Tonight a group of 16 met for an early dinner and reserved the Merlo room well in advance. While the setting is beautiful, I will not recommend this room for a large group. The room absorbed no sound whatsoever, and I felt like I was at a concert trying to hold a conversation. Service was pretty good, although as someone who drinks a lot of water, there was no one refilling my water, I had to ask and I had to wait, but I get not being a priority when drinks will get them $12+ each. Dining as a group definitely creates a longer experience, from first drink orders, to apps, entrees and then the dreaded checks if you are splitting. Be prepared to wait a while. The food within our group was overwhelmingly so delicious! One guest ordered a ribeye med-well and it was served to him med-rare. Quite a difference. Food temps and doneness seems to be a continuing struggle for these cooks. Do they have a meat thermometer? Other than that, food was pretty amazing and had beautiful presentation. The women's restroom leaves a lot to be desired. Only 2 very generic stalls, 2 sinks when I feel the restaurant is a good size. As an upscale place, there was nowhere to primp make up or hair, no shelf, additional mirror or a place to set a purse. Do your business, wash your hands and get out was the feeling. Although I will not dismiss this very lovely restaurant, I don't think personally I will be back. I will have to lean on "there are so many other choices" excuse. read more

Ambiance was cool! The service was really nice as well. I don't recommend the NA aperol spritz. I tried it to revisit my Paris trip as a now-sober person, and it wasn't worth it. Do get the calamari! In fact, based on the price point and food quality and taste, I'd recommend this being a "get a bunch of apps to share" spot. The dishes we got were just fine. Nothing stood out for a burger or the salmon BLT, but perhaps the plethora of filet mignon options are better. 4/21/26- 4.5* walked in with our work attire on and even though it is a fancier restraunt, nobody seemed to mind. Our waiter was Robin and she was awesome! She was there for our drinks, waters, appetizers, and entrees with no wait and didn't miss a beat. She served all four of us on four different tickets with no confusion and it was very impressive! I'll speak on my order only as majority thought I had the best meal of the night. I got the surf n turf which was a 8 oz Waygu teriyaki top sirloin with 3 tempura prawns with coconut sauce and mashed potato. I asked for medium and it was perfect red center and the teriyaki sauce on top was perfect and all the guys agreed. The prawns are the same prawns as the appetizer just 3 with the plate, but the coconut sauce was great! Creamy and coconuty! Mashed potatoes were really good no complaints, soft and not buttery but still tasty. The guys I was with got the vanilla bean crembrule and the chocolate lava cake and there was nothing left so that tells you how good both were! Nice, steak and seafood restaurant. Food: 4/5. The drink options are great. I had the surf and turf, which was as expected. The coconut sauce for the shrimp is delicious! The meats tend to be a little less cooked than requested. The mashed potatoes were just ok. I really loved the Thai Noodle salad. Spicy and delicious! We got the cheesecake to go which was Oreo and it was pretty good for to go. Service: 5/5. Our server was really great. Friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. Environment: 4.5/5. This place is definitely worth checking out. We have been many times and every time the service and food has been excellent. Everything from burgers, surf & turf, steaks, drinks & appetizers are great. Our favorite thing to do is to share a few appetizers - the coconut prawns are super tasty; the coating is nice & the sauce is scrumptious! The crab cakes remind us of crab cakes we got in Alaska, good crab & awesome sauce. The beef wellingtons are so pretty, the inside is so flavorful and the pastry is fluffy and comforting. The service is excellent - they even indulge our request to stagger the appetizers to come out one at a time. The booths are super comfy & roomy. Love the fire sculpture out front. read more

Got to dine in today and Land Ocean didn't disappoint! It's a beautiful, modern restaurant, the bar is set in the middle with comfortable couch sections to sit around and some tables for different types of parties. Beautiful fire lamps around the restaurant, inside and outside. Our server Jaqueline was very attentive and helpful, she took great care of us. The food was excellent. The steak was delicious and tender and the burger was very flavorful. We had salads and clam chowder as well. The lava cake was delicious! My husband enjoyed his Pinot Noir. Non Local here! I come from Nevada and it's really difficult to find a place that has delicious food and great service combined! When you enter, you can see the entire dining room. I love the open concept. The decor is beautifully modern and has a warm aesthetic. The