We have been a fan of Chef Kevin for a few years now. This was our first time making a trip to visit his restaurant. What a compliment to the start of our trip. We started as most did with the Sweet Potato Burrata. What a great dish. The chips were amazing. The pomegranate seeds helped cut the sweetness. A very rich tasting starter that should actually be a dessert. It was something I would have not expected. We then had the house salad, For us two, we would have been happy with the meal ending with that. We are not big eaters and weren't ready for the size of the Portions. Everything is served family style. Bring your appetite. The dressing was unique and tasty. The salad was perfectly dressed. The pickled onions were to die for. We then had the Bibimbap. WOW, what a flavorful profile. Kevin, you out did yourself. I have never had Korean influenced food before and this has turned me into a fan. Then came the tots. As noted previously, these are some of the best tots ever. What a beautiful piece to an already excellent meal. Finally, we topped off the evening with a Special dessert of banana pudding. I didn't taste bananas, so not too sure I have the name right. But it was delicious with the Gojunang Caramel sauce on top. We are thankful we had the opportunity to share this restaurant with people and ourselves. What a great place to visit!

Tasty Korean food here! We ordered: Brussel sprouts- crispy, sweet, fried, would order again. Kimchi pancake- VERY good. Excellent crisp on the outside. Soft on the inside. Excellent flavor. Waygyu short ribs: we ordered medium rare - it was cooked to our liking. Flavor is excellent. Love the 3 dipping sauces. The fav sauce was the soy garlic ginger w the raw egg. Hot stone Bibimbap: flavor was excellent but was not an authentic Hot Stone / dolsot bibimbap. It was served in a hot stone that wasn't hot and rice was not crispy at all. Plan early by making a reservation if you want to come here. I didn't prefer the dark setting. We sat on the left side of the restaurant, which seemed darker. We had to move the table lamp to the middle of the table to see our food. We had to adjust the lamp to take decent food photos here. Good food needs to be visible too.

Who wants to try a new cuisine? We tried a restaurant called Birdies, in Edmond. Everything we ordered was fun, different than anything I have ever had. Chef is a Food Network winner! Small restaurant, need reservations. Seems very clean. Excellent servers. Quiet and able to talk and hear each other. Decor is masculine, I hear it is Industrial Renaissance Revival!

I went to Oklahoma for a Valentine's Day date in Edmond. I took my date to Birdies after after discovering it on Yelp. This was the first time for both of us as I live in Fort Worth, Texas. Biut she does live in Edmond. The restaurant was very nice and upscale. We were supposed to sit at the bar because it was very crowded and we barely got a reservation. But when we got there, the bar was full and it was time for our reservation. I told my date that we would end up getting a table. Just a few minutes later we did get that table so it was very nice. All of the food came family style, so you could just share it, we both enjoy this. The service was great and we were satisfied tremendously. We had the Bulgogi bowl. Next time we will try the ribeye.

"Twice as good" FOR REAL! Honestly, I am kicking myself for not coming here sooner. My friend and I shared a medium rare wagyu filet, kimchi pancake and Brussels sprouts. The filet practically melted in our mouths, it was prepared and salted to perfection. Definitely make reservations in advance. We were a party of 3 without reservations (not knowing), and I had to send my husband home! Embarrassing, but the bar is so small...DO NOT EXPECT to walk in unless it's only 2 of you. Even then, ...just make the reservation. You could be gambling, haha. No Chef Kevin sightings but we loved the dark modern decor and feel of the restaurant. It's small and cozy with very friendly and warm staff. I cannot wait to go back soon. Such a gem for OKC! Making a reservation this time... ;P

Don't judge this place by its name! I was definitely surprised by the quiet elegance of this place. The food was impeccably presented and the taste did not disappoint. We started with the Sweet potato burrata. The candied sweet potatoes makes this dish stand out! This is a definitely must have! I ordered the sticky ribs and was impressed they tasted as good as they looked. perfectly sweet and sticky with a little kick. We finished with a dessert that was similar to Gojujang pudding? I rene ver thinking there's no way I would like a spicy dessert. I'm not sure where the gojujuang flavor was but I surely didn't taste it. What I tasted though, was pure delight in every bite! It was smooth and light with the right amount of sweetness. You'll definitely want more than a couple bites of this!

Empty tables, empty promises I'm all reservation system, but the table management here is truly a display of inefficiency We stood in the lobby while two tables sat completely vacant because they were reserved in 45 minutes. We were still told no when promised to vacate before the next reservation It's a special kind of "unpleasantry" to watch empty tables waste away while the lobby is full of paying customers. If your reservation book is more important than the customers physically present , you aren't "managing" a restaurant--you're running a reservation system

Not a negative thing to say! We very much enjoyed the Wagyu short ribs! It comes with 3 sauces and lettuce wraps. We paired that with the bibimbap and it was perfect together! The service was informative and quick. She gave great suggestions and that helped us plan our meal well. There is a small bar inside with bar top seating. I would advise making a reservation in advance. It's not a huge restaurant so seating can be limited given they are mainly open 5-10:30 Tuesday-Saturday. We would definitely go again!

