This is our favorite pumpkin patch to go to. They don't charge for entrance but do charge a parking fee, except if you're military. Fri is fireworks, Saturday and Sunday are movie nights. They have the best apple cider, caramel apples, apple baked goods and my families favorite - apple cider float that comes with a caramel apple. They have so much fun and free things to do, like the hay ride, pig Olympics, live bands, magician and play structures. You can also buy tickets for the prices stuff like corn maze, train ride, sunflowers and amusement park rides for the littles. Pumpkin patch, sunset and bonfires for rent. Plenty of space to picnic at the tables or bring your own blanket. They have some food venues but we like to pack our own stuff so we can binge on the sweet stuff. This place is great for kids and adults as well! I would recommend making sure your children use the restroom or even bring a little potty jar (boys) with you because the lines are so long and there's only one set of regular toilets. They do not keep the porta potty's clean and it's a disaster and I wouldn't take children in there but overall it's a great place. You don't have to spend a ton of money. Parking is $20 which I think is high, but bring your own lunch and have a picnic out there and let the kids just play on the playground type structures, old western town, the slides it's really wonderful. My only problem is the restrooms. They're pretty gross. If you have little ones, bring a cart to tote them around in if it helps. This place literally has thousands of people so keep your kids close. We came here on a Sunday with low expectations and was blown away by how much fun this place is for the entire family. First, we arrived at 9:30am without a crowd in sight. Sweet! Parking is $20 per car. There were a bunch of classic cars, display tractors, farm equipment throughout the 40 acre property. We purchased 50 tickets (47.99 + tax) and they were enough for 2 kids. We strolled through the sunflower patch, ran around in the corn maze, rode the flying service, watched a jumping dog show, rode the train, had lunch at the cafe, ate apple dumplings from Mrs. B's bakery, watched pigs racing and Mark Wilder's (the Wilder Show) juggling act, pet the goats, slid down 2 long slides and panned for marbles! For me, being in the crowd to see the Wilder Show was the highlight of our day! We will be back next year, that's for sure. read more

This year was our first time at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm and there were some things that were great and some things that could have been better. This place is definitely an excellent place for families with very young kids to have their fall pumpkin fun as most of the rides were geared for younger kids. I was initially blown away by how big this place actually was and surprised about how well it was run with many employees working in all areas on a Saturday afternoon. There was lots of traffic getting to the parking lot and the parking fee was $10. There was no entrance fee, but in order to ride rides, you had to purchase tickets, which are $1 each. Each ride required a certain number of tickets with the zip line being 12 tickets per ride. If you come on a weekday, parking is free and tickets are a little cheaper (10 cents) per ticket. There were only two things we wanted to do at Bishop's, but didn't get to. The first was the corn maze. We looked forward to doing the corn maze at Bishop's, however, when we got there, the corn maze was closed! This was due to a storm they had a week ago, which knocked the corn maze down. Their website never mentioned it was closed and if it had, I probably wouldn't have come. The second thing we wanted to do was the big blue slide, which we saw on the map and photos, however, the blue slide had broke earlier that year and it was taken down! We were pretty disappointed since most of the other rides were too baby for us. We went over to the pumpkin patch, which was quite vast, and took some cute pumpkin patch photos. Then we went on a different slide at coyote mountain and did the marble mining, which was not bad. They played "Hocus Pocus" that night and we were fortunate enough to sit by the fire pits to keep warm. After the movie, we decided to do the zip line before leaving since the line had died down a little. Earlier in the afternoon, the line was so long, there was no way we were going to wait in it. The workers were pretty nice about getting us strapped in gear and were excellent and courteous throughout the whole process. The zip line was short, but pretty fun! Despite us being a little upset and feeling let down when we first arrived due to the only activities we wanted to do being closed, we ended our time at Bishop's feeling happy and glad we went. It was a nice opportunity to check out this amazing pumpkin farm. It was definitely one of the nicest (and most packed) pumpkin farms I've ever been to. read more

