If you have had a bad experience at Coyne's, then I'm truly sorry; because I had such an amazing experience! The design was very bougie and felt so fancy. My friend and I had such an attentive wait staff and answered any questions we had before ordering. Our drinks were absolutely delicious and there were so many great options. Usually it's hard to find a drink I might like, but at Coyne's it was hard because there were too many good options. Everything on the menu sounded so creative and new. But I decided to try the spasta pesto and my friend tried the halibut. Both tasted so fresh and flavorful. Also the prices were very reasonable and the portions contained the perfect amount of food. Unfortunately, our bellies were so full after our main course that we didn't get try any of their amazing dessert options. Overall, I definitely enjoyed my time at Coyne's and will definitely be back to try more items. If your thinking our trying it out I would definitely recommend! read more

Absolutely delicious. We were in town for a wedding and we were looking for a quick bite while we waited for our room. Just as luck would have it in a good way, it was happy hours!!! Yes hours! The menu is so eclectic from medi, Mexican to American dishes sprinkled across the menu. We enjoyed the brisket tacos, chicken flautas and the Guacamole. All were absolutely delicious. We had the best waiter as well I think his name was James. It was pretty busy but we were seated within a few minutes and everyone was enjoying their food. Great date night with happy hour and a meal. Our drinks were cold and delicious and we had the curry lettuce wraps and fries. Both were fresh and the fries had the right amount of crunch. We had the shrimp pasta dish and the sauce was very different but tasty. Fresh pea pods topped the dish. We ended the night with decadent huckaberry cheesecake. So creamy and topped with fresh fruit. Surprisingly slow Monday night but happy for it becuase this place is often times hard to get into. Fast, attentive service. I appreciate hate table-side payment systems. Lively dining room, bar, and outdoor patio. Good selection of cocktails and beer. Ordered the flautas as an appetizer (not pictured as our hunger won over the camera). Light, fried tortilla full of chicken with a tasty cheese dipping sauce. Yummy. Peruvian chicken was good, especially their green sauce. Good size portions of their potatoes and veggies. Chicken sandwich was excellent. A bit spicy at first (I was warned by the waiter) but it settled down. Great bun, fry on the chicken, and flavors. Great experience with Coynes! I had been once before and it wasn't really a memorable time. But we came back again, with a party of 10, and I was impressed! They were quick to serve, our waiter was attentive and kept our glasses full. There was one order that came out wrong and he was quick to apologize and correct it. We celebrated a birthday, and he noticed the gifts and brought dessert with dinnerware to share with everyone. Everyone got something a little different and all looked delicious. I ordered the steak bowl and was not disappointed one bit. Hearty portions, great flavor, perfectly cooked, and had a nice variety of fresh ingredients used. We hit up Coyne's for my sister's and cousin's birthday tonight. They were the only ones that can cater 18 people on a Sunday. That sounds perfect to me! The last time I was at Coyne's, the food and service was great. My husband and I showed up a little late. We had to finish our Niners game! Our party was sat towards the back. I appreciate that they had a nice amount of tables set up for us! Nothing like being crammed with a big group. We had plenty of space and arm room. Fresh rolls were placed on each end of the table for us! Of course they were being devoured. The rolls were crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. And watch out Texas Roadhouse, the butter here was mind blowing! It was sweet and creamy. The bread was the perfect vessel for that butter! All I want is that butter with 1 roll please! After we all got settled, orders were taken. All I wanted was the gumbo cause it was so good the last time I had it! My husband wanted the fish and chips for dinner. I also snagged a side of sweet potato fries. I'm a sucker for sweet potatoes! Food came out in spurts. It's to be expected with such a large group. My gumbo game out in a huge bowl. My husband's fish and chips looked killer! I was kinda jealous I didn't order the same thing as him. My side of fries came out shortly after everything a dropped off. My gumbo was delicious! It was savory and rich. There was a slight heat that added a nice kick. My waffle fries were crispy and tasty! I love love love the sweetness of the sweet potato and the saltiness of the fry sauce, so good! The fry sauce did have a punch to it, I like it! Now, the fish and chips! It looked killer on my husband's plate but tasting it..... wow! The batter they used on the fish was light and airy. The fish was thick and fresh. The batter was fried perfectly and had a perfect crunch. You add lemon juice and the tarter sauce, out of this world. I made my husband share and he was only willing to share two small bites. I don't blame him, it was fantastic! Our friend ordered the churro waffle for dessert. Can we give the chef who created this masterpiece a good medal? This creation was one of the best desserts I have ever had! It's crispy, sweet, chocolatey, warm. And you get a huge scoop of ice cream on top of this heavenly dessert. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You must get this dessert if you come here! I'm so happy we got to celebrate my family's birthday here. The food was great! Dessert was killer! My family found Coynes a couple years ago and we've been going consistently ever since. It's the sister restaurant to Bardenay, and I'd argue Coynes feels like the elevated version. Service has always been very good. The bar turns out unique, well-crafted drinks, and the wine list is solid. The space is comfortable inside, and the patio is a big plus -- fully covered, enclosed, and heated in winter so you can use it year-round. The food is where Coynes really shines. The kitchen is consistent, and the menu shifts just enough over time to keep things fresh with new and interesting options. Tried this restaurant for the first time while visiting the Eagle area and really enjoyed everything we had! My wife ordered the Chilean seabass with pesto--absolutely delicious. I went with the ribeye served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The steak was cooked a bit more than I asked for, but still flavorful and satisfying. Service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is clean and modern. I had hoped to try the chicken gumbo appetizer, but the kitchen was out that evening. Husband's garlic tenderloin didn't have the garlic flavor he expected. My pesto sandwich was tasty, but upgraded Caesar salad had very stale croutons (matching the rock hard rolls). Our meal picked up a bit with huckleberry cheesecake, though crust was soggy. Coyne's has been on my must try list for quite a while. Finally for my daughter's graduation, we decided to book a reservation for a small dinner party. We had high hopes and generally were happy with the visit. The ambience was perfect. It's definitely a little fancier, but still casual enough for regular dining. Making a reservation was very easy to do online, but because our party was bigger than six I needed to call in this reservation. That was also a very easy process. I really like that they confirm the reservation via text. Upon arrival we were seated immediately although we were about 10 minutes early. Our table for seven just had a chair added to the end of a six person table. It would've been nicer to have an eight person table then to squeeze the seventh person on the end, but we made it work. Now onto the food...We ordered -the sea bass - I did not try it, but it got high reviews from my father-in-law -fish and chips - my son liked it, but left all the fries -Wagyu taco salad - this was my order and it was blah... The salad and dressing was nothing to rave about and the Wagyu beef was the best thing about it. -scallops and a side of mashed potatoes - the scallops were fabulous and the corn cakes that they sat upon were yummy but the mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. - chicken dinner - the chicken was cooked to perfection but the sides were just blah. - pesto chicken sandwich - not much to it, my 12-year-old didn't even eat ate half and tried to give away the rest. It was pretty bland. -falafel sandwich- this was pretty good and the sauce that they served it with it was tasty. Overall, we were happy with the celebratory meal as the consensus of the group was that the food was good. As the main decider of where I will take guests for dining, I don't know if I would be back. It seems like the fish meals were the best out of everything we ordered. This may be a place I would go for a date night or a girls lunch, but not a celebratory meal. read more

2nd time visiting..menu is great Excellent variety of adult beverages service both times was fantastic..one negative, both times I ordered a burger..1st time ordered it medium well..it was well done all gray ..ok 2nd time ordered it medium ..yep it was well done again....so maybe they should advise folks..that you can have your burger cooked anyway you like as long as it's well done ...the burgers were tasty enough and experience/service was great. I'm not one of those customers that is going to complain about 1st world problems while there. I went for Easter brunch with my kids and my in-laws. When I tried to order a nonalcoholic wine, I was asked for my ID. I didn't have it with me, so I wasn't able to get one. I understand policies need to be followed, so I wasn't upset, but I was surprised that no one else at the table was carded, even though others were ordering alcoholic drinks. For context, I'm 37, so it just felt a bit inconsistent. Unfortunately, the service overall didn't improve from there. Our food took over an hour to arrive, and by that point my 4 year old was starving. I felt terrible, but there wasn't much we could do except wait. The food itself was decent, but there were a few letdowns. My husband ordered a breakfast chimichanga and was told it would be large, but it ended up being a pretty standard burrito size. On top of everything, our server didn't acknowledge or apologize for the long wait, which added to the frustration. Overall, it wasn't the experience we were hoping for, especially for a holiday brunch. read more