Came for Valentines around 9 a reservation was made. They have a main and plates advised better to pick from. Was a little skeptical on the sweet potato burrata I don't eat all sweet potato's but it was so good! For the plates I had the Tteokkboki rice cakes and buttered cheese corn scallops, didn't like the texture on the rice cakes but the corn was good it was pretty much corn and cheeses. For the entree I got the prime rib the flavor was good but I think the meat needed to be cooked longer. Lastly I had the Carmel banana pudding if your a fan of cream cheese you'd like it.

This may be my new fav restaurant just due to the sheer fun of it. That's not to say all the food isn't excellent, but the uniqueness and "fun factor" set it miles apart from some other things at this price point. This is also definitely my favorite of the "by Chef Name" disappointments that seem to be popping up everywhere. This was also actually my first pick for my bday but they were closed on Mondays. Sweet Potato Burrata - I don't like sweet potato but I like burrata so taking a leap of faith in a new restaurant I decided to try it anyway. It was delicious and possibly the most unique dish I've ever had. It was stunning visually. 5/5 Beef Tartare - My favorite item. Fantastic. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my life. Closer to a yellowtail special mixture at a good sushi restaurant than a traditional beef tartare, it combines two of my favorite things flawlessly. 6/5 Prime Strip - 5/5, but nothing really to comment on. Exactly as you'd expect. Wagyu Ribeye - 5/5, the shape of the meat made it perfect for dipping/lettuce wraps without the need to cut. The quality was excellent. We also got the filet, but that was my girlfriend's so I can't remember enough to comment on it. I may not have even tried it, but everyone enjoyed their meals thoroughly. The sides were good as well, but I can't recall specifics. Another HUGE positive is giving 3 dipping sauces for each steak. That will make me keep coming back. It's so dang fun. At this price point, usually you have to individually order tiny cups of sauce for $3+ each which quickly adds up to $9+ if you want to try more than one. Birdie's just gives you dipping sauces by default which means a lot to me. It changes every year, but as of right now, I think Birdie's is my fav restaurant in the city.

Worth every penny! Had an amazing time at Birdie's and will definitely be back. Definitely recommend making reservations. Got here during the week with three other friends and had a great time. The vibes were amazing not noisy, we were able to have great conversation and hear ourselves. The food was chef's I loved everything served especially banana pudding Will I be back ? yes

First, get a reservation! Our seats were ready for us a moment we entered, and our waitress came by with waters very quickly. She explained the menu and left us to look. We were looking at other tables and we noticed a trend so we kind of follow suit. we got the one salad that is available and the sweet potato Burrata appetizer. Get the sweet potato!!!! It's sweet enough where it might be considered a dessert but yet the bread component makes it savory. Our entrée was the corn cheese, scallop, and the marinated short rib. The scallop was cooked very well, but the corn cheese was a little bit on the salty side and as it got cooler, it got more and more weird in textured and I think it's because the cheese was cooling down. However, the short rib was amazing. It comes with three different sauces and lettuce to wrap in and it's plenty for the whole table to share. We ended our night with the black sesame crème brûlée and if you do have room, I highly recommend you getting it because of flavor is amazing overall I like to come here when I have a special occasion and I know I will be eating really good food.

I hate to write this because the service and kindness were absolutely amazing, but the food--specifically the steak--was a huge disappointment. I ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, and it honestly tasted like water--no flavor, no seasoning, just completely underwhelming. For the price, I expected something memorable, and instead it was the worst steak experience I've had. I will never order that again. That said, the staff deserves real praise. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the experience better than it otherwise would have been. The salad was fresh and delicious, and the drinks were great as well.If this place could match their food quality--especially the steak--to their excellent service, it would be a totally different experience. Unfortunately, the steak alone made this visit a letdown.

After 40 minutes I finally asked my server to physically go check on it. She disappeared into the kitchen for 10 minutes, then came back with the manager. Turns out my server had rung in a cocktail instead of my salad. Fine -- mistakes happen. What's not fine is that the manager's solution was to ask me to pay the difference because the salad cost more. I'd been sitting there for an hour. I said no thanks, cancel the order. On my way out I overheard the manager tell the bartender "don't worry about it" -- apparently already moving on while I was still standing there with no food and no apology. I turned around and confirmed my card wasn't charged. Left after an hour. Hungry. And no putting Eddies on the Do Not Go Back list. Went to RR and had a RR salad. Belly happy!!!
