I'm not a golfer, so this is for the restaurant. I've been here many times for breakfast and a few for lunch. While the food is not exactly Michelin star, I love the outdoor patio, sipping a mimosa and taking in the peaceful vibe and Mountain Views. Even in the winter, so long as the sun is out and not too windy, the patio can be really perfect. Beautiful course, great mountain views, smooth greens -- but my rating has nothing to do with the course itself. It's the treatment we received from the player assistant, Gary, that ruined our visit. After my very first tee shot on Hole 1, Gary immediately started warning us -- even though my second shot went 170 yards, and my 7-iron easily hits 140. My husband and I are beginner golfers, but we always keep pace. We were actually waiting on the slow group ahead of us the entire time. Despite that, Gary stopped our cart twice, questioned whether I had ever played golf, and insisted I move to the gold tees because he claimed I "only hit 120 yards." That number wasn't even accurate -- and he said it with force, as if it were a fact. Meanwhile, we were literally standing on the tee waiting for the group in front to clear. When I asked why he wasn't speaking to them, and whether this was discrimination -- especially since we're Asian -- he had no answer. Instead, he shut off our golf cart and drove away. I've never seen anything like that at any course in LA or Mammoth. The manager was polite and offered a free round, but the experience was already ruined. We drove five hours for this trip and ended up leaving after four holes. Great course, terrible treatment. If you're a beginner or Asian (or both), think twice before playing here during peak times. read more

Came here on Sunday before Labor Day with my family of 6. Had to seat ourselves since it looked like they were maybe short staffed. Was greeted by our waitress who wasn't too friendly to begin, seemed like she was in a bad mood. We ordered Bloody Mary's which were watered down and a hot chocolate that came out cold. Our waitress didn't come to our table again after she dropped the drinks off so I had to personally go inside to see if someone would heat up the hot chocolate. No one inside helped me after asking for help. The bartender who was super busy helped out after he saw I had been waiting for 10 minutes. We waited over 70 minutes for our food which we had to make a complaint about it taking forever. They took 2 of the Bloody Mary's off our bill for the wait which was a plus. Food eventually came out which was good. Overall experience 2/5. Not recommended. Would had been 1/5 if we weren't compensated with the free Bloody Mary's. Showed up at 10:45am to have breakfast. Was told it was witching hour and they are not serving breakfast as they are switching to lunch. There menu say breakfast till 11am. We ordered lunch and it sucked, wife's burger fell apart and my beef dip had gristle. Been going here more many years but will never go back. The last couple years all you hear is they are under staffed which is a management problem not a customer problem. read more

Showed up for breakfast at 10:40 and put in our order before 11:00. The people that got seated after us got their breakfast as well as those that ordered at the same time as us. At 11:25 we were told that the waitress forgot to put our order in and that breakfast is done being served. They comped us alcoholic drinks and even when we told them we don't drink and just want breakfast, the waitress told us the cooks are on lunch but we could order lunch. The restaurant has a reputation for serving one of the best breakfasts in the area, but lunch worked better for me.. I actually visited this restaurant last October, and am just getting around to posting on Yelp. As you enter the restaurant through the club house, you'll notice the full bar and the "sports - theme" decor, which seems appropriate, since the restaurant is located on the golf course. As you look out the windows, you'll be treated to a sweeping view of the golf course, and the clean, comfortable patio. I really wanted to dine on the patio, but the weather was just a little too chilly for me to be comfortable. I checked out the menu, and decided to keep things simple, and order the "Hamburger and Fries," as there isn't a burger of any variety in this world that I don't love. The burger arrived open-faced, and the only condiment is a little bit of mayonnaise, but since each table is well-stocked with condiments, it was easy to customize my burger. My "Hamburger and Fries" made an excellent lunch! The 1/3-pound beef patty was cooked perfectly to order - medium - and the lettuce, onion, and tomato were crisp and fresh. The bun was super-fresh, and the fries were perfectly cooked, and not oily or salty. Truly a great lunch! When she brought the tab, my server, Jen, commented, "Wasn't that good?" Yes, it was a great lunch! 19th Hole Bar and Grill definitely serves a great burger, in a comfortable dining room with a great view of the golf course. When you're in the mood for a great burger, or a great breakfast or lunch, make your way over to the 19th Hole Bar and Grill, located in Bishop, CA. The burger and fries were excellent, and I'd rate them an easy 4-stars, but my server seemed very distant, busy, and a little annoyed with my questions and my photos. So, with that in mind, I'd rate this restaurant a good 3-stars. I plan to return, for breakfast, and if my server is a bit more accommodating, I'll definitely increase the rating. This golf course is a gem! The golf course is kept very well and the scenery of surrounding mountains make it even better. It was like playing at an oasis. The staff are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. My husband was raving about the reasonable priced craft beers and the food was great! Also a round of 18 with a cart was so affordable. Coffee shop is no longer dog friendly. I get it, someone ruined it, but it's so hot and people travel with pets- disappointing.

We walked in and couldn't figure out if we were supposed to seat ourselves. There was no sign and no one greeted us, so we picked a booth and figured someone would tell us if we weren't supposed to sit there. We waited. We then decided to try to get a menu. We wandered up by the bar. No acknowledgement. Another table gave us their menu because they were done using theirs and saw us wondering. We waited. Went up to the bar to ask a guy about ordering and got an impatient "be right with you". The guy came to our table and apologized and offered free drinks. But the drink he brought was like 2 oz drink and 8 Oz ice. We got our food and were invaded by a group of grown men who acted like they were in high school as they very loudly and explicitly shared their golf exploits of the day. We decided to take our food to go. The guy said "I won't charge you for the drinks." Huh? He said they were free in the first place. And there was so much blue cheese on my salad I had to pick it out, it was so overpowering. The whole experience was a mess. Won't go back. read more

Played 11-2-19. Been playing this course for the last 5 years whenever we travel to the area. Course is playable and fun for every level of golfer. Greens are challenging. Course is well maintained. It's on the valley floor w/ gorgeous 360* mountain views. We played in the afternoon and the fall color and fresh air and shadows were lovely. If you play in summer, be well prepared for dive bomber attack mosquitoes! They will sting through clothing. The course does its best w/ mosquito control, but those pesky critters are determined. 4 stars and not 5 is due to the pro shop person, a middle aged man w/ dark brown or black hair, medium build, and no manners. He is an equal opportunity rude/mean/disrespectful person. He seems to have a good memory, because he remembers who we are when we visit, and he's rude each time. He's repeatedly insulted me, my spouse, and our friends. Clearly, reporting him to management did no good. We don't let his poor attitude ruin our fun and enjoyment of this beautiful course. There are new golf carts w/ a 6 pack size ice chest, more comfortable seats, bigger storage bin, more/bigger cup holders, and windshields! Really nice. read more

I went to this golf course as a young 21 year old girl with my family and my mom and I were on a golf cart and was cat called by an employee. I got out of the cart and respectfully asked him not to talk to us like that his response was calling us ugly. Do I care what a 45 y/o man driving golf carts for a living thinks of me? No. But do I want to be respected - I ASSUME respect. The other employees don't really seem to care about it. Sexism is already too prevalent at golf course, let's stop feeding into that mentality. read more

Just finished the front 9 holes on this lovely course with my girlfriend! We have been playing for about 2 months. Very friendly service, cheap pay and play! The greens are nice and overall not a difficult course (only lost one ball). Easy to walk and there are water stations at 2nd, 6th and 8th hole (so hot). Thx for a nice game! This Course is Awesome. Not to challenging but an all around test on your game. I play here maybe 4-6 times a month the course is always in exceptional condition and the greens are always well kept.
