This place is amazing! My sister and I stopped here for a late lunch and it was just what we needed and more. They had outdoor seating available, out on a nice patio where it was quiet and peaceful. I got the House burger with a side of coleslaw and it was flavorful, juicy, wonderful, everything about it was great. And BisQit is located in a beautiful area surrounded by clothing boutiques, gift shops, and more, which was quite a treat to explore. I was excited to try the biscuit & gravy and chicken sandwiches, but I was pretty disappointed to find out they only make the gravy with back included. I don't eat bacon, so that took most of the breakfast options away from me for meals. I order 2 eggs meal, and it was just okay. It came with a biscuit as a side, and the biscuit itself was good. The wait staff was nice, and they had the hammock area the restaurant is located was nice, but it was a little disappointing that they didn't have a no bacon option of one of the most prominent items on their menu. This BisQit right here is dense but moist buttery and ohhhhhh so delicious I don't think I've ever had a more enjoyable biscuit. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Grits are cooked southern style with heavy cream not water and real stone ground grits not instant. They know how to cook a perfectly over medium egg too. The place is beach and trendy with a full bar including the 50 tv's in case you wanna catch your favorite sport! Bathrooms are clean. You definitely know you near the beach with wood plank construction very raw and unassuming but welcoming. The staff very friendly and full of suggestions which is great when you're a newbie. Our waitress in particular was super friendly even suggesting dinner options for later that day. They are quick to serve and check on you frequently. Went a few months back for lunch and it was fantastic. Really good service and really good food. I had the fried avocado tacos which were a thing of beauty -- it's really hard to fry avocado without it going south quickly so I was thrilled that the avocados were both perfectly fried and perfectly ripe. It's just a special so not sure how often it's there but I loved it. My wife had the lobster melt and similarly loved it. Not the most lobster-forward sandwich but at its price we didn't expect it to be chock full of lobster. Nonetheless it was totally great and the second half of it heated up really well in the toaster oven. My wife also got a s'mores milkshake that she liked but the main event is the onion rings. Such great onion rings. I could eat a bucket of them and still be happy even though I would probably be sick. My family has had a place in Pawley's Island for almost thirty years and until going to BisQit I've never had any use for the Hammock Shops. I visited Bisqit with a group of friends during a visit from out of town for a wedding to enjoy a nice brunch. We ordered mimosas, micheladas and bloody mary's with a ton of pickled vegetables. I loved the pickled okra, but I thought the other veggies were a bit too pickled and the drink didn't need so many. I ordered the avocado hummus wrap and was pretty disappointed. The wrap was not very full and it felt like I was eating mostly tortilla. The biscuits and gravy ordered by my friends looked okay, but the biscuit without gravy ordered was not eaten due to it being dry. We came to Pawleys Island for a week and visited BisQit three times, so it was good enough for us to be repeat offenders. The restaurant is nestled among pine trees and multiple shops (ranging from an all-year round Christmas shop to a candy store). The first time we went to BisQit, we came for dinner. We were also seated outside on their enclosed patio, which is equipped with A/C and some televisions. We got the menu and the first thing that caught my eye was the adult milkshakes, so I proceeded to order a S'mores milkshake with baileys. The shake came with a toasted marshmallow on it and tasted divine. You could taste the baileys, which was a plus, but also taste the creamy vanilla ice cream, sweet chocolate chips. It was beyond delicious. They have very reasonable prices and a wide variety of items, you can even get breakfast all day, which was great for us, because our little is a bit of a finicky eater, so being able to order two scrambled eggs was a great option for us. On our first visit, both me and my significant other ordered the Lobster BLT with a side of fries. It was delicious. The bread was buttered to perfection and the lobster was plentiful (rich and not chewy). The bacon was crispy and added a great smoky flavor to tie the dish together. The fries were hand cut and tasted scrumptious. The second visit we came for breakfast and that visit didn't disappoint. We both tried two different types of chicken biscuits. I tried one that had cheddar cheese, bacon, apple butter and added a scrambled egg to it. My significant other tried the chicken biscuit with gravy and an over easy egg. Both were HUGE when we go them and we were thankful we skipped ordering any type of side. The chicken was perfectly fried, with a crispy outside and moist flavorful inside. The biscuits were fluffy and baked to perfection. The bacon was delicious. Service was great, friendly and quick. We came back that same night for dinner, this time we were ready to try one of their burgers. We ordered one surf and turf burger (grass fed beef burger, horseradish cheese, blackened shrimp,) and one BBQ burger (grass fed beef burger, cheddar cheese, onion ring, Bacon, BBQ sauce). Both were cooked a perfect medium. Each burger was HUGE. The quality of the meat was awesome, no grizzly bits, no fat pockets, just a juicy burger. The cheese was perfectly melted on top of the burger. Each bite was better than the next. To top off the burger and fries I also ordered a S'mores milkshake. The staff is super friendly, including the hostess (whom, I'm not sure if she's the manager/owner, but she always came up during our visits and asked how our meal was, how we were doing, etc.). We came off season (Nov) so the experience may be different when they're busy. Soda menu was eclectic and fun. Everyone enjoyed picking something different. Food was fantastic. American Beauty burger was soooo good. The only issue is when you have a messy burger you've gotta down it vs take your time. No regrets. Fries were really good too. I visited today while I was in town for the holidays, and I was very disappointed. I ordered the onion rings as appetizers, but they were severely overcooked and had no dipping sauce. I ordered the Carolina burger as my entree, and it lacked flavor. We ordered chicken fingers for our kids, and they were fried dark/burnt. I sent them back, and new fingers were brought out in the same condition. At this point, we opted for cheeseburgers for them. I ordered the House Burger. Which features braised pork belly at a premium of about $3 to comparable burgers. However, the pork belly seemed negligible towards the flavor of the burger. I felt there was very little on the sandwich for the $3 extra it cost. The quality of the ingredients were good and it was still a pretty solid burger. I was just disappointed that I wasn't able to distinguish the flavor profile of the pork belly. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. This restaurant is within the hammock shops location. It is hidden in the middle. The building is an old house that was moved to the location. We sat on the patio which was great for the unseasonably warm weather. They had lots of local beers to choose from. My husband had the Nashville chicken taco special. The tacos were flavorful without being too hot. The fries were crispy and you had a choice of dipping sauce. I ordered the low country sandwich and I can't wait to go back and have it again. The root beer pork was so juicy and the Gouda was the perfect accompaniment to the biscuit and pork. Will be back next time I visit the area. read more

