Its been a few years since we have been to this establishment. But my husband and I popped in for an early lunch on a Wed afternoon. The place just opened and we had a lovely patio booth. We had a fantastic meal here! I ordered the flat iron steak salad, and my partner got the Cuz I'm a Cowboy Baby 1/2 # kobe burger. Both the steak and the burger meat were cooked to absolute perfection (a true medium rare). The lettuce and veggies in the salad were incredibly fresh and crisp, and it was tossed in a delicious, Greek-style dressing that complimented the dish perfectly. My husbands burger was topped with a cheesy fried tatertot and his onion rings were perfectly finished; the batter didnt slip off when taking a bite. I think the price was very fair for this filling luch. Our server, Sara, was wonderful--attentive, friendly, and great at her job. Highly recommend! read more

Came here with a big party of our family and loved the food! We all got burgers and they were amazing. My husband and I got the smash burger (without lettuce and tomato, which is how a smash burger should be!) and it was perfect. Waiter was so nice, but service was a little slow. Visited lat in the evening on Sat, Aug 29th, 2026. Never fails. Quick seating, excellent wait staff, wonderful cocktails and THE BEST FOOD IN THE TREASURE VALLEY. And...wonderful clientele. Great ambience. Fun place to meet friends or visit alone because without fail you'll make friends. It's that kind of place. Did I mention the food? We're always happy at 830C! Food is always delicious, service is quick and friendly, they had some great music going and it's a great atmosphere. This round we got the prickly pear marg, the trophy wife (10/10), and the smoky manhattans for drinks. All incredibly tasty, with the trophy wife being a crowd favorite. We got their corn dog bites that were perfectly battered and fried. The cowboy burger, fish and chips, and French dip sandwich. Across the board no complaints! Such tasty food every time. read more

Very comfortable gastropub in original downtown Meridian. Large dining area with various types of seating makes this a very accommodating location. With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life. read more

Location was clean and open. Kinda a sports vibe bar with the TVs. We got the steak fingers, which were okay. The pan seared salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus was good after a little salt and pepper. Service was great. No issues here at all. The location is in a very nice looking building and the decor is comfortable with a little hint of rustic. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. He recommended the Absolutely Delicious for the drink and it was just that. It's like a raspberry martini but better. It was very dangerous. My husband and I got the Brilliant French Dip. We did ours without horseradish sauce and added swiss cheese and he did fries while I did the onion rings. Everything was well made and very tasty. The only downside was the price but, honestly, everywhere is expensive now a days. Recommend and would like to check out their happy hour. read more

