Some of the items even still have the security tag from the original store on them which is weird. This place is super shady, as I've had employees give me different prices on the same item. You're better off going to a legitimate place to spend your money.

Though the company declared bankruptcy a few years ago, they seem to have rebounded nicely with this location boasting big sales while looking for big business. Though they're not quite as cheap as Steve & Barry's, they do have some suits that are similar to the kind of stuff one could find at Syms or even Century 21. They just don't have as much inventory as the aforementioned stores, but any option for cheaper suits is a good option at the Queens Center. The shoe selection is not impressive, most of the stuff looks like knock off Aldo's (though I did spot a few Steve Madden pairs) with the price being roughly the same if not more. They also seem to carry a lot of Calvin Klein stuff, which also was pretty generic but still fairly fashionable for the budget shopper. Another thing that is worth noting is the folks who work here were super nice during my initial visit. They didn't come off as pushy sales people and they were very helpful in answering questions. I'll give them a few months before they become the typical agitated sales folk.

I told him my dilemma and showed him my girlfriends dress and pretty much asked to help me look presentable. He looked at the picture a couple of times and then asked if i needed a shirt & tie that matches her dress or a whole suit + the shirt & tie. Needless to say he was very patient with me and showed me what shirt matches with what suit and what tie goes with them as well. I bought 1 suit and got 2 free on Thurs 7/26/18 (based on a promotion they have going on currently). The tailer had to adjust the length of the pants which was $12 per suit. When I picked them up and tried them at home on 7/27/18 they fit perfectly. The one negative i would say about the place has nothing to do with the service but rather with their dressing room. It could use a little work but I have to say after going to mens warehouse and express in bay terrace, Quails not only gave me the attention i needed but also quality customer service.

In the past, I depended on Madewell for consistently delivering on quality leather goods: tote bags for work, leather boots, loafers and cute casual bags. As an educator, those were my staples. They also had great smooth cotton graphics tees and my faves were when they'd collaborate with orgs such as the NY Botanical Gardens. Rummaging through the sale sections during off season is usually catch some great cardigans and blazers for the fall and great bandannas and jewelry to add a little razzle dazzle. Nowadays, the prices have risen astronomically. Little stackable earrings are now on average $58 and the clasps are weak and poorly made. One day after purchasing 2 pairs from this store, they're coming apart. Purchase a purse, the leather is trashy. A lot of the classics that myself and half the teachers at my school used to purchase have been removed from the rotation. Super annoying! Madewell, please get back to basics. She tried to embarrass the f out of me in front of a full line bc I asked to have my purchase returned to my credit card which was the means by which I made my purchase. Routinely saying "I'm not following you at all" "I am so confused what you're asking for" "you want to do what????" in a very snarky rude demeanor. The customer service was -100/10. Learn how to do your job and stop being rude. And also, no one should allow you to be customer facing.

I ordered shoes online and received them with visible creasing and a partially rubbed-off size sticker, as if they had already been tried on before being shipped to me. The shoes were too narrow and too small, so I physically could not wear them. I only tried them on at home and returned them in the exact same condition. Instead of processing my return, the boutique sent the shoes back to me and claimed they were worn -- which is simply false. When I contacted customer service, I was told they would not refund me and that I should "contact my bank if I want to dispute it." For a luxury brand, this level of customer service is shocking and absolutely unacceptable. I shop high-end fashion often, and I have never been treated like this in any other luxury store. I will never shop here again, and I cannot recommend this boutique to anyone who expects professionalism, honesty, and respect as part of the luxury experience.

The carefulness and exactness he took in measuring my dimensions was matched by his input in helping to guide me through picking the fabric and design elements for my custom shirt. The end result was amazing. I love my new shirt, and I would highly recommend everyone try to get a custom tailored piece of clothing at least once in your life if possible because the feel and the fit are nothing short of magical.
