Absolutely loved this place! The flavors are spot on -- you get the perfect mix of Indian street-style chaat and Indo-Chinese dishes. We tried the Pani Puri, Paneer Kathi Roll, Fried Chicken Momos, Shrimp Tikka Masala with Sesame Naan, and Veg Chowmein -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The tandoori chicken was smoky and juicy, and the momos were some of the best I've had in the Bay Area! The restaurant has a cozy vibe, great service, and generous portions. Perfect spot for family dinners or catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Indo-Chinese or chaat in Fremont!

I've been looking for a good spot for momos. And this tastes close to homemade. 10 pieces is very filling and I liked it paired with the spicy sauce (forgot the name of it). Overall food was pretty good and the wait was not too long. Staff were friendly.

Himalayan Bite is a cozy new gem that truly surprises with its flavors. The food feels homely yet flavorful. Got the veg momos and even though I'm not usually a momo fan, these were packed with perfectly seasoned stuffing and tasted amazing. The veg chowmein had that perfect street style charm and the bullet naan was bold, garlic naan was crispy and aromatic and the cheese naan soft and comforting. The goat curry had tender meat simmered in spiced gravy, while the palak paneer was well balanced. The panipuri didn't quite hit the mark flavor wise and could use a bit more punch but overall the meal was delightful. It's more of a simple and heartfelt eatery that focuses on what matters most, good food and great staff!

Just opened up and so excited to share because it was absolutely amazing. The food was top tier and that's important because Indian food in Fremont is on every street. Their presentation was 10/10 and customer service was amazing as well. Can't wait to try more things.

What a presentation!! Amazing gol gappas!

Honestly the best gol gappas and momos i've ever had!!! It was excellent!!! The gol gappa paani had 3 different flavors too good and their chutneys for momos were also A level. Chai matka was amazing with perfect sugar not too sweet!!! Definitely coming back here and spreading the word among my friends.

Finally, a restaurant in Fremont where the chef is actually one of the partners, and honestly, you can taste the difference! This simple fact translates into consistency and passion that's palpable in every dish, unlike the countless new spots popping up where owners just hire cooks and quality varies by the day (or shall I say, by their mood!). We decided to take the owner's recommendation, and what a decision that turned out to be. He started us off with Veg Manchurian that was perfectly crispy - you could literally smell the freshness before even taking the first bite. Paired it with Veg Noodles where the veggies had this amazing crunch while being perfectly cooked, and we were off to a great start. But the real showstopper was the Veg Chilli Momos. Stir-fried and then sautéed Chinese-style with bell peppers and onions, these were seriously delicious and something refreshingly different from your usual steamed momos. This alone is worth the visit, me thinks! We also tried the Malai Momos which came with a cream topping, but personally, I didn't find it as appealing. The regular steamed momos were good too, but once you've had the Chilli version, everything else takes a backseat. Moving ahead, we ordered the Paneer Tikka Kabob which arrived on a sizzling plate with six huge, beautifully charred chunks of paneer. Fair warning though - it's quite heavy! We also got their Garlic Naan fresh from the tandoor, absolutely loaded with minced garlic, but by this point we were so stuffed we couldn't do it justice. Mental note for next time - just naan and curries would make for a perfect meal! The interior is vibrant and quirky with colorful tones that immediately lift your mood. What really caught my attention was their innovative live pani puri station and a charming chai corner with traditional kulhads that doubles as the reception area. It's these thoughtful touches that make the experience memorable. All in all, Himalayan Bite delivers quality Indo-Chinese food with heart, and the chef-partner's hands-on approach really shows. Will I be back? Absolutely - those Veg Chilli Momos are calling my name already!

    Matka Chai

Their garlic naan is the best I had so far, you can tell it's freshly baked and so fluffy and soft. The veg chow mein and chaat are also very tasty! We are happy that this place opened and it's so close to us. people are nice there too :) very easy to talk to. They recommended food for us since it's our first time.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

They also respected my comment for mild spicy, and it was one of the only times I drank almost all the soup since I did not taste artificial powders or too much white pepper. The Chili Oil noodle was also ordered with mild spice, and the noodles were so chewy and perfect, I can't wait to come back here already! We just wished the chili oil noodle had more meats, since there were like only a 2 or 3 slices of beef. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt.
