The banana pudding was a complete miss for me. I honestly wouldn't consider it traditional banana pudding. The texture and taste just weren't there, and I would skip it altogether. Ironically, the most enjoyable part of the meal was the store-bought rolls with the honey for dipping. Fresh food is a great start, but Southern food is about flavor. Unfortunately, this meal just didn't deliver for me.

I visited in March when I was vacationing and visiting family in NC and SC. I grew up in Bennettsville in the 70's and 80's , not far from here. My family never went here , so this was my first time trying it. I was told by many people in the comments of my videos that it's not the same as it was years ago. I guess they don't put honey in the batter anymore , supposedly because some people may have allergies. I was also told you can ask for honey to put on yourself , but I wasn't told or offered honey for my chicken when I ordered it. I ordered a 2 piece white , with rice and gravy , mashed potatoes and gravy , roll , banana pudding , and a soda. I was happy they gave me 2 breasts instead of a breast and wing. The breast were kind of small , but with the rest of the meal it filled me up. The chicken was okay , not juicy but not dry either. I was disappointed the batter had no honey flavor , but as I said I didn't know that they no longer put it on the batter , you have to ask for a side of honey. After I was finished my meal , I passed a gentleman at his table putting honey on his so I was like dang it ! The rice and gravy was kind of bland and so was the mashed potatoes and gravy. I did add pepper to both. The roll was your standard pre-made roll not homemade. Banana Pudding was a huge disappointment. Southern banana pudding is supposed to shine , but this tasted like out the box bland pudding with some Nilla Waffers on top and No Bananas. The dining room was clean except the drink fill area could've used a wipe down. There are some old posters of Yogi Bear cartoons and a stuffed Yogi Bear near the front counter above the Boo Boo boxes. The old style menu is behind the counter with no electronics like back in the day and specials are posted on the wall. The iconic neon sign is out front with Yogi holding a chicken drumstick. Service was okay , not Southern Hospitality , but not rude either like I've read a few others have said. It was an experience of stepping back in time , but the food was disappointing. I hope it stays in business for years to come , but personally it was a one time deal for me.

Not swayed by the bad reviews, I wanted to try this place out. It sounded like burgers and shakes…read moremade like five guys. Not entirely true. The first thing I noticed was there were only like 5 massive round tables in the place. I assume they don't get a lot of dine-in customers, but I would expect that could be an issue when they do. I looked at the menu and ordered a small cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and a pineapple shake. I asked for the fries to be "like, extra extra extra crispy" because I hate limp fries everyone seems to be pushing these days. After I ordered, I noticed there was another menu off to the side with a way better deal for the same things I ordered. I would have liked for the guy working the register to automatically fix that for me. I ended up paying around $5 more because I'd never been there before and didn't pay attention. I saw they had Cheerwine and was pretty excited for that, as no one I know of in Ohio has it in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I gave up pop for lent, so I didn't have any. The burger was good and fresh, though tiny. The fries were not crispy enough, but the cook was nice enough to ask if they were fine and I didn't have the heart to tell him no. The shake was fantastic! I wish I could have drank it all, but I was so full from water and the food. These guys deserve a 3, but I gave them a 4 because the cook was super nice.

Wendy's - Double check your order because making food accurately and taking order is just too hard for these workers.

The workers openly vape in the restaurant (September 3 Wednesday 9:00pm 2024 *Exactly* if you'd like to check cameras) 3 out of the 5 items were in the bag when I received my order. When I called the manager seemed upset when I complained about my order. When I returned, she tried to hand me a meal that clearly had been sitting from the time I left, to the time it took me to come back (20mins) For the Manager. If your employee tell me to have a nice day after handing out a meal, I'd assume as a "respectable" restaurant my order would be complete. Your sad excuse "I told you to pull up, there must've been a communication error" there was no miss communication. You and your team failed, be the adult and say that. I'm not upset about the food at all, I understand drive throu can be hectic but you to lie in my face says a lot about you and you title claim to hold. Empty restaurant after 9
