    two halves of a sandwich

I love subs. Specifically, I love Italian subs. On my trip to Denver, we decided that subs were the takeout option for lunch. I of course, opted for an Italian and it was so good. The bread has the perfect mix of a bit of flakiness but soft as well. The sub was STACKED with meat and all the toppings. I specifically loved the hot pepper mix I added to my sub. My friend's sandwich looked amazing also. If you're in the area and looking for a sub, I would try out Stack's. They've been voted best sandwich in Denver for 6 years in a row, so if that isn't reason enough to check them out, I'm not sure what is!

This place has a far more welcoming feel than most chain sub shops nowadays. Not to mention the ladies behind the counter were straightforward, no meandering about. Got my sub amd grub real quick-like. A little pricier than usual, but that's probably because our economy is eating itself in real time. But it is soft, warm and delicious!

Having missed out on the recent event here at STACK Subs, I jumped on the opportunity to check them out when I realized my hairstylist had moved to a salon nearby. So after a little me time, I made my way to STACK Subs to grab lunch before heading home. SPACE: During my visit they were not open for dine in service. Had the weather been warmer, they do offer a couple tables out from of the restaurant where you can grub down and catch some rays. They have their large menu laid out behind the counter on chalkboards and have a no frills, fast-casual feel about them. SERVICE: The woman working behind the counter was friendly enough. She asked me a few questions while she whipped up my meal. BITES: I opted for the turkey bacon special (roasted turkey, smoked bacon, homemade spicy cream cheese, and basil pesto spread) with added ranch and avocado, because avocado is delicious. My sandwich was STACKED with turkey and slathered with all good stuff. I chose a large because I wanted to have some leftovers for later, and I definitely got what I was looking for. The sandwich was huge! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. BEVERAGES: STACK Subs offers up the expected variety of beverages including sodas and milk shakes. I decided to get a vanilla shake because I was craving something a little sweet. It was decent enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. STACK Subs definitely lived up to the hype. While it's a bit of a drive for me, I wouldn't hesitate at grabbing another meal here when I'm in the area! **Pro Tip: Parking in the area is all paid as far as I can tell. While you could gamble if you're grabbing an order to-go - why risk it?

Yelp did an event here , so decide to try them out. Pro tip! Park before or near Teller street because it's right around the corner. I had trouble finding Tuesday at 8pm since there is only street parkinf available right near by. Once I kind of found parking, went inside. They had my order ready to go since I called ahead. I got the large tuna sandwich with chips and a drink. The bread tastes fresh and slightly toasted, the tuna was good quality as well. There was a good amount of filling to bread. I'm very impressed..I would prefer them over most sandwich places. Looking forward to trying more item menus!

Did I mention I love round foods? One of the unique things about STACK is that its signature sub is round! Who says a sub has to be "footlong"? I upgraded mine with a pretzel roll and it added even more uniqueness to the sandwich. It was 30 min before closing when I picked up my order and the turkey inside my sub was every bit as fresh as if this was when they first opened. The shop is actually really spacious and filled with good sandwich smells. Would be a place to hang out post-covid! Let alone it being so close to ShareTea and the movie theater. I had a Lime La Croix to wash evverything down, it really complimented my Turkey Bacon Special which had a little kick to it thanks to STACK's homemade spicy spread. The only mistake I made was getting a cookie instead of chips. Mental note to self: always remember, chips pair well with sandwiches! You want that crunch.

    Club Large Club Sub Sandwich

Club sandwich, added pesto to it and got a large sandwich and it was super affordable. No extra charges for toppings which was nice. Lots of meat, and the staff was so nice! Will be back

I ordered an Italian sub through Door Dash and it was the smallest sandwich I've ever seen. Each half was about 2-3 bites worth. Super flat, and just disappointing all around. I can tell that if it was a nice big sub, that it would've been very tasty, but for whatever reason, I got some sample of a sub.

7/3/24-We stopped in here before the area got busy for the festival. The subs were super pricey for the size and they don't fill them very well. Then when we sat down to eat we noticed how dirty the place was. Even though they had staff just standing around talking, tables needed cleaned and the floor swept. If the place was in that condition when it wasn't busy it makes me wonder how bad it gets when they are. All around disappointing experience I would recommend trying one of the other places in the area.

The food is good but not much to it and very expensive for what it is. If you're charging $9-10+ per sandwich, then make a $9-10 sandwich.

Coming from an Italian family, I am well versed in Italian sandwiches. Carmine Lornardo's the real deal! We ordered the 24" Carmine Italian. Every bite was as good as the last. My dad struck up a conversation with Carmine, who was working behind the counter as he does every day, just as his dad (according to him). We sat down at one of the 4 tables to enjoy our sandwich which was pre split for us. As we were finishing up and the lunch crowd was slowing a bit but was still steady, when Carmine stopped at our table to chat with my dad. He told us an amazing story of how their sausage and pepper sandwich was featured in Food & Wine magazine and how he found Put about it. A true Italian man living in his owned world, he was not familiar with the magazine. But that put them on the food seen. He then brought my dad his famous sausage and pepper sandwich, on the house! We came back later that week and ordered pasta with sausage and sauce for dinner which he provided as part of their dinner to go series. If I lived closer, I would never be cooking, I would just be at Carmine's for lunch and dinner! Don't sleep on this authentic Italian restaurant with old world charm.

We were on our way up to red rock and wanted to grab some lunch for the tailgate. We ordered the French dip and the special #5 cutlet sandwich as well as Mac salad and black and white cookie. The sandwiches are expensive but big. The French dip was $13.99 and the special was $18.99 for an 8in. Our meal ended up being around $60 for two sandwiches, a Mac salad, chips and two pastries. The mac salad was very good and tasty but the sandwiches were a total disappointment. The French dip lacked ANY flavor even a bit of salt would've gone a long way. When we dipped it in the au jus, it still lacked any flavor. We ended up only taking a few bites then tossing it and moving onto the #5. Both sandwiches were incredibly soggy and we maybe ate them 20 minutes after getting them. Taste was decent with the cutlet sandwich but oh my heartburn. We both had heartburn the entire duration of the concert. Just a disappointing experience after spending so much money.

The staff was super nice and efficient but the sandwich was meh At the time I arrived they were already putting the chairs away because they were closing in a few, so I made a rushed decision: The Aspen Buddha (Turkey Swiss Curry Aioli Sunflower Seeds Lettuce Tomatoes Sprouts Banana Peppers Cucumbers). In my mind I was making a "healthy choice" but in reality I felt like I was about to eat a loaf of bread. I thought it seemed silly to pay only $2 less for a half a sandwich so I ordered the whole but then shamefully threw away most of the bread and ate only the innards which were also pretty boring. Even though I'm trying to keep my carb intake in check--I'm fully capable of for example enjoying a whole loaf of challah in one sitting if inspired but this wheat loaf did not inspire those kind of urges. As for the rest of the sandwich, it could have really used more curry aioli or something because I don't think I tasted that at all. If was ever forced to eat this same sandwich again I might ask for a side of vinaigrette, giardiniera, avocado. Something. The people were right: this was a dry sandwich. The reason I was even in Golden is because I wanted to test the feasibility of taking the W line to the Golden government center that is 2 miles from downtown and then riding my bike to have a picnic by Clear Creek. Turns out that yes, this is great with the understanding that the bike ride back to the light rail is way more intense when heading back to Denver. All uphill on my single speed! Without the Aspen Buddha, since it was 95 degrees or so I might have died had I not eaten/rehydrated. I am thankful for that. Also thankful for the life lesson about bringing my own picnic so I only have myself to complain to next time.
