I also have dietary restrictions that require that I read labels in detail. The woman working at the information checkout made us feel like we were being cased as if we were going to shoplift or drink the ONE beer my partner bought for the concert on the property when we took our lunch out to the patio area. She even came out to check that he wasn't drinking it. Chill out and let people comfortably browse your store and trust they aren't going to try to get drunk in your food court area outside on one beer (that was being purchased for later anyway). I'd heard about the Tikka Masala chicken sandwich from a few friends and was determined to try it before the end of the month. I walked into the Whole Foods where Birdcall is located and straight up to the touchscreen kiosks located on the wall. After I inserted my card, I was ready to go, selected the sandwich I wanted, opted out of the combo and checked around the corner to see my name and the time remaining until my order was ready. I was able to peruse the store since I knew the amount of time I had, then came back to see the countdown change from one minute to "soon", which then stayed that way for a good five more minutes before they finally moved my completed order into one of the bays for pickup. If I'd known that "soon" meant five more minutes, I wouldn't have rushed back! The sandwich itself was okay - the chicken was FABULOUS and the brioche bun was pillowy soft. As for the "tikka masala" part of the sandwich, it was definitely more of a salty curry sauce. No tikka masala flavor at all, but I was still very content with the quality of the chicken and the bun. I'll definitely go back, but likely will try one of their classic sandwiches next time, and not fully trust the time listed on the wait board at this location. read more

That was seriously the driest chicken I have ever had in my life. The nuggets I got five instead of six so that's fun. Also none of the sauces I ordered just ketchup packet. It is located inside of a Whole Foods which J found kinda interesting. They do have a bar that you can get some beers from. The Nashville sandwich was pretty good. The tots were good, but the establishment needs to go through them (the tots) because I bit into a moldy tot.. just the one. Green mold won't hurt you, but very off putting. I've inadvertently eaten green mold before so I know what I'm talking about. All in all, not bad. I will go back. I usually like WholeFoods. But this one is home to a Pizza employee a bit on the rude side. This lady for some reason is so adamant that you don't get your pizza fresh that she paces around and makes sure you get the pizza under the lamp (cold pizza). And if someone who helps you is super nice and offers you a fresh pizza that just came out of the oven, she will step in and stop them and say "I just made that pizza take that one." It is not true she lies. But she is obsessive over keeping the pies moving in the right order. In her mind it's wasteful not to take the cold pizza. But in actuality you're wasting the fresh pizzas that tastes better so in essence all pizzas become cold. Why? This is unnecessarily horrible. read more

He then called me a man child for getting frustrated after he told me that he clarified with me 3 times. It's not about being right here... it's about being respectful and treating customers with care. Even if I had ordered them wrong and the communication was wrong, all he needed to do was make the correction. Amazing meatless chicken sandwich! This place is awesome, they have a great system for waiting for your food, great prices and menu, super quick and convenient! I love the fact that I can put my order in, see exactly how long it's going to take on their screens, and grab a few groceries while I wait. It is also amazing seeing a yummy meatless option in the menu - we need more of those! I'll probably eat here every time I come to do groceries. Highly recommended! read more

TL;DR: What can you expect? It's a Whole Foods. So yeah, as Whole Foods goes, this is definitely a Whole Foods. Though there is one thing that sets this one apart from many of the others. It's GIANT. I mean it, it's very big. The only difficultly I've had here is that it is sometimes difficult to find particular things purely because of the size. Things get spread around a lot to accommodate the space. Though, they probably have everything that any Whole Foods would have, so props there. They have a parking garage out in front of their store, so no problem to find spaces in Belmar. As Whole Foods are doing as well, they have free EV charging! Very nice. read more

Overpriced, overhyped and closes early. The produce is good as expected but......for the price and quality, I would just shop at king soopers or sprouts. The customer service here is hit or miss. The meat department and produce department go out of their way to help. The cashiers not so much and especially if it's getting close to closing time. When a customer can't find an item, tells the cashier and her response is it may be over there and I go to where she said, still don't find it, common sense tells you to get someone to help at a minimum. What should have happened is she called for assistance and got the item needed. Instead, she basically dismissed my need and I left without an item I needed. I was very disappointed in my last visit to this Whole Foods. They usually are helpful and have a presence when customers are around, but this last time was simply not like that. First off, I am disabled and walk with a cane most of the time and when I don't I tend to walk a little slower. The first thing that happened as I was walking in the produce aisle was an employee with a cart was trying to get around me and the cart was pretty much inches away from me until they made a frustrated sigh and quickly walked around me. I'm not a dramatic person by any means and usually I'm pretty understanding but this was entirely unnecessary. Then I was in the frozen aisle because I was looking for gluten free bread and the older employee who was also in this aisle seemed to already be frustrated with whatever task he was doing, but nevertheless I simply asked where the gluten free bread is, to which he replied "Well if you don't see it in this aisle then its probably in another one." Then he went back to whatever he was doing. Finally, and by far the most rude moment I've ever had at a Whole Foods, there was a younger lady in one of the aisles I was trying to get an item in, and the item I was looking for was right in front of where she was standing and restocking some things. I said, "pardon me I just need to grab something." She replied, and I wish I was kidding, "You can wait, I'll be done in a second." Come on Whole Foods, all of this was entirely unnecessary and especially the last employee should know how to treat a customer. I wasn't rude to any of these people and I don't know what was going on a couple of weeks ago when this happened but I was very disappointed and expect more out of a grocery store where 2 bags of groceries costs $125. As we all know, Whole Foods is a great place for quality and healthy groceries. Cruising around the market, we ran into Asian Express located near the fish market. They offer pre-made Sushi selections, fresh Sushi, Noodle Soup Bowls, Grilled Rice Bowls, Bento Combos, Korean BBQ and other Asian inspired appetizers. During my first visit, I tried the White Chicken Fun, which is a rice noodle soup with chicken, straw mushrooms, bean sprouts, napa cabbage, green onions, bok choy, cilantro, lemon juice and lemon grass. The ingredients were fresh as expected, but the broth was a bit too sour and salty. I'm excited to try their other offerings, as this was a decent start. The service was friendly and quick. You actually get to witness your food being prepared fresh. Definitely a healthy alternative to a typical artery clogging fast food restaurant. read more

This WF is huge. Clean. Well stocked. Wide aisle duh. Located in a new community in Lakewood. Totally reminds me of the Santana Row area in San Jose. Only thing different here is there are no products sold outside. Wether it's because of the searing heat outside or just because they're bigger! Either way it's fine by me. Any local Colorado products are well designated with a yellow sticker. They have an underground parking that has two charging stations for Electric Vehicles. Level 2. Score! I may be wrong but I think there's four ways to get in and out of the garage. You can either take the elevators to the garage or stairs. The staff are friendly and very helpful. read more

Super disappointed by this location. It used to be an amazing store, but the whole layout has changed, and it is very confusing. Everything seems much more spread apart, and some of the food counters near the bakery are not there. Saw some outdated sauces and freshly made desserts on shelves, so did not buy as much as intended. Store was super eerily empty at 4 PM on Friday before Christmas. Cashier was super unfriendly. Did not greet me, or say anything until I said "Hi, How are you?" Also, barely any eye contact. While I always bag my own groceries, I thought it was weird she didn't even offer to help.
