    Chicken parm sandwich
    Alex K.

Great sandwiches! We tried the Italian and the chicken parm and they both were so good. The chicken parm comes with a dipping cup of tomato sauce and I could have drank it because it was so good. The restaurant is very relaxed and casual and the meals came out quickly. Can't wait to go back and try the pizza.

So bummed. This used to be my favorite pizza spot, and I would go out of my way to get it. Now, it's inconsistent at best, sometimes has a weird taste like cleaning supplies, and takes forever. Sauce is great, dough is good as long as it isn't burnt (would say it often has been), and cheese has gone down in quality.

Possibly one of the best meals I have had in the Springs the past 2 years of living here. They were insanely busy because of course a Saturday night the month they open is bound to be busy. We got seats at the bar right away tho! Woohoo! We tried the PNW but it took us a good 15 minutes to decide because all the options looked delicious. The PNW was exceptional and so was their house salad with the little salami slices in it. The service was also outstanding. We were checked on by several staff members throughout the evening. The cannolis were also delicious and enormous. I will definitely be heading back for the patio and tiramisu.

The Cutlet with a Side of Pesto Pretty Fly (For a White Pie) on House Focaccia

My family and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon since we were in the neighborhood, and the place was packed! I've been wanting to check this place out since their chicken cutlet sandwich went viral on social media. I walked in most excited to try that-- but ended up completely blown away by the pizza. Good pizza is hard to find in Colorado, and after reading more about this business, it makes sense why this place stands out. The restaurant is old by a couple from New York, who brought their skills and specialty to Denver and it truly shows in every bite. Even my toddler loved it so much she ate two slices! The chicken cutlet sandwich was also fantastic. We upgraded the bread to their house focaccia and added a side of pesto, following the recommendations from the viral video, and that combo really made the sandwich. The chicken cutlet was slightly tough, but was still flavorful and satisfying overall. I'll definitely be back to try more.

In town for a concert and this was right around the corner from our airbnb and thank goodness we stopped in! it was so tasty and fairly quick despite how busy they were. we both got pizzas that were delicious. I want to go back and try a sandwich because the focaccia bread looked to die for. definitely stop in or order something to-go! you won't regret it.

This was my 2nd....3rd time to Pizzeria Leopold! I never LIKE PIZZA IN MY LIFE, until I happened one day recently to pop into Pizzeria Leopold!! Now I am addicted!! Must workout more!! Our host and magnificent Creator & Chef Chris, is absolutely the most accommodating owner I have ever met, even when he had to apprise me of a correction in my first review (as my face turned red) Chris is talented; "Perfection in Pizza crafting via Chris and the entire staff!" The Bruata Salad is created with a very special dressing; a reduction of Pear & Wine, the Wine reduction is reduced further to adding a magnificent flavor over the greens - savory beets, pears and Brutata cheese, adding slices of homespun Focaccia with Olive oil drizzled for the flawless flavor and soft texture in one's mouth. I wish to purchase the entire square loaf of the Focaccia!! The choices are endless as to combinations in your own pizza (as read in many commented reviews.) Crafting their own Pesto is a secret, smoothed to perfection in taste. The flavors of the pesto and cheese are then augmented by each customer's personal choices of toppings, melding together - a taste of Heaven is the experience. I personally love Kalamata olives, Basil and Cherry Tomatoes! Yet, any vegetarian would be more than welcomed, now that I finally found a Pizzeria with so much talent and love in their food. Never passing up the "Bruatta salad with sassy Beets. This is might be a neighborhood stop, yet people from all around Colorado counties come to enjoy the exemplary service, warm smiles and welcoming greetings as one walks through their doors. There are varying seating, including a Bar with two TV's and TV's on the main dining room wall. One never misses a game yet the sound is palpable for those of us who wish to work; free WIFI! The ambiance is casual and Welcoming!! Flavors waffling through the filled restaurant, the aromas of "mastery blending of foods" with PASSION! Nothing has been missed from the food, welcoming in the front door, checking to see if you are enjoying your food, and a warm goodbye when leaving. The Parking area is ample, in an unpresuming area SE corner of 20th & Wadsworth Wheat Ridge.

Finally made it hear with the family on a hungry afternoon after school. I read many yelp reviews on the best hi have try so we ended up with the Italian sandy on focaccia, meatballs, arugula salad, garlic knots, cheese pizza and a cannoli for dessert! The food was tasty and my favorites were the meatballs and salad and surprisingly delicious cannoli! Service was attentive and I liked that they had a full bar. Ambiance was casual and I can only imagine how packed it gets later in the evening! I would have to say that although the focaccia had good flavor, it would have been a whole new level if it was warm and soft!

