Amazing experience! Came here out of a limb trying to find a last minute make up artist for my bridal shower. I read the amazing reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I wish I remembered my make up artist name but I do recall her being a quarter Asian and mixed with italian background. She was AMAZING. My make up was absolutely everything I wanted. Had a great experience here. Got my makeup and hair done before an event and was very pleased. I was a little bit nervous at first because I've had bad experiences with random people putting makeup on me and knowing what look works for me. But Whitney did an amazing job and couldn't be happier. It's very clean inside and very spacious. There's a parking lot so you don't have to worry about street parking. I recently moved to Englewood from Long Island, NY; where I had been having my Eyebrow's- threaded by the same woman for 6 years. Needless to say; both finding and trusting a new salon and technician was nerve-racking! Yesterday evening, after doing research on Yelp; I decided to call and make an appointment with Whitney for the following morning (today) because of her rave- reviews. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the appointment as scheduled, but I of course called ahead and asked to reschedule; thankfully it wasn't an issue and the salon was able to accommodate me on the spot! I finally made it in this afternoon and both met and sat with Whitney and I'm thankful that I made it to my afternoon appointment because it was truly a pleasure! - From the location, aesthetics and cleanliness of the salon, too the both friendly accommodating and staff; it was a clear that I'd thankfully found my new go-to spot in town for my Eyebrows! Now, I'm not someone who needs to have my eyebrows threaded often (every month or month and a half) and when I sat in Whitney's chair; we both agreed upon what I was both looking for and wanted and came to the conclusion that all I needed was trimming to even my eyebrow out. - I took Whitney up on her suggestion and the conversation flowed effortlessly throughout the time I sat with her. Although, it took a minimal amount of work and Whitney was done in no-time; I still sat in her chair and would've naturally paid for the service, but she refused and it was classified as complimentary and on the house! - I was pleasantly surprised and very much so appreciative of the kind gesture, but I couldn't not at lest tip her for the service; after all I did still sit in her chair! However, she refused too even accept that! It's a rarity nowadays that you find as accommodating of a person (let alone a business owner)! She made sure that throughout the entire application process that I was aware of color/product choices. She was a sweetheart and she glammed me UP. In my search for bridal hair and makeup 4 weeks before my wedding, they were the only vendor in the Weehawken area that fit my simple/elegant requests for our big day. Made an appointment on Tuesday with Michelle for a Friday appointment at 1:15, however I didn't have anyone to watch my infant. I called Bisous to see if there was any way they could take me a little later and they said unfortunately not. As with any service of the beauty variety I was reluctant to try just any place but Bisous caught my eye (gorgeous decor!) & I hoped the care put into the appearance matched the quality of service as well and it did. This was my first experience ever being at a beauty bar. The location is perfect, with ample parking right outside of the salon. I was having a bit off an off day, but when the owner, Whitney, greeted me with such a beautiful smile and warm welcome, I honestly forgot that I had been upset earlier. She made me feel welcome and at home from the moment I opened the door. I then was greeted by the two lovely girls that took care of me for the next hour, Daniela and Michelle. Michelle was so personable, sat me down and chatted with me about the look I was going for. I am terrible at doing my own hair, but the tips and tricks that Michelle shared with me were so helpful. These ladies make your experience as if you are a princess. After my amazing blow out, Daniela did my make up. She listened to my needs and concerns about not wanting to look too dolled up. She kept me informed each step of the way, and is an amazing artist. I have never had my make up done as wonderfully as I did that day. As a masters student, sometimes I feel that I don't have the time or money to give my appearance the proper attention with a hectic schedule, HOWEVER, at Bisous I not only felt beautiful, I was treated with so much kindness, respect and love.