My boyfriend, my daughter and I were invited by my sister and my brother-in-law, for lunch we stopped by The Tin Shed Barbecue. I ordered the Bishop's World-Renowned Saucy Tri Tip Sandwich. It was VERY Meaty and saucy just how I like it! Just a bit on the sweet side. My daughter had the Jumbo Dog Meal, since unfortunately kids meals weren't available the day we visited. She devoured and loved it, including the fries they came with! I also ordered her a milk, which she of course enjoyed! Before we left my boyfriend surprised us with a gallon of their Pure Apple Cider. This amazing cider has no preservatives and is made with pure deliciously sweet apples! It's addicting too, 1 gallon goes fast! My daughter and I loved their merry-go-round and my boyfriend, my daughter, my sister and I had fun in their corn maze! She even got her whole face painted like a skull with glitter and fed a lamma, goats and sheep and visited the pigs at their petting zoo! She was a bit sad that she couldn't pick out a pumpkin since they were either smashed or too heavy to carry. I've been going to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm since I was a kid! It's grown so much over the years but all of the additions have been fantastic! I will say the one downside is that the crowds have grown exponentially and the lines are waaaay longer than I recall as a kid. We waited for nearly an hour just to ride the train. But besides that, I'm so impressed with Bishop's and it was very nostalgic to visit here again. Entry was free (besides the $20 parking fee on the weekends) and a lot of the attractions are as well. It was fun to just walk around and enjoy the various things they have to offer. Definitely a must see! read more

Bishop's has really come a long way from when we first visited ~13 years ago. It has more of a Disney vibe now. You can zip line, there's a designated alcohol area, an amusement park ride, and all the classic stuff like the train, hayride and pony rides. My immediate family and I have been coming to Bishop's ever since I was in Jr high. It's definitely grown in size over the yrs. The food at Bishop's is okay, it's like pricey theme park food. Everyone should save their appetite for all of the baked goods. The baked goods are worth the trip, the money, and the calories. All of the baked treats are better than Apple Hill....yes you read that right....BETTER than Apple Hill. The cider at Bishop's is also better than Apple hill. The only thing Apple Hill had on Bishop's was their hard or alcoholic cider. But now Bishop's starting this yr serves their own at a couple of stands called Bishop's Other Cider. I had the pineapple guava hard cider and it was good. They provide samples and if you get the souvenir glass then you get 1 refill that day when you show your poker chip for the stand. The baked goods and treats are from the Bishop family's grandmother recipes. The french Apple pie and the lemon walnut pie are to die for. The crumble topping on the fresh Apple pie is soo good and the lemon walnut is like lemon curd with walnuts. The pies are sold as a whole, by the slice, or in the mini cutie pies. You can get the pie slice or cutie pie with soft serve ice cream, their pies are the best. Their chocolate crinkle cookies used to be good when they were sold at the bakery. But now that they're sold at the Cookieactory, they're not quite as rich fudge like. But the chocolate chip cookies at the Cookieactory are gooey and delicious. The bakery is separate from the Cookieactory and sells other things like an Apple dumpling served with cider sauce thats very good, cakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls etc. There are also caramel popcorn balls, different caramel apples, and cider, but these are also sold at different stands like The Cider Mill and gift shop. They have the Cider Mill which has the Apple cider slushies and cider slushies with ice cream, different caramel apples, kitchen decor, and local products that are jarred. I believe there's also apple or pumpkin butter sold at the Cider Mill if that's your thing. This yr they introduced Will E. Coyote's Tradin' Post that had fresh kettle corn and samples, hard cider slushies, and pretzels etc. There's also the cider slushie shed towards the entrance so you don't only have to go to Cider Mill. There's plenty to do for kids from a petting zoo, corn maze, pig races (for free), puppet show (for free), slides, a new ride that opened this yr, pony rides, train ride, petting zoo etc. Each activity requires tickets that you can purchase. There's