A little more bone than I expected, but they were cooked and seasoned well. I took off one star for the chicken tikka masala. So much oil! It was flavorful, but once I extracted the chicken pieces, there was still more than half a container of gravy, more oily than creamy. So we came here just to try it out because of so many posts on Facebook. We ordered chicken biryani, nihari, Karahi chicken, 6 regular naans and roghni naan, 6 tandoori and raita. The chicken biryani was so bland and didn't feel cooked enough. The nihari was weak and had no flavor. The chicken leg was overly red but was maybe the only thing eatable but wasn't that good. The naans weren't even naans to be honest, I would recommend the chef/owner go to pakwan in Fremont and try the naans there and see how it should be. Maybe the roghni naan were as they should be. The chai came out late. Oh yea we came on Sunday for nashta bfast of halwa puree and that was not there today. We visited in late Feb 2025 and tried their Butter chicken, Chicken Karhai (which is not Pakistani style but is more like gravy chicken - still flavourful), plain Naan, Chicken tikka (it was not a very good portion and was burnt). Since I am their regular customer and I understand that once in a while things happen, I ignored the issue with my last purchase of chicken tikka. Other wise, I tried their Tikka, Nihari, Maghaz, and Naan multiple times. Prices are affordable. They have tables for dine in and serve complimentary tea as well. The ambiance is casual, and the service is good. Though owner refused us not to bring or eat food from other restaurants during dinning there. Traditional Pakistani food cooked with a lot of love - we loved every bite of our halwa-puri-chole platter (think fried soft flour tacos with a flavorful garbanzo beans curry and a semolina based sweet), tandoori chicken wings, and Naan and chicken karahi. The Naan definitely deserves a special mention - one of the best in the bay area. Added bonus - complimentary milky tea/ chai - something you hardly find post covid in South Asian restaurants. All this awesome food and we still spent only about $40 after taxes and tips. This place is a gem! I've been to more than a hundred Indian/Pakistani restaurants in the US and this one is easily in my top 5. The reason is the authenticity of flavors - finger licking food cooked in a real tandoor, the right balance of spice to meat and huge portions. The chefs cook in a style reminiscent of Central Asian Pashtun cuisine and I have only experienced the same flavor in the homes of people who have roots in the Pashtun community. We tried the following items and cannot recommend them enough: - Chicken kofta - spiced minced chicken balls pounded with spices, onions, coriander and mild chillies, cooked in a rich slightly tangy yet very rich gravy - Lamb Bhuna - small chunks of lamb simmered in a rich gravy with whole spices - Regular and Garlic Naan - If I could give these 10 stars, I would. The naan dough is likely made with milk and butter which makes it so soft while still being crisp and is pillowy. The best part is that it's made in a real tandoor! The versatility of the naan is that you can have it with curries, kebabs and tandoor items and also just on its own or with a cup of chai for breakfast the next day. I saw people just ordering extra naan and having that after their meal - it was that good. - tandoor chicken and seekh kebab were also big hits - very authentic taste and large portions. They serve complimentary chai which was SO good. In addition, if you are fasting for Ramadan, they give you free pakoras and dates (the good kind, with almonds inside them) for iftar. May god bless them for their generosity. They are quite affordable. They are of course halal. The cup had a piece of parsley stuck to it. The bathroom: one was not flushed, both nasty and had no toilet paper. The food took 45 minutes to come out (2 dishes and one naan). Only one other table before us. maybe some take out orders but i didn't see any bags awaiting pick up. The food wasn't anything special to compensate for the above. I have never had better Indian food! This place is your typical hole in the wall restaurant with some bomb food! You order, seat yourself and then pay after.