This place is our go to spot for pizza in the neighborhood. We love the crispy crust and all of the pizzas are fantastic. Took around 45 min for a Wednesday night takeout order which is reasonable and the ambiance for eating inside is casual. Love this place and will continue to come back!

I've been wanting to try this place for some time. It has many positive reviews. Well this review will be positive but not 5 stars. The restaurant itself is not big and has under 10 tables for patrons. It is what it claims to be a pizzeria! By and large you are looking at either a pizza or a sandwich though they do have appetizers. I must admit the pizzas are quite good. I had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and it was full of flavor so kudos for that. Another ar our table had a fungi pizza and it also was quite tasty. This pizzeria joint is pretty good! You can get wings so that's also a plus. However we did get a sandwich with focaccia bread but the bread slices were large and drowned out the meat. My spouse had the dip sandwich and from what I could see the food between the slices was sparse. She left hungry and a bit overwhelmed by the focaccia bread slices. Seating was eclectic and we sat on metal chairs that my older body did not care for. Overall I do love the pizza but not sure about the rest. It is worth trying if you are in the area especially if you like pizza. And in the future I might try another sandwich just to see if a different sandwich might be great!

Stopped in to pick up lunch to go on the bicycle today. I had a 1/2 and 1/2 chocolate chip/pistachio cannoli and a mint mojito kombucha to snack on while I waited. I can confirm that it is the true breakfast of champions! I also got a chicken parm sub, beet salad, pear burrata, and a gnarly mountain root beer cookie to go. Yes it's enough of for lunch and dinner and that's what I'm banking on. The chicken parm is always fantastic and I love the raspberry vinaigrette on the beet salad. I haven't dipped in to the pear burrata and focaccia just yet, but I know they'll be phenomenal too.

Pizzeria Leopold is a neighborhood pizzeria that has undergone a few changes over the years. The locally owned spot used to be called Deli Italia, focusing more on the deli side of things. The husband and wife owners ended up converting the space into a humble pizzeria with a proper dining room, beer and wine list, and Italian market items for sale. It's a home run for this side of town! They're in the same plaza as European Market which is one of the most underrated places in the entire city if you ask me. I was craving an Italian sandwich on a Friday night and ended up popping in for a quick bite. The restaurant was packed with families dining in, as well a good amount of people picking up their pizzas to go. ITALIAN HERO ($15) // Ham, salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone, tomatoes, lettuce, oregano, pepperoncini and red wine vinaigrette. *PRO TIP* instead of the baguette it comes on, splurge on their HOUSEMADE FOCACCIA BREAD. I'm not an expert on many things in life, but an Italian sandwich is my last meal. This one is a strong contender for one of the best on this side of town. The bread alone took it to a whole new level. Would devour again and again! One thing I'd love to see is a larger selection of market items. It was pretty bare when I was in. I also think they should put labels/prices on the items! I probably would've bought a few if I had known the prices, but I wasn't gonna go up to the counter on a busy Friday night when they had a full restaurant. Known for their pizzas, but do not miss these sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. Excited to bring my family back here for more sit-down experiences!

This place is lights out. I don't want to write a review because I don't want too many people to find out about it. Every thing is made in house and if it isn't you're going to get top tier ingredients. Service was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Great service! Best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had and great atmosphere! We will definitely make this one of our staples moving forward.

Coming from an Italian family, I am well versed in Italian sandwiches. Carmine Lornardo's the real deal! We ordered the 24" Carmine Italian. Every bite was as good as the last. My dad struck up a conversation with Carmine, who was working behind the counter as he does every day, just as his dad (according to him). We sat down at one of the 4 tables to enjoy our sandwich which was pre split for us. As we were finishing up and the lunch crowd was slowing a bit but was still steady, when Carmine stopped at our table to chat with my dad. He told us an amazing story of how their sausage and pepper sandwich was featured in Food & Wine magazine and how he found Put about it. A true Italian man living in his owned world, he was not familiar with the magazine. But that put them on the food seen. He then brought my dad his famous sausage and pepper sandwich, on the house! We came back later that week and ordered pasta with sausage and sauce for dinner which he provided as part of their dinner to go series. If I lived closer, I would never be cooking, I would just be at Carmine's for lunch and dinner! Don't sleep on this authentic Italian restaurant with old world charm.
