally had an amazing first meeting. She is someone that I knew I could be friends with, rather than just a vendor for our wedding. She was very engaged throughout the process -- sending me pictures of flowers she saw at the farmer's market, creating a pinterest board for us to share, and meeting me at the venue, so we could talk through the design elements. She also did an amazing job working within our budget, which I really appreciated. She responded to every email quickly and thoroughly, and she and her team did an absolutely incredible job the day of. She's creative, she has a great sense of style, and she put together bouquets that my photographers were absolutely "obsessed with." Allison was terrific! We worked with her last month for our wedding. Dear Allison, I loooove all the flowers! My bouquet was so beautiful. Thank you sooo much. Can't stop looking and thinking how they were so nicely made. I was very particular about the kind of flowers and the size which was totally on point. I felt that I was vague about what I want, but you got me with very little information (I remember I just told you that I want fall-themed flowers and you can just do whatever you want.) My bouquet didn't come out overpowering and instead, it accentuated my dresses. I also didn't get to mention to you that at the last minute, I decided to wear both dresses and it did match both of them. Everybody especially the nuns were exclaiming that we had the most beautiful flowers, from the altar garden arrangements (which you also brought to the reception, thank you!) to the bouquet and the centerpieces. You picked out the best, my bouquet lasted the whole day, and the centerpieces stayed fresh for a week. Firstly, planning the event with Allison was effortless. I was hesitant to even have a baby shower because life was so hectic preparing for a newborn baby that I really didn't want to take the time to plan an event. A friend recommended BW&P Floral, and the moment I spoke to Allison, I knew that organizing the flowers would be effortless and simple, the exact opposite of what I had imagined. Allison asked me a few simple questions about my taste, and she even called the venue to find out the details of their space, so I wouldn't have to do any of the legwork. She contacted me with a few short follow up questions, and somehow just seemed to instantly understand the vision I had for the shower. She created the perfect balance of suggesting new ideas while respecting and understanding my taste. Planning the event with her was a true pleasure. She actually made me want to have a baby shower! Even the owner of the venue commented on how lovely she was to work with. When I arrived at the shower, I saw that Allison had been there for hours--way before schedule. This was the first, and certainly not the last, indication that despite the reasonable price tag of BW&P Floral, Allison clearly goes above and beyond the call of duty in making sure her clients get the absolute best. Meeting her was everything I had expected from our phone calls--she was warm, creative, and had a way about her that made us wish she was a guest at the shower in addition to our florist! The flowers were incredible--a combination of soft pinkish hues with vibrant yellows and oranges. The sunrise colors totally captured the joy I was feeling over the miracle of having a baby girl, and they completely brought the space and the venue alive. I had only visited the venue once, but it seemed Allison had transformed it into a magical garden of my dreams. I had no idea flowers could even do so much to make a space feel so enchanted. I must have heard, "the flowers are stunning" 100 times over the course of the day, and I could not have agreed more. When the event was over, Allison even put together small bouquets for our guests to take home, and then she gifted some arrangements to the staff and owner of the venue.
