The staff there was very friendly. It is a nice place with bar seating and a lounge area with couches. There is free street parking in front of and near the lounge. There is also commercial parking garages nearby. I liked their signature cocktail menu. It has some savory drinks on the menu. I did my best to go through as many of them as I could. Their drinks were not only very good, but the bartender worked very hard on their presentation. I will admit that the drinks were not very strong, but were still delicious. It was a very comfortable spot, while I was there. However, as I was leaving and as it was starting to get dark, it looks like things started to shift. An armed guard was out front and security ramped up a lot. I did not order any food while I was there, but I will say that it looked good as it was coming out of the kitchen. My tab, be it during happy hour, was reasonably priced. I recommend checking this place out early. I was like Will Smith in the movie I am Legend. I was back in bed before the sun went down. It seems to get very hectic and a bit overwhelming at night. I hav learned that bars do not spend money on armed guards or police for nothing. There has been some issues in the past. With that being said, I really enjoyed my time there. The staff was gorgeous and the drinks were right up my alley. Here are the results: Entry fee $10 (not toooo bad but I didn't pay) - CHECK Drinks free for ladies before a certain time, and $10 afterwards - CHECK Very Loud ratchet music (all the Dirty South hits + Top 40 Hip Hop/R&B) - CHECK People ACTUALLY Dancing (not usual in MS area oddly enough)- CHECK Ratchet as hell - CHECK Great time dancing, chilling, and grooving to the music - CHECK My only con was the smoke. Lighters were flickering everywhere and suddenly my nostrils and eyeballs were filled with all types of smoke. Not to mention my clothes were done for. I left with a bit of a headache but overall it was a good time. I'll be back! I recommend to go at least once.

The JSU students really love this place; or rather it's the only place decent for them to go. I haven't been in about a year but the music is good, $2 drinks before 12am for ladies, and about $10 for admission. I don't go to clubs anymore, but Freelons is definately the best thing going on in Jackson, MS so far...