This had to be one of my most disappointing visits. We were 5 minutes early to our reservation, but seated immediately. We waited at our table for 18 minutes, watching several other tables be seated with immediate service, before our server appeared...but that was only after I stopped another server and asked if anyone was available. We ordered everything at this time since we had more than enough time to review the menu. We ordered the finger steaks to open. I ordered the Tres Amigo Tacos, hubby ordered the Flat Iron Steak, daughter had the Chicken Fried Chicken and my friend visiting Idaho for the first time (and I had spent so much time raving about 830 Common to her) ordered the Flat Iron Steak Salad. Finger steaks were quite good as they were tender and lightly breaded. The cocktail sauce was great to me, but everyone at the table was not a fan. Dinner took longer than usual to come out, but we assumed it was due to pacing since we ordered an appetizer. Food arrived and looked amazing. My hubby loved his medium flat iron steak, fingerling potatoes as everything was tender and juicy. Daughter raved about the chicken fried chicken, which I tried, and it was perfectly cooked with crispy batter and fork-tender fried chicken. My friend thought her steak was deliciously cooked to order, but the salad roasted garlic dressing was not her favorite. Also the "salad" was more a steak plate with a side of lettuce. Luckily the server switched out to blue cheese dressing and she was happy. The biggest and most outrageous disappointment was my dinner - I ordered one of each taco, the fish, carnitas and chicken verde. The fish taco was a shining star; crispy and flaky with a lovely cream sauce and fresh vegetables. However, the carnitas adobo taco was so dry, even after adding lime and even borrowing my friend's uneaten garlic dressing, that I could barely swallow the food. I was trying to take smaller bites so I wouldn't have to chew so long before swallowing, but the flavor and dryness just was too much so I gave up. I started with the chicken verde next, taking a bite with eager anticipation, only to be met with a flavorless bite of chicken sawdust. I literally had to chew a solid 5 minutes before I could swallow. I tried again, dousing the taco with lime and more dressing, took a smaller bite and it was horrible. I couldn't make it even 1/2 way through. It was my birthday dinner and I was so disappointed. I was genuinely concerned for other patrons, as I figured the carnitas and chicken were not prepared to order, so anyone else would have the same experience. I walked over to the host station and politely asked if I could talk to a manager to let them know. I was met with rolling eyes and asked, "Why? What's up?". No professionalism, concern or care. I politely explained that I had some concerns about my meal and would appreciate the opportunity to talk to the manager. The host went to my server and let them know I needed to talk to someone and my server uncomfortably came over. I asked for a manager and was told no manager was on duty and only a shift lead was available (concerning). I went on to explain that I could not finish my meal as both the carnitas and chicken tacos were inedible. My server was very understanding and explained that several customers had the same experience, then offered to remove the meal from my bill. I don't believe in this practice as the meal was prepared and I ate 1/3rd of it...not to mention, that was not the reason for the complaint. I am hesitant to return as a place that used to be great, should also be consistent. It was disappointing to be so excited to only have 1/2 of our party satisfied 100% with their meals. Not to mention, the host's flippant demeanor was unjustified. I would have given one star based on my meal alone, but my daughter and hubby genuinely loved their meals. It was also pretty distracting to see heavy clumps of dust spread across the top of the back booth seats, which stretched from end to end...made me question the cleanliness. They really need to bring back their fried Mac and cheese balls! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. The tots are incredible, best thing on the menu. My friends also liked the fried pickles, they are large slices instead of little disks and are crunchy. The ETC sauce is great, the chicken sandwich is average. I couldn't believe how good to kale Caesar was, the chicken a great add. Skip the Brussel sprouts, they have a ton of balsamic vinegar it is overwhelming. read more

Food was meh....we ordered appetizers as we like to share and wanted to eat a bit healthier. We ordered the Brussel sprouts which were cooked to death and over seasoned. The rib appetizer was also cooked to dry bones. The steak fritters were battered and deep fried? Why in the world would you do that to a perfectly good piece of meat? My guess is because it wasn't a good piece of meat. That also was overcooked and just weird. Definitely overpriced as the food was not good. Maybe they have something they are known for and we missed something? Either way, too many options out there to ever try again. It was a miss for us. The set up and ambiance was nice and they were very busy so people must like it. We sat at the bar and service was fine. read more

Atmosphere here is very nice. The server was very attentive and helpful, as well. I ordered the meatloaf, and was craving it, but when it arrived, it was smothered in a pasty gravy that really detracted from the meal. I scraped it off and used ketchup instead, and the meal was much better. I wish gravy was an option, served on the side, instead of completely covering the meatloaf. My colleague also complained about the gravy. read more

