Drinks: my gf had an old fashioned, my friend and I got the petal punch and a fourth friend got a European beer I think and we all enjoyed our drinks. My friend and I agreed that the petal punch was the best cocktail we had both ever had. The lychee and mint is just PERF! Food: we tried as much as we could. The momos was yummy and came with a great sauce. The tandoori chicken drumsticks with the sauce, YUM. I knew it was going to be great. The veggie samosas were also wonderful. The mint chutney is my preference over the tamarind, but both were good. Chicken mungfali- 10/10 but wish it were a little spicier. Chicken korma- spicier than I thought but delicious 10/10. The Nutella samosas were the only thing that was disappointing. They were way crunchier than we expected. The picture of them made it look softer and flakier than it was. My favorite dessert is kheer and it contains small bits of pistachios. Also return for their fluffy triangular bread which reminds me a little of a sopapilla. We tried the Gobi Manchurian app, mixed grill kabob platter (chicken, lamb, shrimp, and shish kabob), butter chicken, and jalapeno/cheese naan. The food was authentic and definitely spicy. The kebobs were were tender, cooked perfectly and had a nice amount of seasoning. I especially liked the grilled lamb and tandoori chicken. My husband is often in the area for work and gets takeout from here. Since I was tagging along on a recent trip we decided to have a sit down dinner here. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered their "Feast for Two" which came with a plate of mixed pakora, 2 different curries, saag paneer, a platter of grilled/tandoori meats, rice, bread and some sweets. In addition we ordered kulfi and thandai. Overall, the food was excellent but I would say the pakora was the weak link. I would order a la carte next time. Just wow. We came here with two small children, a tween, and two adults. Everybody found something they loved and the food was all fresh and delicious. On our several visits to the buffet, there was always 1-2 employees checking the food and making sure the temperature and quality were good. The quality control of this buffet is the best I have ever seen and it was obvious all the food was fresh. There are so many vegetarian options, we were pleasantly surprised and they were all tasty. The service was outstanding. Our server was patient and kind, which can be rare when you have little kids. He checked in on us frequently and made sure to remove used plates as we finished with them. The atmosphere is nice. Not fine dining but I questioned for a moment when I walked in the door with my kids if they were well enough behaved for the establishment. They were good! If your dine-in service ends at 10:15 or 10:30 p.m., please update your business hours or clearly state your last seating time. Customers shouldn't have to guess when they'll actually be served. We went to dinner here for NYE and everything was wonderful. We were a party of 10 and I know sometimes with a big party it can affect the service but not here. Everything was delivered together, no one was left waiting 10 minutes while they made their dish which I have experienced before. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of everything and answered all of our questions. I had a vegetarian dish I think it was vegetarian delight, a sampler with soo much food. Was not expecting this place to be as upscale as it was, from the outside it did not appear that way. We showed up a bit underdressed because of it. I'm not saying you have to be dressed incredibly fancy though. Just something neat and put together. It did take a while for food to come out. However, we did order the feast for two so it was quite a bit of food. And the manager for the restaurant came to our table and kept us updated and apologized for any of the wait. Something strange did happen while we were there. It's not really the restaurant fault, but during our time there a woman came in with mild erratic behavior. She wasn't disruptive to anybody specifically which is why I believe the restaurant didn't do as much as I would've expected. The food was flavorful and the presentation was lovely, as well of the presentation of the drinks made by a legitimate mixologist named Benji. After a decade of interacting with bartenders, this was the first time a true mixologist crafted my drinks. The food, drinks, and service was extraordinary. In addition to the exceptional service provided by Benji, Kara was a very pleasant, helpful bartender/ server. And regarding clealiness-- spotless. Even in the restroom I saw an employee washing her hands like she was creating a HOW TO video on proper hand washing. I was so impressed and grateful for my experience at Noon Mirch. My husband and I just visited Noon Mirch for a second time to try their buffet. We got there 20 minutes before it closed, but we were still given the opportunity to try it. One of the cleanest buffets I have ever been to and beautiful! Those beautiful chafings had inside the most delicious food! We tried almost everything! They have a salad bar, followed by fried snack bites like Medu Vada (this is spectacular) veggie pakora, they have 2 options of soup, both delicious! A wide variety of vegetarian dishes like saag paneer, soy based meats, and different chicken dishes, my favorite was the cilantro chicken, the lentil soup and the Chana Masala omg, I could eat this Chana Masala for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I really like Noon Mirch. I've never had a bad experience here. During my most recent visit, I dined in and was able to enjoy the weekend buffet that is available 11am-3pm. I really liked it and it was very much so worth the money, only $20. You get to try a little bit of everything. Plenty of meat and veg options. I loved the pistachio dessert. I also liked that they had plenty of cocktails and a few mocktails to choose from. My friend and I both had a mocktail. The presentation of the drink was beautiful. My only complaint is that some of the foods I tried from the buffet were cold. That is my only reason for giving 4 stars. But otherwise, food was great and service was good. read more

