First time being in Seattle and found this restaurant for an early lunch. The lamb rogan gosh has an excellent flavor; the lamb was not that tender. Very patient staff; and the food delivery was on point. Best things come to those with patience. Very causal ambiance; the typical restaurant on the street layout. I was excited to try their dosa and it didn't disappoint! This is a great spot to try on a First Thursday in Pioneer Square or on your way to/from a game. There is ample seating and windows to people watch from your seat. The service was great, friendly and attentive. And the food was delicious! Was a bit wary going in because decor is a smidge sparse and the L shape of the seating area is funky, but the food is delicious. Staff had an overall quiet vibe and super friendly. They don't do the buffet on the weekends (we learned) but we ordered from the menu and were impressed. We had butter chicken, spinach and garlic naan, stir fried noodles with egg and I tried the chai tea (which is unsweetened). Oh and my husband tried the chicken fried rice. read more

Been here for the buffet to go. But what really won me of is when I dined in and had the Chattinad Cauliflower Dosa. When ha asked if I only wanted one I thought it was going to be small but it was a generous portion. It definitely had a kick but still flavorful. Love how light and crispy it was. My first time having it. Came with Sambar and two chutneys one coconut the other tomato based which help to cut the spice a bit. Will definitely be back for more dosas!! Have told friends and work colleagues about the space. Service was friendly definitely liked dining in more than to go. read more

This just-opened Indian restaurant is a perfect lunch stop. The buffet lunch had a wide variety of dishes and the owner was welcoming and provided excellent service. I'm not Indian, but it sure seemed authentic to me in terms of flavor and ambiance. read more

Walked by this joint as part of the Underground Seattle tour. Smelled good so I followed my nose back after the tour. Excellent lamb biryani and butter chicken. Garlic naan is on point. The Rogan Josh was the star of the evening. Friendly and efficient service. Prices are probably appropriate for Seattle but are a little steep for this Texan. read more

The ambience was quite decent and better than I expected. However, the service was very slow. We were a group of 6 and ordered dosa, which took about 30-40 minutes to arrive. We also ordered idli, which I do recommend it was soft and paired well with the chutney and sambar. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the dosa. The batter tasted slightly sour, and the filling lacked flavor. Most of the customers seemed to be opting for the buffet, which appeared to be more of an Indian-American style. I don't think I would visit again, except perhaps for the idli, but overall the dosa was not worth the price. read more

UPDATE: VK was incredibly generous and offered a meal for two to make up for our reservation miscommunication. Although it is now two months later, I took him up on his offer. My friend and I went there tonight. The food and service was brilliant. We tried bisibelabath and bhel puri for the first time (delicious). Also had samosas, saag paneer and garlic naan. Everything was scrumptious, and I highly recommend the restaurant. Just remember, folks--they are closed on Tuesdays. read more

I was walking down the street feeling pretty hungry. I had in mind to go get a sandwich, but at the same time I wanted to try something different. When I walked by this restaurant, the smell got my attention. I walked inside and the waiter greeted me at the door And asked if I would like to go look at the buffet. So I walked in and looked at the buffet and it all looked and smelled fantastic. The food was great! The service was even better. We came across this place while on an underground tour. The owner was nice & friendly. They have only been open for a little over a month but we highly recommend this place. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The garlic naan was freshly made and delicious. Really good portion size too. The restaurant is nice sized, quiet, & peaceful. Had a wonderful dinner. Owner was very accommodating in assisting us to find the best "heat" for our palettes.. shrimp appetizer was so yummy I could have drunk the sauce! We visited Seattle in Sept. 2025. After having a disappointing experience at another restaurant we came to Biryani and Curry King. We ordered veg noodles and idly. Both the items tasted delicious and we were happy with the serving size as well. If we will visit Seattle again, we will definitely be visiting Biryani and Curry King. read more
