Tried it for the first time tonight. The service was great! Tiny spot, but very clean. The gentleman offered suggestions that were delicious. Biriyani is pretty good here. Place was clean. Best part was the service. The man who waited on everyone, took our orders too and he was also answering calls, and then calmly took orders from a rather loud, conceited older group of people who were treating him pretty poorly. I do really like Indian cuisine but maybe it does not agree with me. I had ordered the goat korma and garlic naan. It was really great, the goat meat was tender and the korma sauce was really nicely spiced and flavorful. The garlic naan was slightly bitter but was warm. Its seems like open seating, and the main guy at the counter comes up to you with an iPad to take your order. It is a waiter/service place. Parking: Its in a strip mall and plenty of parking available. Food: We ordered family style, the Biryani plates are very large, definitely made for two. For the appetizer we ordered the Chilli Chicken, which was really good, sauteed well and chicken tasted very juicy and tender. We then ordered two Special Chicken Biryani (Boned Chicken in the Biryani, some boneless pieces on top) and one Chicken Dum Biryani (Boned Chicken). Wednesday I just returned from Dubai where I had Chicken Tikka Masala for the first time. I found Biryani Express on Yelp and saw they had great reviews and it's near my house. I called soooo excited because I had no idea this place was even existed. I ordered the Tikka Masala and Garlic Butter Naan to go. By the time I got home, the food didn't stand a chance. Ordered to-go today, and everything is delicious! Samosas, dal makhani, saag paneer, and butter bread. The dal is just the right amount of spicy for my lightweight "hot" tolerance. The paneer is creamy and almost sweet in comparison. Bread is soft and a huge portion. Samosas have a nice crunchy crust with mashed potatoes and peas that are still firm enough to give that little pop when you bite them. Service was very good and the young man at the register even gave me instructions on how to use the spice I bought next door at the market. I ordered to go and food was not that great compared to Lasbela or Aga's but no choice coz thats the nearest one to me. There was no spoons or fork, no tissues, no salads as any regular indian restos as in they can't be bothered to put all the necessary things in my order! This maybe partly my fault, but I made a simple order of saag paneer and garlic naan. I looked at the label on the bag, but didnt root in the bag. Only to get to my home to find an odd watery red mess with paneer chunks. I called them to let them know of the mix up and I was told oh someone will call you back....no one has called back. I'm really disappointed. I've been eating here for years, but the last few times the quality has really gone down. Im stuck with cold naan and rice for dinner. For my first time here I just did take out. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and it was pretty good. The sauce itself was not as thick as I've had before at other places, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There was a very good amount of chicken and plenty of sauce. I DO wish they would have included more rice, however, because I ended up with more entree left and not enough rice. The restaurant is narrow but long and seems to have a decent amount of seating. I didn't have much interaction with the staff since I was just picking up my food, but they still seemed friendly enough. I noticed that it looked like they were setting up equipment for a buffet, and the person behind the counter mentioned that they are planning on setting up a buffet by the end of July. With that being said, I can't wait to come back and try the buffet so that I can sample the other dishes they have available. I'm glad there's finally some good Indian food in Pearland! read more

Didn't know the times when i walked in to find out I arrived during their lunch break...I believe its from 2pm-530pm, but i was still able to put in an order to be picked up later that day which was awesome since most places expect a day or two warning. I had ordered the chicken biryani and the gobi manchurian (spicy fried cauliflower)...both dishes were a hit, ppl even took more plates to go of those dishes. I was very skeptic because of the first pictures I'd seen by another person who has only 1 review saying they found a cockroach in their food. They had a large TV, so we got to watch the football game while eating. There was no volume on the tv or any abient music. A little low volume music would've been nice. The service was a little slow but very attentive. We ordered the butter chicken , chicken tikki masala, samosa chat, garlic naan. Everything was very good ! Just the right amount of spicy. The butter chicken was absolutely creamy and delicious. The garlic naan smelled and tasted nice and garlicky. We also ordered a mango smoothie drink and indian tea. The mango drink was fresh and the Indian tea had an awesome sweet aroma, genuine tea from India. Everyone in my party loved the food and this will be our go to spot for Indian food. For sure it's good! It is UNFORTUNATE that one of the YELP reviewers below found a bug (I would not like it if I had seen it, may be it happened after they cooked). My friends and I have been regular customers and we NEVER HAD SUCH ISSUES so far. I am a vegetarian and I love most of their food. Most of my friends who order in or take out like their meat options. I hope Yelp had 3-1/2 star rating option. Pros: 1. Some items are delicious (love their Biriyani !) and most of them are pretty good. 2. The waiters/cashier are pretty friendly and helpful. 3. It's a BYOB - Bring your own Beer/Wine place with free Wifi. Cons: 1. Decor is nothing great, I hope it would been above average for a nice community like W. Pearland. 2. Service can be faster and efficient. 3. Sometimes they are so busy that they won't pick up the phone the first time. I have just shown up during their stated business hours and they are open. 4. I feel they are a dollar to two on the higher side on dishes (pricey for the current service level and decor). In my opinion, they are probably figuring it out still as they are new.