My favorite burger joint ever. We eat here every time we come to Murrells Inlet. I recommend it to any and everyone I come in contact with. Service is great. Food is fantastic. At the 5:00 minute mark I decided to head to the restaurant, since it was not far away. I was still on hold, mind you. This is a spot that we hit up every summer when we are in Pawleys Island. It is located in the Hammocks Shopping Center with plenty of parking nearby. They have a great variety of burgers to choose from and their garlic and rosemary fries are a must. I'm fond of it due to the type of meat they carry (grass fed, chicken, vegan). Unfortunately this wasn't our best experience this time around as our order got messed up. I will hand it to management for making it right. Be sure to give this spot a shot! read more

We stopped by Bisqit with our family of 12 for lunch today. We went in early and the restaurant was empty. The host assured up he'd be able to seat us when we returned. Unfortunately, upon return, we saw that the host had sat a table of 3 in the middle of the only tables he said could be pushed together in the restaurant. Again, the restaurant was empty and that group could have been seated anywhere. The group had finished but we're just lingering. We waited close to 20 minutes. The host was unconcerned when we said that we had to leave. I wonder how their waitstaff feels about him not accepting a table of 12? That's an awful big tip they are missing out on. read more

This place is charming and small. The food is top quality. They've changed their menu over the years and some of our favorite items have gone away but they still have wonderful choices. We were excited to try BisQit based on all the reviews. I'm sad to say it wasn't as good as we hoped. First I'll share the things we loved. Location is in the Hammock Shops and is such a nice stroll to get there. The building is historic and is the oldest of all the buildings here. It was moved in from an older part of the island. Service was fast and friendly. We sat on the patio and it was comfortable. Loved the wood slat vaulted ceiling. Loved the grits, although not served as hot as I like. Very tasty and worthy of 5 stars on their own! Now for what was just average. Surprising to us? The biscuits. They tasted good but had the texture of leftovers from the day before that had been reheated. No other meat offerings except pork sausage or bacon. So they gladly substituted the fresh fruit for my meat. Finally, the bad part? The cantaloupe in my fresh fruit was rancid. Our server apologized and said he would take care of it. When we got our bill we discovered "taking care of it" meant $2 off. Hardly the compensation for anything served rancid at a restaurant. This is a management issue, and not the fault of our excellent server. If we lived nearby we would give them another try. Their Spiked milkshakes sound intriguing. read more
