Came in for my appointment today to find out they didn't take my insurance. Unfortunately, no one got in touch with me before I came (set the appointment a week ago) because they incorrectly took down BOTH my phone number and my email address. I could have had another appointment lined up already and not wasted my morning if they could just take down information correctly. Just make sure you triple check your information when you're on the phone with them. read more

Dr. Bird and her staff not only make an eye exam painless but enjoyable. They are actually ready at your appointment time to begin your eye exams so there is no wasted time waiting. I am greatfull that for a small fee you can use their machine to photo the inside of your eyes vice having them dialated. Dr. Bird is very friendly and professional and will even tell you when there is no need to purchase new glasses. I highly recommend her. read more

My first visit earlier this year after reading all the 5 star reviews on Yelp. Dr. Bird was attentive and thorough in her exam. I had an eye and contact lens exam. There is no doubt she is a competent optometrist. What the practice is lacking is customer service in the front and frame selection. That is a deal breaker for me especially driving from Cinco Ranch into the endless disaster of a road called 1463. That was my first time there and I received no help in picking frames. The girl in the front looked like she didn't even want to be there. I get that it was around 3 on a Friday, but you're still getting paid to sit on your butt all day apparently, and you can't be bothered to attend to customers? She didn't ask about my price range, type of frame, or told me about the brands they carried. I was asking her questions while she was still sitting behind her desk. So there I was fumbling through each of their frames, until I found something. I must add my eyes were dilated from the exam and it was getting harder to see comfortably. Perhaps they should have made me pick out frames before the dilation exam. Honestly I would've walked out and not purchased frames if it weren't for the fact that my current glasses were broken and I need to wear glasses daily.The front desk girls need more customer service training otherwise it will affect this business. There are other practices in my area that I hear are fantastic on that end. Sadly, I won't be returning or see myself recommending this business. read more
