If you're looking for an old timey steakhouse feel, this is a great place to have a meal. The service is phenomenal and the food was fantastic. The entire experience from phone call to finished eating was high touch. Would definitely go back here if I was in OKC again.

5 Stars! I wasn't sure what to expect because I'm from Dallas and used to really top notch steak houses. Everything was truly top-notch! The food was outstanding--especially the crab cake on the steak and cake, which had a wonderful lemony sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The only drawback was that the lobster on the lobster tower was a bit tough, but the shrimp, crab legs, and oysters were all excellent. I'd order everything again exactly the same. My husband and son split the Japanese Wagyu Carving Board and absolutely loved both the Wagyu and the Angus. They also raved about the lobster mac and cheese. The banana pudding cake was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed on a Wednesday night at 5:30 PM, and the bar--attached but still separate--was lively without affecting the dining room. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return!

I enjoyed the bar and the atmosphere. All the bartenders name David so ....easy to remember .there is smoking allowed in the bar area . Most men were smoking cigars not cigarettes. I went for happy hour and not for a meal .Fried pickles a bit overdone but I want to go back and try the food .

The food was excellent but the service was phenomenal! Jason Pitman was wonderful and we can't wait to go again just for him!!!

I hate to do, but it's back down to 4 stars based on this visit. The food just did not delight like it should at this price point. I will say the exception was the dessert-we had the cookie skillet (best dish of the night in my opinion) and the pecan pie skillet with cinnamon ice cream, also delicious. I had the glazed salmon special for my entree, and I was so disappointed at the lack of flavor. I should probably stick to the steak next time.

    The Carving Board sampler!

Great food (can't recommend the A5 Wagyu enough!) but even better service! We were there to celebrate my son's graduation from the FAA Academy and Jason P was a fantastic server and a joy to be around. Entire service team worked well together and made the evening memorable. keep up the great work!

Ordered the most expensive dish on the menu, the wagyu sampler. One of the 4 cuts was ALL fat. Manager did take it off our tab, but unbelievable that they would try to serve this! I also have serious doubt the rest was real wagyu from Japan. Not bad meat, but not Wagyu.

We went for my dad's birthday and it did not disappoint! We got a complimentary dessert and photo taken. So much food and our server was top notch

When in the Dirty South! Came to the good city (OKC) to visit one of the better money grabs, and I found my self to this steak house. Right across the street there's a minor league baseball stadium which reminds me of my days in the FED (FPHL)! The FPHL and AAA baseball are both the peak of minor league in their respective sports (Although baseball is soft). The food here was damn good, And the service was even better. I ordered the french onion soup, the NY Strip RARE (Anything above it is for pansy's). Aswell as ordering all the sides on the menu and multiple loaves of bread safe to say i ain't a lug. From the bar I ordered 3 manhattans to start followed by a Long Island Iced tea to bring out my roots of the non greasy town of Massapequa! For dessert I had the cheese cake which was too cakey with not enough cheese. Very nice decor on the walls with some Yankees/ Mickey Mantle memorabilia, those Yankees were real men unlike today's suckers. Overall Damn good, if i find my self in the Dirty South again I will be back safe to say. Also the bathroom was nice

Wait staff was excellent. Food very average. Calamari was tasty but chewy. Same with the prime ribeye. It was chewy with lots is sinew. Onion rings lacked flavor and separate very easily. Jalapeño Mac was over cooked and mushy. Brussels lacked flavor and under cook - hard crunch. The chop salad was heavy on dressing and very sweet.

Ok so we had Andrea as are waiter! Food was off the chart! The steak was incredible! The staff was so friendly and professional! Lots of celebrities and professional athletes eat here! I know why food was5 stars! Excellent job Chef! Will be back ! We had Andre'

The secret to a happy marriage is date night (okay, one of the secrets!), and we spent our date night at Mickey Mantle's. This is one of our regular steak spots in OKC, and it has been 80% hit and 20% miss over the years--after a slow start this night turned out to be another hit. We arrived 20 min early for our reservation and the host offered to see us to our table--maybe a bad idea because the servers were not ready for us, we should have waited at the bar with a drink instead of at our table without. We were seated in a side room we hadn't been in before, with a view of ... the bathroom. Could have been better. Our waitress Karina brought our drinks (a fantastic and reasonably priced Cabernet and an 18-year Glenlivet--the scotch selection is excellent) and our crab cake appetizer, a tower of delicate crabmeat on a lemony sauce. Next we had French onion soup and Mickeys chopped salad. The soup was stuffed with bread and onions, topped with cheese and the salad was fresh and crisp, served on a cold plate. For entrees we chose the steak--a perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth tender filet and a perfectly cooked ribeye. Our sides of fried okra and August gratin potatoes were also hot and delicious. Karina ensured our food was good and our drinks were filled and was great. We have been to countless fine dining steakhouses and I am disappointed that this one doesn't keep track of regular or recurring customers.