Was driving down the street to another restaurant and saw this place and turned in. I love Indian food so this was perfect. Was impressed by the place. It is nice inside and great atmosphere. They have a descent bar with lots of options. We had to get a special appetizer and then got the feast for two. Talk about a lot of food. But it was worth it to have a little of a lot of things. Long before Noon Mirch ruled the South Houston (#1) Indian food scene, it was affectionately known as Cuisine of India. They've clearly as popular as ever as they've maintained one of the most reviewed and highest rated establishments in the area. (#2) Unlike it's previous divier incarnation, the newer location boasts a spacious interior with super modern and contemporary vibes. There is a full fledged bar, partitioned dining, and bright decor throughout the place. The bathrooms are clean and the layout is ideal for all group sizes. Prices are going to be higher than the average Indian spot but the food is solid. To get a sense of their variety, I recommend their weekend only (Friday-Sunday) buffet, which showcases some of what they do best. It's priced at $19.89 to honor the year they opened. For starters, they offer rasmalai one of my favorite desserts. When was the last time any Indian lunch buffet in the Houston area featured rasmalai on a consistent basis? (#3) Combined with the burfi, the usual kheer, and the syrupy galub jamun, they have a more robust sweets lineup than any other buffet I've seen locally. The hot foods lineup has been really good. I've enjoyed the dum biriyani, karahi chicken, lamb seekh kebab, chicken chapli kebab, and mutton biriyani. I'm still on the fence with their butter chicken, cilantro chicken, and dry-ish tandoori drumettes. Their vegetarian offerings are impressive as well. I've loved their creamy saag paneer, hearty veggie samosas, filling dosas, and their chaat papdi. There are some unconventional choices that make them a little different: Jackfruit masala? Vegetarian momo manchurian? Nutella samosa? I'm all for unconventional. Parking is in a lot but it can feel limited when they're super packed. I have a feeling the majority of the wait staff is unfamiliar with a desi language, Things got awkward when our server gave us a blank stare after asking if they served navratan korma or lamb rogan josh, which are fairly common dishes. That being said, they're still attentive and very friendly, which is always a plus. Whether it's their signature cocktails, banquet catering, weekend buffet hour, or just a nice group date on a school night, Noon Mirch is certainly worth checking out for all fans of the cuisine. ________ (#1) Ok. This is a very pretty and elegant restaurant with a nice vibe. Service was excellent. They were so patient with us and made suggestions based on our likes. My husband had the sampler for one and I had butter chicken, which is not on the menu. The sampler was very good and could've easily been shared. The butter chicken was also very good. I think I prefer the masala chicken that was on his sampler. The only thing I saw that needed attention was one of the booths had a tear in the seat. First off the service is phenomenal; the servers go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. They are attentive and will not forget about you. Each time I've visited this restaurant, the servers have always asked, "how was the food?", "do you want any more drink?", how do you like the drink?" If you aren't satisfied with it, "do you want me to get you anything else?" The ambiance is chill but elegant. It isn't much like their previous restaurant where it was just an ordinary place with outdated chairs and tables. This newer restaurant is upscale modern, clean, and sleek, with plentiful seating, nice comfortable chairs, and large tables. It can get very packed around the weekend hour at lunchtime. The buffet is $19.89 which is significant from the previous restaurant pricing of $10.95. That being said, the previous restaurant seemingly had better cooks because this newer restaurant, Noon Mirch buffet food is mediocre. The mixed vegetables were fresh as they just brought them from the kitchen, but the potatoes were overly salty. The cauliflower was overcooked as it was falling apart as I drove my fork into it. The rice with peas was delicious, but I wished the rice was much more fluffier with more spices. All the curries were delicious. Okay, this time they had vegetable samosas on the line, but they weren't seasoned. They were bland. The fluffy fry bread was good though. There seem to be inconsistencies with the flavors; 3 months after I came here the food appears to be worse. With the buffet at the steep price of $20 per person, they need to bring their A+ with Indian flavors. Y'all need to bring back the cooks from Cuisine of India and if it's the same cooks, then they need to keep up the same pace. They let you spice your food on a 1-5 level, I started at a 3 just to see how spicy they were--three was perfect, I probably could've bumped it up to a 4--but it was fabulous. We have been here