a hay ride out to the pumpkin fields to just enjoy or to pick a fresh pumpkin. If you don't want to go this route for pumpkins there's pumpkins to choose from a different variety to buy near the entrance. You can take the hay ride whether or not you pick pumpkins. The farm is surrounded by pumpkin fields, almond orchards, trees, and it can be very picturesque, it's a real pumpkin patch. There's dirt everywhere and you park in grass and dirt. So I wouldn't suggest wearing cute shoes you're not wanting to get dirty. Parking is free in all September and I believe only during wk days in October? Bishop's will keep you entertained for sure. From pick some pumpkins, rock climb tower, merry-go-round, slides, kids zone, zip line, tractor tire workout zone, and more. They had food random choice of food at sections from, chicken, burgers, hotdogs, pulled pork and tri tip sandwiches, nachos, and more items available. They also have a bakery store and a gift shop. We also saw a coffee and cookie station too. Gotta get some of the lemonade from the bootlegging Lee's lemonade stand. Then for an icecream treat we saw a dipping dot stand!!! Parking was $15 and entrance was free. With the rides you have to buy fun tickets $1 ea. The zip line was $12 per person, and the the coyote mountain had 2 slides, and a Waterloo area that you got to go panning for marbles. Limit is 10 per person per day, but who counts these days lol. With the coyote mountain it was $5 to enter, but you get a wrist band so you can come and goes as you like all day. They had a lot of benches and seats all around some in and out of shade, but alot of them. And with covid-19 going on still, they did have some signs encouraging people to wear masks but not a mandatory, it looked like 50/50 split on if people did or not. But the good news they did have a ton of hand sanitization stations all around and filled with a gallon at each station, so pump it out to your clean hands desire. By far one of the best pumpkin patches I've ever been too. So many things to do and it's so big. They sell food, alcohol, sweets and cider + pumpkins obviously. We went on Sunday night, a few days before Halloween and it was so crowded. The lines for things were long even for food. That night they had the bonfires out and they had screens for movie night. The food is basic food like hot dogs, hamburger, pulled pork burgers (those weren't good). Last year I went I got cinnamon rolls nd Carmel apples. I tried to go get some this time and the line was insane so I passed. It was $10 or $15 dollars for parking (don't remember paying the last year). For the rides you have to buy tickets. Each ride is about 4/5 tickets per person. There were some food trucks, tacos and pizza I'm assuming it's bc it was the weekend. They have pony rides for little kids but the tickets for the rides don't work for these. I think it was $10 and you can get their picture taken for another $15-$20. Overall I love this pumpkin patch. All the other ones I've been to are small with a few things, but this one is extremely big with a lot to do. It definitely cost more than your average pumpkin patch but it's worth it for fun with family. read more

This is like the Disneyland of pumpkin patches. There's so much to do and it's like a mini theme park. Also in similarity, every single thing costs money. Parking is $20. There are pony rides and it was about a 40 min wait. Pictures were $14. Parents can go in with the kids but are not allowed to take pictures inside. You are able to take pictures from the outside though. This was the only activity that did not require tickets and you pay at the pony booth. Tickets are required for the all other activities. Plan carefully on what you want to do and the total amount of tickets needed to save money on bundles and to save time. There is a long line to purchase tickets. There is tax on the ticket sales. There's a petting zoo that is very controlled and clean. The animals are sectioned off with a gate. Tickets are required and are free for kids 2 and under. They also sell ice cream cones with food to feed the animals which can be purchased with tickets or cash. I took my son on the tractor ride and he really enjoyed it. It was like the 'it's a small world after all' ride at Disneyland but tractor and farm themed. It costed $18 for 3 people which was a bit steep but I must say I was impressed with the quality of the ride. For first time guests that are 2 and under, make sure to let them know and they will provide a free small pumpkin and certificate. read more