Was in town for work and heard positive feedback on here! Definitely was correct! Service was excellent on a Tuesday night and food was excellent. Got the 10oz filet and cooked to perfection as medium rare and nice crust. Also we ordered the lamb chops medium and they were outstanding. The bacon covered Brussels sprouts are a must if you like sprouts. The beefsteak caprese salad was solid but was missing some flavor. Would definitely recommend.

Must try: T-Bone Steak and a Double Deuce Beer!…read more Why: I've been craving steak for a few weeks and when I arrived at OKC a few people recommended Cattlemen's. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was juicy and tender. It was also a large steak. Meal came with a house salad, baked potato, bread and a roll. I was also going to order Lamb Fries as an appetizer, but the waitress was able to let me try one piece on the house - great service! It would have been way too much food for one person. I washed it all down with their refreshing Double Deuce Beer. Everything was flavorful and satisfying - the steak hit the spot for me. Notes: It was a quick drive from downtown. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by hostesses and seated immediately. Everyone was warm and friendly. Def felt historic and legendary inside with their table booths, photos, and decor. A great hearty meal for my last night in OKC!

Both were served in short order & although we wouldn't say they were the best we've ever had they were terrific nonetheless. Our server did a decent job & the prices were quite fair ( 2 Entrees, 3 Cocktails & a Dessert for $ 150.69 ) Next time we find ourselves in Oklahoma city we will certainly stop back in for another great meal, possibly even for breakfast since they open at 8am.

We got the Baked Chèvre for our appetizer. It was layered with flavor and a most delicious and perfect bite for a cold evening. My entree was the Rainbow Trout. The fish had crispy skin and was moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The broad bean mixture served with it was equally delicious. The hubby had Honey Roasted Lavender Chicken which he declared to be one of the best chicken dishes he's ever had. He even raved over the vegetables that came with it. Of course I also had to try dessert. I loved my warm spice cake with a scoop of ice cream and swirls of buttery caramel rum sauce. Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.

From Oklahoma City it's less than an hour drive, and before long you know you've left city life behind. As the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover -- and the same applies here. From the outside the building is pretty modest, but once you step inside you immediately get that cozy, homey feeling. Another unique feature: the restaurant is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:30-9:00 PM, and there are no menus. Your server simply tells you the options: * 8 oz or 12 oz Sirloin * Prime Rib * Rib Dinner * Chicken * Smoked Sausage * Salad Bar * Baked Potato, Sweet Potato, or Fries In my opinion, this is a classic approach -- keep the menu simple so the food and experience can shine. Based on reviews I had read on Facebook and Yelp, the advice was to arrive early or expect a line. Since this was our 20th anniversary dinner, we arrived about 30 minutes before opening and waited comfortably in the parking lot. Good move -- we were seated right when the doors opened at 4:30. The atmosphere inside is dimly lit and quaint, giving it a relaxed small-town steakhouse vibe. Our server Virginia greeted us quickly, took our drink order, and we both ordered the 12 oz sirloin with baked potatoes. The salad bar is simple but well done. One detail I loved: refrigerated salad plates -- in my opinion that's the only proper way to serve a side salad. The offerings included iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, shredded carrots, cucumbers, chives, croutons, and dressings like blue cheese, French/Catalina, and ranch. They also offer fried okra and pinto beans, which adds a nice Oklahoma touch. Instead of rolls, each diner receives a barbecue rib to start the meal -- now that's a unique and delicious idea. Our steaks arrived shortly after. I ordered mine medium rare, my wife went with medium rare plus, and both were excellent. The first bite had that unmistakable mesquite flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. Honestly, we probably didn't need the 12 oz steaks -- neither of us finished them. Could I have? Sure. But why be miserable? The meal was outstanding and exactly what we were hoping for on a special night. The only small disappointment was that there are no dessert options, but that's hardly a deal breaker. Final thoughts: Ken's Steak & Ribs is absolutely worth the trip. It takes a little planning because of their limited hours, but if you're looking for a classic Oklahoma steakhouse experience, this place delivers. We'll definitely be back.

On the salad bar is fried Okra and brown beans. They also offer a complimentary rib for each diner. The rib was very good. I ordered the sirloin. It was cooked to order and was flavorful. Sirloin is not a cut I would order if given options. Wish they had filet, T-bone and ribeye on the menu. Jan ordered the prime rib. It was nice and she enjoyed it. Texas Toast is served with the meal. It was nice to do something different. We enjoyed the meal. The hospitality was exceptional. The service very good. The prices are moderate.