server we had was awesome! She enjoyed telling her stories and was friendly at doing so. Now theeee food. Well, I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. Which was made to perfection! It came with double baked mashed potatoes, asparagus and sautéed mushrooms. When I say this was so good, it was sooooo good. The mushrooms were amazing! I shared the mignon with my brother because it was close to 7-6oz. It was larger than most mignon and that is ok! We were in town celebrating a milestone birthday for my mom and Land Ocean turned out to be the perfect place for a special dinner, even on a very busy Friday night. Our server, Chris, was fantastic from the moment we sat down. He had our drinks out quickly. Appetizers arrived at just the right time, he perfectly paced our meal. We shared the calamari, crab cakes and poke tacos at our table. All of the apps were good. The crab cakes seemed to be everyone's favorite though. They were generously packed with crab and finished with a beautifully crisp exterior. Both the crab cakes and calamari had the same spicy aioli which everyone enjoyed. Since we were celebrating, I had the Land Ocean which consisted of a petite filet and lobster tail with bearnaise and asparagus. My mom had the same plate but with the twice baked potato. She raved about her meal. Seeing her enjoy her birthday meal made the night even more memorable. Chris surprised our table with a birthday dessert, a thoughtful touch. Starting with the ambiance when you walked in the door, to our server Robin who was spectacular; friendly, personable, and knowledgeable, we had an incredible experience! One of the specials was Swordfish and I've had the Chilean Sea Bass before and loved it, so it was a hard decision. Robin provided the details needed for me to decide on the Swordfish, which did not disappoint! The coconut rice with a very light mango sauce topped with a cucumber slaw elevated this swordfish in ways only a 5-star chef would know how to do. My husband had the Teriyaki Wagyu Sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. We completed our meal with a stellar dessert. We leaned on Robin once more as all the desserts sounded wonderful. I was expecting better especially since I had my bosses in town. While we didn't have a reservation for a Monday we were made to feel like we needed one. We sat in the back and a view of the entire restaurant and perhaps I was mistaken. Land & Ocean is an upscale seafood and steakhouse yet it didn't look like one. I'm not sure what it looked like. Very odd interior design choices. Our waterboy seemed to like he was fresh off a hit of wacky lettuce and server Gabe while pleasant seemed to be distracted. I was expecting more seafood and steak options but there seems to be more sandwiches and burgers on the menu If L&O is going state that they have a dedicated vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free menus and go through the motions to get it and then come back say "  we have the impossible patty "  that's not a dedicated vegan, vegetarian or gluten free menu but rather disingenuous. The seat mates burger was not made properly and cheese was left off of another dish. Which brings me to the blue cheese dip. It's not blue but green. I've have eaten blue cheese from France and from several well know companies here in the NW. I'm not sure what L@O did to the blue cheese but I do know they ruined it. The French bread appetizer is a joke. Here's a pro tip. Work with ACME or Gastons's bakery for real French bread. All in all. We have been coming here since they first opened and have never been disappointed. All of the food has been delicious and cooked perfectly. Their land and ocean was amazing. The steak is melt in your mouth tender, the chicken is cooked prefect with amazing seasonings, the cheesy bread.. so so good. I tried the beef wellington happy hour appetizer. The pastry was light and puffy, meat was tender and the sauces brought the dish together. Everyone has always been very polite and the decor is relaxing. They make very well balanced drinks. The interior was modern in nature, and despite being busy, the noise level was pretty low. My boss had been to the restaurant before and recommended the sea bass. It was macadamia crusted and served with broccolini over coconut jasmine rice and a soy-ginger glaze. We also split a bottle of cabernet. The wine list, while smaller, had good choices and a variety of price points. The highlight of our meal was our server Ashley. She was so friendly, sweet, helpful, and funny. Our group of six came here for Thanksgiving dinner. We had reservations at 5pm and the place was absolutely popping. Not sure if it's like this on a normal night or just because it was a holiday, but always a good idea to have a reservation when you can! Despite them offering a Thanksgiving meal, I decided to go with their namesake Land Ocean (which is a surf n turf of filet mignon and a lobster tail), as did a couple others in our group. Another ordered salmon, one the