Short Story: A great Indian place in Fremont! Long Story: I've been coming here for several years now and each time it does not disappoint! I've had almost all their dishes including chicken 65, several biryani, curries, naan, and roti. For the most part the portions are generous and the food is excellent. There are times when I feel they don't give enough shrimp/fish and the naan/roti prices keep going up! The restaurant itself is a bit small with a few booths. I've only gotten to-go (both ordering at the store and online). The service is okay to good and the restaurants has lots of natural lighting from the large windows. Verdict: I'll go back! read more

An update as we were needing food today and decided to try this place out again and try a few more items. Today we called in our order, they told us 20-25 minutes to pick up. So we took our time. There was one table that was pretty much done eating when we arrived. The person at the counter told us it would take 10 more minutes so we waited. The inside was basically booths to sit in which was kind of nice. There seems to be a QR code to order food at the table. Well we waited and waited and well even the table who asked for the check and to-go containers started to be impatient. Well it took roughly 33 minutes for us from phone order to getting our food. So beware of what you order and the time it will take to get your food. Apparently there were a few orders that came in at the same time as us, so maybe that's the case, or perhaps fish is just something that a lot of places seem to not have ready to go. Speaking of fish, we ordered a fish tikka and shrimp hakka noodles. When we got home and unpacked, I was a bit shocked at how little fish there was. I think it's supposed to be 2 filets but they were sliced into 5 pieces. The flavor was quite spicy but that's a premade tikka sauce that they put on their tikka menu items. The fish itself was ok. I just wish there was more than what was there. The bell peppers were grilled alongside the fish. The shrimp hakka noodles were well peppered and we were able to put this to mild spiciness. There were slivers of bell peppers (green and red) as well as onions and a number of shrimp. The noodles felt standard. Basically peppery spaghetti. It was fine. Oh! If you are eating there, be aware that you may smell like food. It's kind of cold inside to help with the ventilation but the food smells still permeate throughout the space. Overall, perhaps stick to the biryanis. I'm sure we might try out more of their menu one day and we'll perhaps find something that would be good but today wasn't that day. read more

Updated review. Not sure what happened but my recent experience is not as good as the last ones. Food wasn't as good as it was before and the naan didn't taste as fresh like it did before like it was freshly baked. Service is also not existent, hard to get someone's attention when no one stays in the front everyone is always in the kitchen. We might not be coming back unfortunately. read more

Came here during Fremont Restaurant Week and the food was actually pretty good. The biryani was flavorful, the rice was fragrant, and the portion size was generous. If you like meat and biryani, this place definitely delivers on the food. Unfortunately, the billing left a bad impression. When it was time to pay, the staff simply brought the card machine over for me to tap and sign without showing the itemized bill first. Only after reviewing the receipt later did we realize there was a 10% dine-in service fee added. On top of that, tax was also applied to the service fee, and this wasn't clearly mentioned beforehand. I completely understand restaurants adding service charges, but it should really be clearly disclosed and customers should have a chance to review the bill before paying. My sister's friends had catered food from this location at a party of theirs and my sister loved it! Tonight, we (three of us) decided to go here for a quick dinner. We were very hungry as we'd been out all day. Location: blink and you'll miss it! We had to hit a u-turn to get to the restaurant. There were definitely a few spots available when we went (Monday night just before 6 pm), but I can imagine it gets busy in that small parking lot. Service: everything we asked for, we received! We had just come from Philz and we requested cups to split our coffees -- they were so sweet to accommodate (even gave us a cup of hot water when we asked later). I asked for green chili and onions-- the onions and limes were $1 and they also threw in the chili! They were very accommodating and kind! Taste: we ordered gobi Manchurian, baby corn Manchurian, chicken dum biriyani, fish tikka (tilapia), chicken Hakka noodles, and a side order of rice. We absolutely loved both Manchurian dishes-- our favorite!!! The fish tikka was also very good and served on cabbage. Super fresh and perfectly cooked. The chicken dum biriyani was also quite good (only two pieces of chicken, so you might need to order more if people are hungry), but I wish it had a whole egg instead of just half. The Hakka noodles were also delicious-- I think I'll try the vegetable version next time! Price: everything was fairly affordable!! The butter chicken was super thick and had a rich tomato taste but there were not a lot of chicken pieces in it, which I was a bit disappointed about. However, the sauce itself was pretty filling and worth the $16. The peshwari naan was really tasty but was super sticky and got all over my fingers and my napkins. So, this review is solely for the food. I ordered Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani and Chicken 65. The food wasn't fresh at all. Chicken 65 was so damn hard and chewy, so I just knew this has been re-fried and been quite stale. The biryani was better (only, slightly) than the Chicken 65. Not a huge Indian food fan just because of the salt and crazy peppers but I asked for a low salt option for the entree and it was muy delicioso! I can't tell you what I ate but I had a chicken app that reminded me of orange chicken a bit. I ordered the the lamb I believe and even though he said he could not make it low sodium but compensate with rice, it had some heat behind it but it was pleasant. Garlic naan was good & so was the veggie pakora, but my favorite was the mutton vindaloo. It was really spicy and sour but I like that flavor profile. A little Indian spot hidden in Fremont. Came here with a friend after a trip to Fremont after craving some Indian food. It definitely hit the spot. Prices are reasonable and food is yummy! The chicken tikka masala didn't taste like the usual chicken tikka masala, but in a great way. It was creamy and very flavorful. The hyd mutton curry was savory and had a little kick the mutton was also very tender. Both naans (garlic and regular) tasted good on their own and also complimented the tikka masala and hyd curry well. The servers would check on us to make sure everything was good. This review is for togo order. Portion sizes are customizable in two ways and regular portion is decent for single person. maybe three folks can share two regular biryanis. Usually in majority of restaurants when asked to reduce the spice level, they forget to cater to our request or spice level wont go down but here they do, and biryani level did come go down on one and came as needed on the other. Ghee roast mutton biryani was good Chicken hakka noodles were one of the best we tried. Will come back for more for sure read more
