The vegetables had good flavor and texture, and the whole thing came together really nicely. Honestly this was a really good veggie burrito, one of the better ones I've found at a food cart. Salbutes (4/5): Very fresh and good. The toppings were crisp and the tortilla held up well. A solid choice if you want something lighter than a burrito. Quesadillas (4/5): Good, and the kids loved them. They were simple but made with quality ingredients, and the cheese was nicely melted. Great for a quick bite or for picky eaters. Service: Not Rated Very friendly. The person taking our order was welcoming and patient with questions. Ambiance: Not Rated This is a food cart, so keep your expectations casual. I'll start with the negative: the cochinita pibil was a bit dry. The meat itself was not the highlight. However, it was made up for not just by the pickled cabbage, but especially by the tortillas: these are the best handmade tortillas I've had in at least a year. I personally prefer the salbutes because they're softer and more foldable, but the crunchiness of a panucho is like if the ideal tortilla chip expanded into a whole taco-sized tortilla. (Also: avocado was fresh and salsas were tasty.) read more

Another great spot for tacos, they also got some other options like salbutes, tortas & Poc chuc. Tacos are standard price @ 3.50, they do have cocinita pibil which was juicy and tasty. Cute little truck with some great authentic food! My grumpy hubs had 2 steak tacos and I had a fried tortilla she'll with beans and really yummy pork. It had fresh avocado and pickled onions and cabbage. So good! Friendly and quick service. The food at this little Oaxacan spot is unmatched in this city. I love their panuchos, especially cochinita but honestly everything is good. Better than good. Always busy but never slow, expect to wait a little bit, I promise you it will be worth it. I had the Poc Chuc and it was full of flavor and the soft corn tortillas are wonderful! I want a whole stack of them to snack on. 2 others in my party and all were happy with their dishes. although the most popular thing here is the panucho, which is a corn tortilla stuffed with black beans with protein / veg, i thought the spinach sope was the best thing here. the carne asada (steak) was rly juicy and had a great flavor. for the panuchos, i got the pork and chicken ones but the pork one was much more juicy. chicken was a bit dry but still tasted pretty good.. i like the pickled onions on them, it added a nice kick. getting three items was super filling, it was pretty much my only meal of the day. you could probably just get one thing here and be satisfied tbh. this place is a gem, authentic tasting. would surely recommend this to my friends! read more

The real deal. Do know they specialize in Yucatán region specialities, so you might see offerings not usually found at a traditional Mexican venue. The panuchos and salbutes were excellent and ample. Maybe because they are purists, but you are limited to chicken or Cochinita Pibil, while other places allow to top with carnitas, asada, etc. A menu surprise: fried Spinach Sopes, yum. The tacos were par for the course. The breakfast burrito is decent, but not in the upper echelon of Portland choices. Pico de gallo doesn't generally work. And crispy potatoes is what takes one to the next level, here they're boiled-like. Lastly, I didn't care for the crowd popular vegetarian burrito. What's missing from the menu are Banana leaf tamales that most Yucatán places offer. Friendly and relatively fast service. I think the large parking lot is all for the cart, but getting out onto Prescott heading West can be a little cumbersome. read more

This food truck is on the corner of 42nd and Prescott is easy to pass by, but worth stopping for if you're hungry and heading through Cully. This Latinx-owned biz serves Mexican and Yucatecan food. I got an ~$8 veg quesadilla which had cheese, bell peppers, and onions inside. Lettuce, tomato, and sour cream on the side. (No guac.) Also got a ~$9 veggie burrito which was a good size. Only thing I would do differently next time is ask for salsas! I could've used more spice in the burrito in particular. I think I might have been offered some as I was departing but I misheard / thought they were asking if I needed silverware. There are some picnic tables under a tent to eat here, but the busy streets aren't the most atmospheric. I suggest taking it to go. read more

Okay. So I went vegan... and of course kept going to LML because the food and people are the best. I was ordering custom vegan burritos on the regular, then I come to find out they added a vegan burrito to the menu *and named it after me* I'm so honored! Their seating is open and not covered, so pick the right day if you plan on sitting there. They do not offer alcohol, but a few assorted juices and sodas. I really recommend this cart! I've eaten here several times and the food is constantly wonderful. My favorites so far are the salbutes and the panuchos. The tortillas are hot and crispy so plan to eat them right away. There's limited seating so maybe avoid lunchtime or be okay with standing while you eat. read more

I'm calling it - Los Mayas has the best cochinita pibil in Portland. It's simply perfect. Gone are the days when I would have to spend two days making pibil at home to satisfy my craving! The panuchos are bomb as hell, but honestly everything here is good. I also love the burrito with pibil because they put escabeche de cebolla in it and it's just PERFECT, but fair warning that you may or may not be able to access napkins here and they are *definitely* necessary for the burrito due to the salsa being very juicy. However, I think burrito juice on your hands is a relatively painless problem to have! I'd stick to the Mexican offerings here over the breakfast burritos, they aren't bad at all but they do pale in comparison to the deliciousness of the other menu options. read more

Though I do not live "close" to this amazing cart, I find myself continuously ignoring more nearby options for their exceptional Yucatecan food. Everything they do seems to be just a notch better than other, already delicious, options. I am a big fan of their Panuchos. I also greatly admire their Carnitas, which reliably crisps the fatty parts of the meat for a most sublime and savory experience. The Yucatán trademark Cochinita Pibil is also first rate and can be had in a variety of formats. The Tortillas also bear mentioning for being pressed and cooked to order. Their slightly thicker texture just means more robust corn flavor and they hold up to travel quite well. read more