Great food and amazing service! Food: 5/5. We started with the guacamole, which was great and came with some potato wedges. It was a fun twist on chips and guac and seemed to fit the theme of the restaurant well. My husband got the mole braised short ribs which was absolutely phenomenal! I'm not usually a fish person, but I ordered the pesto sea bass after seeing photos and reading some reviews. I was not disappointed! It was melt-in-your-mouth good and I was delighted to have leftovers for lunch the next day. We took the espresso torte to go, which did not really test espresso to me and is probably better eating in the restaurant. Service: 5/5. Ryan was our server and he was fantastic! Very attentive, friendly, and was sure to check in often, but not overwhelming. We also got our drinks and food relatively quick. Atmosphere: 5/5. Definitely a place you would expect to find in Eagle. I thought the atmosphere was great and a good vibe. A good amount of parking and a beautiful patio that I am sure is a hit in warmer weather. Due to the experience described below, I can only give Coynes one star. We've eaten here several times before this experience and have always had good food and mostly good service. The day before this experience, I dined at Coynes with my elderly Mother at 1 pm and we sat ourselves at a 4-top in the bar and had no problem ordering or getting food, but we had to hunt down the bartender to pay our bill in order to leave- and even after using the small hand held machine to pay with (which he left at the table) , he didn't return to provide a receipt which I needed for my Mother. I then had to hunt down someone else to get our receipt! However, our experience on this particular mid-July Friday afternoon was so negative that we have no desire to return. My husband and I planned to meet my brother and sister in law at Coynes for drinks and an appetizer but were refused an empty table in the bar that didn't have a "reserved" sign on it. We arrived at 3:25 pm, not 5:30 or 6 at the busiest time. First we were told by the hostess we could seat ourselves in the bar, but saw some reserved signs on some tables and none on others, so we returned to the hostess to ask where we could sit. She stated we could sit at any table that wasn't reserved, so we chose the only table without a reserved sign. Five minutes later, the same hostess approached our table and in the most punitive voice stated, "I thought I told you all the tables in the bar are reserved." My husband and I were shocked to have been spoken to this way. Obviously there was a huge miscommunication and it only got worse when the manager came to our table to supposedly explain the seating policy at the bar tables (he never explained) and to offer us approximately one hour at the table stating we'd have to leave after that because the table was "reserved" (without a reserved sign). We declined his offer and left, opting to meet my brother and sister in law at another nearby restaurant and bar in Eagle. This entire experience from start to finish was unprofessional, unclear and extremely rude. Others were looking on to see what the issue was, and we were made to feel like children who broke a rule and were being punished. This is no way for a restaurant to treat its patrons, especially when it's their fault the bar seating situation is unclear. We should've been allowed to remain at the table and in fact treated to a round of drinks. Instead we were offered a table on the patio in 95 degree heat which did not work for one of our guests with a medical condition. We later wrote a letter and mailed it to Coynes with no response. The letter described our experience. Eagle is a growing community with many new restaurants opening. Customers have choices when they dine out. If Coynes wants to remain relevant in the dining scene, they need to offer a much improved customer experience. read more

We stayed at a nearby hotel and did a take-out order from Coyne's. The food was good. My guess is it will be even better when we have the opportunity to eat at the restaurant. It looks like a great place. Inviting atmosphere and the bar looked like a fun place to grab a drink or even eat. So disappointed in the change in the menu. They removed their wonderful scallops with spaghetti squash noodles to a ho hum typical Mexican take. Blah Their pasta is doughy and barely edible. Ugg.
