My husband gets his hair cut here from Brooke all the time. He found Bishops when we first moved here and was on the hunt for a new hair stylist. He is happy with his hair every time. Brooke is really friendly and professional. My son has also gotten his hair cut once here and I loved it! He looked so handsome! Appointments are required. Text when you arrive and you will be told when to come in. Once inside the chairs are socially distanced. They don't schedule a bunch of people at one time, so it's pretty empty. I went in this past Sunday, thinking that I had scheduled my appointment for that day, just to find out that I had been mistaken. Ryan immediately began to seek out new times and dates that would work, then noticed that he had an opening for the end of the day and put me in that spot without a moment's hesitation. Not only that, but he then gave me a haircut that turned out better than 95% of any other place I'd ever gone before. Throughout the whole experience he was extremely understanding, respectful, and thorough. Everyone has their inherent doubts regarding moving to a new place/finding a new barber, but every one of those doubts were silenced after this experience. My fourth time at this location and this time I checked in online with Misti, who I found out is the store manager. She was absolutely wonderful! She even showed me some styling techniques to use on my curly/wavy hair! She listened to what haircut style I was looking for and delivered! My hair turned out so cute, and I can't wait to come back in and see her :-) I've seen three different stylists since I've been coming here (Haley, Dani and now Misti). Im posting my review now, because i had to wait for my hair to grow a little before i could see how much damage Cayla, the stylist, did to my hair. She didnt just give me a bad haircut. She ruined my hair. As you can see in the picture, this was intentional. No stylist should ever cut anybodys hair, in this manner. She took out half of my hairs thickness ,as you can see , from the picture. She would have done the same thing, on the other side, but I saw what she was doing, and told her to stop. And, she even responded with " Oh, you saw that??" When I went back into to Bishops, to ask her about it , she wouldnt even talk, to me. She just called the manager. The manager asked what they could do for me. Well , how can you fix that.? So i would never suggest anyone use this salon. The stylist are unprofessional. Extemeley unprofessional. read more

Found this place by searching yelp reviews. I'm starting to learn the hard way that the lower star places are lower star for a reason. I usually get a high fade, which, where I'm from is a $20 minimum. Previous place I tried before here was $7. It's $15 here, which is double, but I felt they need did a much better job here. Idk, to me, the closer to skin you get, the better (let's the fresh hair cut look last a couple days longer usually) and the other place gave me a buzz cut too, but I felt the one here was way better. Enough to not even consider the other place in my next haircut. Checked in via touch screen computer in lobby. There's a 6 seat wooden bench, they're quite snug. I feel like if I got any fatter, I wouldn't fit. They look like old wooden theater or stadium seats. Luckily, both times I've come have been morning times so it hasn't been packed while waiting, so idk how they handle slams. They offered me a beer while waiting to get a hair cut, which, as a walk in, was only a 15-20 minute wait. read more

I went in for color and cut today with Savanna. I was there for 3 hours. I walked out and realized most of my head had not been rinsed at all. I still have hair dye all over my head. I went back in to talk to her about it and she offered to spritz it. Did not offer to wash it or anything. I spent 118$ and I have to step in the shower an hour later all because she didn't wash my hair to begin with. When you get your hair done, you expect to walk out feeling good and confident and be able to go in public. Instead, I walked out feeling cheated and gross and had to go home immediately to wash my hair. Unacceptable! read more

I had such a positive experience at Bishops today! I have been searching for a queer friendly barber for some time now and stumbled across them purely by chance. I have had long hair my entire life and wanted to make the big chop to something more androgynous, but I didn't want to go to a traditional salon where they might misunderstand the look I was going for. My stylist Dani was so helpful and really took the reference pictures I brought into account. I could not be happier with my overall experience - the staff was so friendly and supportive, the salon is clean and stylish, and most importantly, my cut looks amazing for an affordable price! $35 for long and $29 for short. They also offer a punch card and you can get your eleventh cut free, which will be great for me, now that I need to come back in for regular trims.
