I had called Action Heating and Air for my furnace service and found them to be dependable and professional, so I figured I would give them another try. I booked an appointment a few days out and Rick showed up... on time and ready to tackle the a/c inspection. He did brief me on what he would be doing and then quickly got to work (no rush as it was not hot, well not yet anyway). He did his inspection and cleaning of the unit briefing me along the way as to his findings. Once done, he cleaned up the work area and presented me with a very reasonable bill of service. Rick was extremely professional and friendly at all times during the service visit. I would not hesitate on calling Action Heating and Air again for future services (like in November for the furnace service). Thanks again Rick!

Upon arrival the technician told me that we have some major issues and they need to be fixed as soon as possible due to safety issues. The technician then quoted me $3400 to replace the already brand new meter panel on the outside of the house in addition to placing in some ground rods and said some additional work might need to be done as well. Upon him leaving I borrowed a multimeter from my neighbor and tested the two hot wires and neutral coming into the house and they were way out acceptable voltage range which told me that this guy was full of crap as we were getting bad power coming into the house From the duke power line outside our house. Fast forward 2 days later Duke came out and re-crimped the neutral wire on the high line outside our house and our electric is now working perfectly fine with no dent made to my bank account. The duke lineman also said that this is something that any electrician worth his/her salt would be able to spot and let their customer know prior to suggesting them to spend a chunk of change to get something fixed that wasn't even going to solve the issue. I do not doubt that this guy knows what he's doing, but with that said he also knows what he's doing and will prey on those he thinks he can sucker into spending a boat load of money. I will be reporting him to my home warranty company and the BBB as having shady business practices.

I called early Saturday morning for a service tech to come check out what was going on with the furnace. Greater Comfort offered 24 hr service and answered immediately when I called. There was a service tech available 2 hrs from when I called. Jessie was polite, clean, knowledgeable, and walked me through every step of what he was doing. He diagnosed the issue in 15 minutes and gave me great options. He offered other services but didn't try to upsell, or pressure me. this was the best experience I have had in a long time with a service company! Arlinghaus has decided to change out the outdoor unit increasing size thus matching what was replaced. This is considerable expense to them but was the honorable thing to do. Hopefully this will be the final. Update to this review. In the end, Arlinghaus made a mistake sizing our replacement equipment up front but has gone a long way correcting that mistake in the end which is what really matters!

But the thermostats installed have never worked right. We've complained about them and had them out to check them and program them multiple times. Only one guy understands them so most of the techs made it worse. He got them to sorta work, but he revealed that they reset to defaults if the power goes out. They finally agreed to switch them out a week ago. Tech couldn't do it. Now there's a problem with the wiring. We've had no AC or fan for a week. We've called every single day and can only get their call service. They had to cut a hole in our ceiling to run duct work. They had a contractor repair it. The repair fell apart in months. Nobody EVER returned our calls. We finally had to pay our handyman to fix it. If they ever finish the job I'll let you know how their work is.