twice in the last week, once for dinner and once for the buffet. The service for dinner was a little off, many tables were not cleared for at least 20 minutes (perhaps it was shift change). We ended up coming here based on recommendations from multiple friends. We were told that under normal circumstances they have a buffet. However, even though things are beginning to open back up in Texas, they have not yet reopened their buffet service. Typically, I do not go to restaurants that serve food in that fashion anyway but all of my friends that have been to this restaurant have raved about it. With that being said, we ordered off the menu. The Indian cuisine that they serve is absolutely fantastic. The flavors of their meat and vegetarian dishes are unbelievable. You can also order spicier foods if you wish. I think the spice levels at Noon & Mirch are lower ranked than Thai restaurants so next time, we may step it up one digit. The wait staff is friendly and prompt. Vijay, the owner, stopped by the table on at least one occasion to make sure everything was going well. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy with a double rice this past Thursday night. Very rich, really delicious, really aromatic with a bold curry base and deep tomato zing. The gravy was so addictive and flavorful with a lot of tender chicken pieces in it. The rice was also very moist, fresh and mild but tasty. It paired wonderfully with the excellent curry I selected. One of the best Indian restaurants in the Houston region imo. I still need to try their gulab jamun and mango mousse / lassi in the future since those are my favorite Indian sweets. read more

Stopped in to check out the lunch buffet. 2.5 edging down to 2. The restaurant has a clean modern feel that's closer to top end that bottom. staff were efficient and friendly. The buffet offers over 20 dishes to choose from. I sampled almost everything they had to offer and can say in general is was ok at best. Nothing wowed me and many of the dishes were just not good. Probably the best Item was the tandoori chicken. It was nicely flavored and not dry. I found that the chicken in the butter chicken was extremely dry, even while is was swimming in the curry sauce. The flavor of the sauce was fine. The fish curry lacked flavor. the Spinach, "saag". was a good flavor, but the spinach was ground so fine is was more like a chutney. The Cilantro chicken was also dry. The mixed vegetable pakora was 95% batter. Gulab Jamun was above average. I would say if you are in the area and wanted Indian buffet its not that bad of an option, however I would not drive out of my way to get it. There are so many better places in Houston. In the end I was just not impressed with the food enough to recommend Noon and Mirch for any other meal other than the buffet. I recently dined in at Noon Mirch. Previously I had only ordered carry out. The place is clean and nice inside. The cilantro chicken, bhindi masala and veggie samosas are delicious. Their peanut butter cup martini is also pretty good. I loved the peanut butter cup garnish. It was the perfect touch. I tried their buffet, which is how I learned of their wonderful cilantro chicken. While at the buffet and I kid you not there was another diner who was completely ignoring the tongs and grabbing naan and food with his bare hands. He was tasting things as he was putting food on his plate. I could not believe it and wish I had taken pics of him and told someone but I was so taken aback by what I saw. It was disgusting. Disgusting diner aside, the service was great. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and by everyone who saw us as they walked by. When we got to our table, our waiter was also friendly and helpful, he provided good recommendations and was swift in tending to our needs throughout our meal. I also noticed they have a great event space for corporate events and general gatherings that can easily be blocked off for privacy. I would return for the cilantro chicken, samosas, bhindi Marsala and possibly the peanut butter cup martini but I'm not the biggest fan of the rest of their menu based on the many other things I tried on the buffet. Tried this place out with the wife and family. I've seen it on Clear Lake Yelp lists and wanted to give it a shot. It is located off NASA Rd Parkway inside a tight strip center. The inside is pretty nice - high ceiling, cool light fixtures, spacious, a bar area and very clean - given that the exterior makes you think it'll will have a small interior. We ordered a couple of starters: the Chaat Papdi (semolina cracker, potato, garbanzo, sev, yogurt, tamarind & mint chutney) and the Gobi Manchurian (lightly battered cauliflower tossed in spicy tomato sauce). Both were DELICIOUS- plenty of flavor, fresh and the Gobi had a little kick to it. For entrees, I ordered the Biryani with chicken and medium heat (a "2 out of 5" on the heat scale, per the waitress) - a huge portion of rice mixed with spices and chicken. It was amazing; the heat was definitely there, so I'd recommend no more than a "2" if you don't like spice... they don't play around. My wife and fam got the chicken marsala ("0" heat), the Vegetarian Delight and the Mulligatawny soup ("0" heat) and everyone happily enjoyed theirs, as well. Service started out great (good recommendations, attentive), but by the end our waitress seemed to disappear and we ended up staying past closing time waiting for a drink refill, to-go boxes and the check. Overall, a solid experience and another place I am happy to add to my Clear Lake list. This place has been here a while, but I wished I would have tried it sooner.