Overview: I'm a sucker for all things fall so I'm probably looking at bishops with fall tinted goggles but I loved it! Lots of tasty treats, good food, beautiful views and fair prices for pumpkins. Big caveat for my review is we don't have kids, we're just one of those millennials that likes fall and farm aesthetic lol so overall I can't speak on the family focused parts of bishops. Parking: Went here on October 30, the day before Halloween. We got there as soon as it opened, got a spot near the entrance, parking was $10 but no other entrance fee so I'd say its pretty fair! Tractor Rides and Pumpkin Patch: The tractor rides are FREE and super enjoyable. They run them in 10 minute intervals so no cart is ever super crowded, if one is you can just opt to hop in the next one. You can either sit in hay or on one of the 4 elevated seats. We ended up paying $9 for 3 medium sized pumpkins, which was a lot less than we thought it was going to be. There were tons of pumpkins to choose from, and many cute varieties of colors. Food and Treats: First we got a small cookie cup from the cookie stand for $7. We got half crinkle and half chocolate chip. Both SUPER GOOD! Next we tried a sticky bun and a pumpkin pecan pie. The sticky bun was ok, but the pumpkin pecan pie was soooo good! We described it as a hearty, less-sweet pecan pie. Usually pecan pie can be overwhelmingly sweet, but throw in some pumpkin and it totally levels out the sweetness! For lunch we had a corn dog and chicken sandwich. If you have kids you HAVE to come here! This is THE BEST pumpkin patch/ pumpkin farm/ mini amusement park :) This was my daughters first Halloween so I did my research and asked around for the best pumpkin patch in the Sacramento area and everyone told me Bishops, Bishops, Bishops. It's a bit out of the way for us (45 minutes from Natomas) but so worth the drive. My fiancé and I thought we were just going to a "cool" pumpkin patch but when we got here, we were shocked. We came on a Saturday and it was packed. $20 for parking which was a little high but oh well. It's to be expected. This place is huge! We saw people wandering to try and find there car. So a helpful tip my fiancé thought of was to pin your location on your phone when you park. When we got to the entrance it just reminded me of an old colonial village/ farm. Everything was so clean and pretty. Tons of pumpkin and cute pictures spots. Food trucks and food stands. Actual bathrooms! There was a sunflower field, zip lines, tractor rides... the list goes on. As we walked around we got some food, beer and ended up watching a pig race! What?! Hahaha Then we wandered to find the best place to take some pictures with the pumpkins and our daughter. Check. Unfortunately our daughter was melting down a bit after 3 or so hours so we got some tickets for the cute little train ride and called it a day. My fiancé and I agreed that this was such an awesome place we would love to come back for date night just us so we can do the corn maze, chill in the beer garden and watch the fireworks. There are multiple helpers to guide you to a parking spot and lots of things to do, especially if you have kids. LOVED visiting this farm with my family. I have a 2 year old and almost 5 year old and there was something for all of us to do/enjoy. My BIL paid for a group of us to do the fire pit with hot dogs and s'mores and it was a blast! There are so many food options and I love that you can bring your own food/drink in and have a picnic without having to spend an arm and a leg. The only critiques I would give are -we didn't know how to find the fire pit area because there was no sign of any maps when we walked in -we were the next in line for the train, but because the gates didn't all open at the same time (ours didn't even get opened), we barely made it on at all. Initial observations: you literally need tickets for ANY ACTIVITY. **If you want more details on this I've included some at the end of this review** The activities, food, & drinks themselves are grossly overpriced. It's out in the sticks and only open for a few months a year so that might explain it. There were LOTS of things to do and if you were making a whole day trip out of it you MAY be able to get all of the activities squeezed into a single day. We were only there for about 3 hours and did maybe 4 of the things they had on offer. We loved the corn maze but we all wish it had a bit more challenge to it. You can tell it's a bit of a local hang out for high school students, as they were frequently seen outside of any actual activity, sitting on the benches. The worst and BEST thing about this trip were some of the staff manning the ticket booths and activities. They were ALL VERY NICE and polite! The worst part was that I bought a $25 ticket pack ($1=1ticket ) but accidentally dropped them near said high school students. I noticed they were gone pretty quickly and re-traced my steps. The very last