I have been getting my hair did on So Co since I started coming to college (2001) in Austin. Birds So Co wasn't around then, but since it's inception in 2006 I switched from a famous (and now overpriced) hair salon to Birds. This is the ONLY location I will get my hair done. Why? Because 1. affordable and always welcoming, 2. quality hair cuts and styles for your whole family, 3. free beer (Shiner) - you have a choice between Blonde and Bock, 4. free Pac Man & arcade games, and 5) I am ALWAYS given at least an hour of a stylists time for my hair care. This location has easy parking (has it's own lot with plenty of parking on the street if need be), comfortable and plentiful seating (as you await your stylist), and is easy to access off of South Congress. really couldn't be more pleased with my haircut from Ramsey. Had been unhappy with my expensive downtown stylist, and decided to give birds a try - I wasn't even sure they did women's haircuts!
