Pancake was dry, Hash was super salty, too heavy with all the different meats and the 7 different ingredients, in addition to the extra 3 tablespoons of oil under the Hash didn't help much.‍ Have ya heard the sayin' "less is more"???? The only reason it's a 4 star is the waitress I think was having a rough night and didn't have a great attitude. If your goal is to support a responsible local business and enjoy good food then move along, there is nothing for you here. Because this owner, also of Original Sunrise Cafe, seems metaphorically standing with his middle finger raised to issues of public health by ignoring Central District Health rules for masks as pandemic mitigation measure and staff do not wear them and distanced seating is ignored. Beyond that, the production kitchen turns out huge portions of mediocre food so there's that even if you decide to take out. Unless, of course, your food consumption goal is quantity and not quality. I have been sharing on Yelp for going on a baker's dozen in years and in that time I have taken the time to post precious few 1 star opinions, only 31 of 1328 to date, because it takes time to do it and I'd rather spend mine focusing on good places for people to know about. I was really excited to go here for the first time, as it is right down the street from our new home. When we arrived, I was pleased to see it was busy and they were doing well. However, we ended up leaving because not one single employee was wearing a mask. We are in the worst part of this pandemic and I think it's completely socially irresponsible and unethical. Despite what you might think about the masks, as a hospitality company, it's your responsibility to make sure your patrons feel safe. I will never be going back. I was so excited to eat there and very disappointed after ordering chicken and waffle. My family and I ordered it once in Novato CA and it was just about the most delicious brunch meal I ever had. So, admittedly there was a very high bar set. Biscuit & Hogs came nowhere near that. The waffle was good, soft and fluffy. Not really crispy on outside. The chicken was the worst. I tried a few bites and pushed it aside. First, it was not a pump perfectly fried chicken breast. Rather it was a processed piece of formed chicken thigh meat. It tasted terrible and ruined the whole chicken and waffle experience. I do not recommend this dish at all. On the good side, our service was very good. When waitress asked how we liked our meals, I was honest. While some places will comp a bad meal, B&H took 20% off two meals (about $6). I also ordered a S'Mores coffee. OMG! I have been here twice and both times the food is excellent! We'll get to that a little later. Now if you are wanting to eat here, make sure you come as early as possible or else you can get up to hour and a half wait for dining. It's still worth the wait but just be forewarned. Both times the waitresses and bartenders have all been great. The hostess is friendly and always has a smile. The place is a little bouchée with the gold spoons, Ford, and knives but overall very clean. I love the menu, it nice and simple, easy to find the great dishes they offer. My favorite so far is the The Hogg. I love the bacon here, my wife says it's too sweet but I think it's just right. Be careful for what you order because the portions are huge for the price. Their Mac and cheese great! The brisket will sell out quick if your not here early enough. Food may take a while but I really enjoy the atmosphere that this restaurant brings. We had shots and IPAs even though the selections for beer wasn't very many, the beers were still awesome for what they had on tap. Ok let's do this. Tried this on a whim as I had no desire to cook dinner. The GOOD- Pancakes were the size of a M/L pizza. Our order was to go and they were literally in a large pizza cardboard box! Not a joke! They were freaking HUUUUGE and these were off the piglet menu for kids! The best part is that they were super fluffy and delish. Burgers were AMAZING! Huge patties, not precut, cooked to medium. They were monsters! Tomato soup was really yummy. Mac and Cheese was its perfect creamy comforting self. The BAD- remember those burgers I was telling you about? While they were amazing they weren't what we ordered. Not even close. Should have checked the bag before we left. We ordered a turkey club and a brisket sandwich. Ordered at six o'clock with a 6:44 pick up time. Hubs showed up to pick it up at 6:45 and sat there until 7:25 when he finally got the food. Prices were a little high, but the amount of food we got was insane so I can dig it. We will try again after they've been in business a while and work the kinks out. read more

I ordered delivery. I'm in a hotel. During COVID. When I went upstairs and opened the food, a salad and a breakfast burrito with potatoes. There were NO NAPKINS OR UTENSILS. There are none available here. I ate a couple of potato slices with my fingers=meh. Nothing special. The burrito was so soggy, it fell apart and far to messy to eat with my hands especially with no napkins. The food is just sitting here. I'll be requesting a refund through the delivery service and if they don't refund I will go through my bank. After driving 2600 miles to Boise from Florida we chose Biscuit & Hogs in Meridian (20 min drive for us) to begin our first day exploring Boise. We are so happy we did. We spoke to the friendly hostess, then decided to sit at the bar (always my preference) The wait time was 20 minutes, always a good sign that guests want to wait) We were promptly greeted by the beautiful, friendly bartender, Kendra. We advised her that we were not in any hurry....as I was too busy gazing around at this unique cafe. As the bar seating filled up, we ordered drinks (see photos) then greeted by another staff member asking if we had questions as he introduced us to the Chambong! Such an interesting concept for $2! Of course we HAD to try it! So fun & inventive! A must try, btw. Our food arrived...wow! Hot & Huge portions! (We were warned by the handsome gentlemen behind the bar) We watched as he helped out the well as tickets were rolling in, the flow of the restaurant staff was easy going & on point! I mean, seating at the bar is great for people watching lol I noticed many to go orders ready for pickup (also a great sign) To go boxes were requested and also another round of Chambongs to end our brunch. Come to find out , the gentleman behind the bar, helping out on well and talking with the staff was the owner, Boomer. Pleasantly surprised and excited to find out he opened this cafe 4 months ago! During covid! Impressed I had to tell him Congratulations! Ps. Btw this is the longest review I've ever written. Having worked in every single position in the restaurant business from prep to Manager....I'm very appreciative (and more critical) than most and always vocal , extending appreciation as much as possible. If you've had any previous hiccups in the past 4 months (as all newly opened establishments have) I urge you to give them another try. 10/10 and I will be back often as I'm here only for the month of October. Family was visiting from out of town and heard so many good things about this place! Wait time wasn't bad for our large party. But after sitting down we waited well over an hour for our food that turned out to be cold, we had to scour for our own silverware because it was never brought to us, had to go to the hostess to ask for a refill on water. Our waiter stopped by our table a total of three times. The portion sizes were nice but the price for cold food was too high.