We were traveling back to Washington State and needed to find a place that might be able to accommodate my liquid diet restrictions due to upcoming surgery. And they did! They were freaking awesome and strained their fabulous tomato soup for me! It was so yummy and a had a pleasant kick too! Great atmosphere and staff! I even got some to go!! Would highly recommend. My husband and I have past this place numerous times and today on a beautiful Saturday we stopped in for the first time! We had the pleasure of having jasmine be our waitress she was AWESOME!!! Great atmosphere...it's always busy , location is in a great spot so cute in downtown Meridian . The food was amazing 10 outta 10 for my avocado, bacon Benedict and my husband decided on The French dip also delish!! We will definitely be back. Great space and vibe for a rainy, Sunday morning. Waitress was very nice and eclectic, in a good way. Chose a traditional morning cocktail (screwdriver) instead of the ever so popular and visually appealing bloody mary's. Of the three types of toast, the pesto strawberry was the tastiest. The eggs benedict was awesome. Served on a split muffin with maple bacon and a delicious sauce. The potatoes were killer. First boiled and then fried so the inside was soft but the outside crispy. Date night with my wife and luckily, there was seating at the bar. We got some drinks, had a delicious spinach and artichoke dip appetizer then ordered our entrees. As we sat at the bar, I watched one bartender work non stop for what seemed to be the entire time we were there. She made drink after drink without a complaint or break for that matter. Eventually, another server came back to help, but man, it was tough to watch. I know it's hard to get help right now, but why exhaust such a talented person? You don't want to lose her as well! Good took a little longer than I would have liked, and my wife's entree was over salted. My burger was great, fries were so so. Prices are up and we walked away at $150 for two people which included a healthy (and well deserved) tip. Hard to justify that kind of spend at a bar and grill. Happy hour is always great here, will come back for that, probably not dinner. Kudos to that bar staff, you are worthy of more! read more

This is our go to for brunch and lunch. We have been here half a dozen times at least and never disappointed. My husband and I have lunch dates here, we bring out of town guests and I've had girls brunch here too. My kids always love the little books with the menus. It's a nice touch. Then there are the house-made jellies. Who does that and how can I get more! The service was prompt and friendly with a great wait staff that made everything easy. I have had the pleasure of enjoying happy hour and lunch at this establishment, and both experiences were delightful! The service was prompt, and the food was delicious. However, I have unfortunately had multiple disappointing experiences with their brunch service. On several occasions, the food took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and when it did, it was either undercooked or of poor quality. I had given brunch another chance after a previous bad experience, but, sadly, I will not be returning for brunch in the future. Despite the issues with brunch, I still recommend this place for happy hour and lunch. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Went here for dinner last night... A customer smoking at the bar found it appropriate to smoke his marijuana weed pen causing entire bar area to smell like a Dirty Heads concert. At no time was he asked to leave by any employee or member of management. He also proceeded to flirt with the female bartender who, heavily, flirted back. Upon their exit he said goodbye to the male bartender because they appeared to be friends. Best part...he flipped the entire restaurant off while walking out of the front door. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Hopefully she is not like how she was with us to all of her customers. I'm a 20% tipper. For her, it was 18%. I wasn't given a choice, but I would have gone down to 15%.

No hard liquor, just wine & beer. We sat at the bar and had a great time conversing with the bartender. Exceptional kind service. I saw they had frutti di mare on their menu and mentioned that Coa's seafood restaurant served me a horrible one last I was there, but their manager reached out and won me back. But I've never ordered it since at Coa del Mar. He said theirs was quite good so I took a chance. It was EXCELLENT. The seafood and linguine were well cooked, the dish was flavorful, and the entire plate was served piping hot. I will be back! [See my Barbacoa review. They managed to disappoint me with their $72 Seafood Mixto in a variety of ways.] Moral to the story: Avoid anything seafood at Barbacoa and (ironically) Coa del Mar.

It's hard to find the exact things that give this place such a high rating. The coffee isn't bitter or sour. It's just right. The hash browns are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The sausage isn't sweet or too heavy on the sage. The eggs are cooked perfectly. The servers are first class. This place is just a winner in every category.

Food is always amazing, been coming here for years…read more Tonight was a solid disappointment with every employee avoiding eye contact to people at the bar, listening to one employee tell anyone who wanted (or not) to listen about her trip to Mexico and how she hated to come home. Every customer who had anything to say about the heat, this staff member decided to interject about a story she had about her recent trip to Mexico. The entire time doing drive-bys for people at the bar waiting for a drink, but at least she told people she went to Mexico! The food is solid and I want to like it, but it seems like the staff cares about the 3 returns that they know by name and couldn't care less about anyone else.

Why bother to ask how you want your burger cooked when you don't honor what I requested ? Sigh. Will I return? May be not.