beef Wellington appetizer, and another the Thanksgiving day dinner. We all enjoyed our meals. Some of the most popular items amongst the group were the mushrooms, lobster, and baked potato mash that came with the land ocean meal. My steak was good, and mostly cooked to my liking, but I've had better steaks, so I think I would go with the fish next time Service was very friendly, it was scorching hot in the restaurant, and once we finally built up the courage to tell our server, she immediately requested that the heat get turned down and within minutes, we felt relief. The Thai salad was perfect. $2 hot dog bun size of bread was hard as a rock. Husband chipped his tooth on it and I ripped my gums bad. The artichokes was - I believe just remicrowaved and extremely dry and stringy. No way it could've been cooked and grilled in the short amount of time although the flavor was there, the "meat" was sorely lacking. Oysters were minuscule. What a beautiful restaurant!! Perfect for a date night, celebration, or just a fancy night out with family or friends. I love that they provide you pictures of the dishes, I ended up changing my mind, with our waitresses' help, and I'm glad I took her recommendation, the filet mignon was to die for! We couldn't have asked for better service, Taurie was an angel, so very sweet, helpful, and attentive (get that girl her meal on the house, LO!). Visited this restaurant celebrating an anniversary for my girlfriend and I, pictures online looked like it was a nice restaurant. Upon arriving we we noticed staff wearing very professional uniforms, wine glasses on each table, and a calm and fancy atmosphere. DJ was our server, he did an amazing job of answering questions about the menu as well as making fun conversation that assured us we were absolutely going to be taken care of. I had just returned home from a fishing trip on the coast and the calamari was so much better than anything I ate while on my trip. I typically don't eat steak at restaurants because I always leave feeling like I could've done better on my grill, the cowboy steak was by far the best steak I've ever had from a restaurant. So tender, perfectly medium rare, and the flavor was something I've yet to experience from any other establishment. In the absolute best way possible. My lady had the Land Ocean, and she had the same experience as well. I will 100% be recommending to any and everyone, we also will be back. DJ and Land Ocean made our night very special. read more

Ambiance is nice and restaurant is decorated nicely. Food came out looking very 5 star restaurant. Had the Smoked Salmon. Salmon cooked nicely but lacked seasoning and flavoring. Mine was a little dry, the cilantro rice had absolutely no taste, the mango slaw pairs nicely with the spicy aioli sauce. I was a little disappointed but it was ok. Hubby had Surf & Tuff. Thick steak, nice seasoning and crust on top. Supposed to come w/prawns but he got shrimp & coconut dipping sauce. Mashed potatoes were creamy and plenty of chives. Hubby enjoy his dinner. Finally! A restaurant that has it all! From the moment we walked the atmosphere had just the right amount of swanky swank that made us feel we've arrived somewhere special. The booth we were seated in was comfy and to the side of us was a sunken dining/bar area I liken to a Vegas night club with beautiful bar in the middle. Then we were greeted by a very pleasant server, Robin, so patient with our distractions. We finally settled in to allow her to decribe the special plate although we chose the Land Ocean dish. This was de-lish! The plate was complete with the 6 (or 8) oz steak- mine was cooked to perfection at a tender medium temperature, a modest portion of tender lobster, 2 gigantic apparagus sprigs, loaded mashed potatos contained in a perfectly portioned cup and draw butter and Béarnaise sauce in their own smaller cups. I was delighted that our server was so attentive refilling our beverages before we had to ask as well as removing glasses and plates we were done with keeping our table uncluttered and tidy. Stellar service, great atmosphere and low lighting, even when crowded you can still hear the friends around your table. The sea bass and Land Ocean are both incredible entrees to select. Steaks are perfectly cooked to whatever rarity you'd prefer. Freshwater lobster tails are decadent. For a starter, we loved the mini Wellingtons, which were served like petite puff pastries with the traditional tenderloin and duxelles filling. Mussels are served in a comforting broth with earthy tones. For dessert, they have a pâtissier who makes the cheesecakes from scratch, offering unique choices. This week, the New York style was offered. It was perfectly balanced and served with a lovely caramel sauce. The apple crisp featured large chunks of soft cooked apple with a crumble top possessing the perfect amount of cinnamon. The crème brûlée I rarely order out-- if you are a fan of traditional French desserts, please enjoy this custard, make the traditional way.
