And they actually had the audacity to give me a bad reference which is now effecting my ability to find a new place. Hope I don't have to sleep in the moving van tonight. I've had a spotless tenant record for 8 years in 4 different states and I have never encountered anything like these people. This is THE WORST property management company I've ever met.

Sought Mr. Reichert's assistance in finding a hotel development site along the I-94 corridor between Beach and Dickinson. Mr. Reichert discussed several possibilities and stated he would get back to me with additional information. Mr. Reichert never got back to me via a telephone call or email. Mr. Reichert did not return my email message requests for an update. Even worse, Mr. Reichert did not return my telephone voice mail messages left after his assistant confirmed he was in the office. Mr. Reichert is another North Dakota broker that appears to only be interested in working on fast transactions, meaning real estate buyers with cash-in-hand and ready to close in 30-60 days without any contingencies. I don't have a problem with such an approach provided you tell potential clients your business practice during the first meeting. What's the point of leading clients on, promising to get back to them with additional information and recommendations, when you have no intention of ever working with said clients? Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache that will surely result from working with Mr. Reichert. Life's too short.

It didn't matter. I've been fighting with them to return our security deposit. They have provided no proof or itemized list (which is required by law). NDCC 47-16-07 outlines how security deposits must be handled: landlords are required to return the deposit or provide an itemized list of damages and deductions within 30 days after the lease ends. They are ignoring me, which they are not allowed to do. Despite repeated requests, I still haven't received the itemized list. Parkway initially claimed we wouldn't get any of our deposit back, but then they said they sent a check in the mail. It was not sent certified, and when I asked for proof, they provided nothing. They try to pick and choose which parts of the lease they want to enforce and which parts apply to the tenants. That's not how a lease works--you can't selectively honor certain clauses. It's sad that almost every property management company in Bismarck is known for pulling stunts like this. This needs to stop. I encourage everyone to file complaints with the ND Attorney General, ND Housing Department, and the North Dakota Real Estate Commission.