spot I'd been in was watching my daughter and father from outside the petting zoo with my tickets tucked under my armpit in case my daughter wanted more tiny pellet cones to feed to the goats. I walked away from that and went to inquire about the tractors taking passenger to and from the pumpkin patch about 10 feet away. I spoke to a tractor driver for about a min and then noticed that I had DROPPED all my tickets. The group of teenagers had conspicuously moved from the tables with benches on the other side of the walkway TO the petting pen gate WITHOUT any benches/tables and were all huddled together whispering. I knew right away I wasn't going to see my tickets again but asked anyway. Obviously their answer was a resounding "NO!" & "I/We haven't seen any tickets on the ground". Then tittered as I walked away. The BEST part was when I asked the petting zoo person if they had seen any tickets on the ground or turned in from anyone around that area. It was a half hearted attempt as I already KNEW where my tickets had gone but took a chance by asking. The girl manning the petting pen pointed to a ticket booth about 8ft away and told me to ask there. I walked over and asked about any turned in tickets there and the guy at the ticket booth asked me how many I'd bought. I said I'd bought the $25 ticket pack but only had about 17 left after the petting pen. He smiled and ripped off 20 TICKETS and handed them to me!!!! It was such a kind gesture I couldn't even speak for a second. I tore 3 off and handed them back to him and then profusely thanked him. It was just...such a kind act in a place that charges SO MUCH for any and everything there. I am STILL so thankful for that act of kindness. We were also pleasantly surprised when we got to the Corn Maze and were 2 tickets shy. I got some bills out to pay but the 2 people manning it told us to just go-ahead. No addl $ needed. I dropped the $2 as a tip anyway. It was very nice though. They did have some pretty good fresh apple cider. We normally only get apple cider 1-2x per year at Apple Hill but theirs was pretty good too! Obviously it was overpriced at $10 for a HALF GALLON. We didn't try any of the Apple doughnuts and other apple flavored treats only the Apple Slushy which was also pretty good. I don't think at just above $8 for a "grande" sized plain apple slushy drink was worth the price though. ****The petting pen was grossly overpriced. This is especially noticeable if you have young kids who love animals. And really, what kid doesn't? One of our first activities was that very thing. The stinky fly infested "petting pen"was 4 tickets/PP (so $8 for one adult and one child) and if you wanted to feed any of the goats or pigs it would cost you an ADDITIONAL $3.00 (or 3 tix) inside the for ONE tiny Ice Cream Cone filled with feeding pellets. It was particularly disappointing that the ONLY animals you could pet were the goats. They had a Highland Cow and horses, however they were inaccessible. You had to see them through a pre-gate in front of their enclosures. I wish they would disclose that BF you pay to see the animals. The plus side to the petting pen was that they had several stand alone hand washing stations and were adamant about washing your hands both before and after you petted the animals. The carousel ride was ok. It only lasted for about 1 minute and cost $2/2tkts per rider. We ended up doing it twice as it was my daughter's first time on a carousel. read more

First time visit today! Came out on a Friday afternoon with the family (7adults & 2 toddlers). We paid $10 to park and found parking very near the entrance for disabled but a lot further out for the other 3 cars. There's a lot to see, do and eat for all ages and many photo ops. They can dive you out on a free hayride to the pumkin patches to pick a pumpkin or you can pick one from one of the patches in the activity area. Thankfully many of the walkways are cemented and "mobility" friendly. Since it was our first trip we weren't sure what to expect so the great-grandma in our group only brought her walker, definitely should have brought her wheelchair instead. Otherwise except for it being a little pricey for food and rides, (especially if you have multiple kids) it's a pretty fulfilling adventure. On the plus side, You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks in as well and they have many shady areas with picnic table to eat and/rest, but honestly there are so many yummy things you'd rather try...lol read more

Best pumpkin patch in the Sacramento area in my opinion. They have added so many attractions and shows over the years. The apple cider float was bomb. Zipline was worth the wait. It goes faster than you think. Def worth a trip during this season. read more
