This is a hip and trendy lounge. It has kind of an upscale fell to it. I came here early during happy hour, which ended at 8 PM. They only serve a limited menu during happy hour which included fries, wings and shrimp. The place has hip music playing and televisions above the bar that had UFC on while I was there. The staff there was very friendly. It is a nice place with bar seating and a lounge area with couches. There is free street parking in front of and near the lounge. There is also commercial parking garages nearby. I liked their signature cocktail menu. It has some savory drinks on the menu. I did my best to go through as many of them as I could. Their drinks were not only very good, but the bartender worked very hard on their presentation. I will admit that the drinks were not very strong, but were still delicious. It was a very comfortable spot, while I was there. However, as I was leaving and as it was starting to get dark, it looks like things started to shift. An armed guard was out front and security ramped up a lot. I did not order any food while I was there, but I will say that it looked good as it was coming out of the kitchen. My tab, be it during happy hour, was reasonably priced. I recommend checking this place out early. I was like Will Smith in the movie I am Legend. I was back in bed before the sun went down. It seems to get very hectic and a bit overwhelming at night. I hav learned that bars do not spend money on armed guards or police for nothing. There has been some issues in the past. I've always visited 4th Avenue during the nightlife scene but on this specific day, we decided to try out Happy Hour. Everything from the decor, vibe, and music is perfect. The energy put into executing the design was carefully thought out and from what I've researched, the market for this type of establishment was well-researched. With that being said, we'll start from the beginning. Upon entering the lounge, it's beautiful. Reminds me of a scene out of the movie, Hitch. Plush couches, ottomans, low tables, designated sections and even a beautiful bar. You must enter with a mask. They take your temperature at the door. We arrived right after they opened for Happy Hour which is from 4-7. There was one table of about 5 women..can't remember exactly..in the entire building. No one was at the bar. It was four of us so we sat in the large opened area. Our server, Dria immediately came to take our orders. We ordered drinks first. She didn't know the Happy Hour specials so she came back with her handheld and was able to tell us. It took an unusually long time for our drinks to arrive as well as our appetizers and then our entree. We were still the only customers in the building with the other ladies. The maragaritas are made from scratch and indeed "perfect". I highly recommend these! I assume due to the pandemic that the food is served in Togo containers. The pros are if you don't eat all of your food then it's convenient but rather kind of wasteful if you do eat all your food. ‍ As previously mentioned, the food took an unusually long time. Although the crab claws, shrimp, salmon, fries, and chicken pasta all came out piping hot..I'm just wondering what took so dang long? Chicken pasta had great flavor and is super soupy/saucy.. if you don't like saucy or soupy then you might want to stay away from this. You can taste the wonderful rosemary in the pasta.. not sure if it's from the chicken or the sauce. Crab claws were plentiful as well as the plump shrimp appetizer. The salmon was divine! Perfectly cooked--flaky. It had a Jack Daniels sauce that rivals TGIF. I honestly think the food is extremely overpriced. I'm all for hybrid cocktail lounge prices but I suppose when you don't have much of a competition (this applies to different types of business in a small city), you can set your prices however you want-- to cater to a certain type of market and/or to generate a lucrative profit. I purchased a section & we came for brunch and stayed until the day party started. They were short staffed with only one server on the floor so it took forever for our food and drinks to come out. Love the atmosphere! This is the best looking lounge that we have in the downtown. Very upscale and relaxed. I like going during the week (it's more casual with live music). On the weekends it turns more into a club scene. Staff is usually friendly, they can become overwhelmed on the weekend. Great for photo ops! I tried the salmon and rice and was disappointed. The salmon was dry and the rice was pretty plain. I'll probable stick to appetizers the next time I come. Drinks are strong which I love! Nice upscale venue in downtown Jackson that seems like it belongs in a big city with a strip of nice bars/lounges. The place isn't huge and being fairly new, it was packed. We had to wait a little bit for a table but were guided to the bar area and another bar to put in food and drink orders. Christian was our initial waitress and she was very pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. I love the outfits the waitresses wear too, I need that leather skirt! Any who, Barrett was our waiter at the table and he did very well. He was informative and his suggestion on the 4th ave beer based on what we liked had us ordering them back to back. Now those lemon pepper wings...they were mmm mmm good! I'd go back to get 2 orders. All in all, the music was on point, service excellent and good food. Disappointed!!!! Wanted to like this place but unfortunately frontline people (ie security) can ruin a business. So, a group of 3 women went there on a Saturday night and there was a line with hardly anyone inside, like they were holding the line to create a buzz. However, when a group of guys came to the front, the security who I assume knew them, let them in. This happened for 4 groups of guys. When we questioned the security about the practice he was immediately displeased that we had the gall to say something and went inside. About 5 minutes later he comes out and bypasses us 3 women and asked the group of guys behind us how many was in their party to get them in ahead of us. So we left! It was comical actually how petty he was being, however, he still represented that establishment and for his lack of professionalism, holding the line when hardly anyone was inside, and there was a $20 cover, our group will NEVER be going back. I came here for happy hour last week. They have a great happy hour with lots of appetizers and drink options. The food was really good. There were 8 of us and they wouldn't let us sit together because "6 or more people HAVE to be on the same receipt". That is absurd. It is so easy to split a bill on a computer. They were kind of rude about it and gave me a little attitude when we sat at the two high tops near the bar. This was my first time eating here after hearing about how great the food is. The place is beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We ordered fries, turkey sliders, and honey gold wings. All the food came out separately. First, the fries were lukewarm almost cold, bu the dipping sauce was great. The turkey sliders were good and juicy, it had a candied pickle that tasted like a sweeter bread and butter pickle. Lastly, the honey gold wings remind me of the honey gold in Memphis and were great. The food was pretty good & the customer service was amazing! We constantly had waiters & staff to check in on us to make sure everything was great. The crowd is very mixed (race & age). I am all for supporting local and rarely get impatient with service but this is my exception. 4th ave was by far THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. It was so bad I downloaded this app specifically so I could leave this review. My girlfriend and I decided to give 4th Avenue a try and order some food from there. They got my drink wrong, I ordered a beer and got a fancy cocktail. I let it go because I figured the server couldn't hear me. My food came out relatively quickly, which was also the wrong order. I once again let it go. We waited on my girlfriends food for a minimum of an hour and a half. I repeatedly asked the server where her food was. Never received her food. I had to get up from my table and track down our server to ask where our food as AGAIN. She said it was still in the kitchen. I asked for a check and to box our food up. I received a check a good 30 minutes later. I was charged $12 for a cocktail (that I didn't order) on top of our food and $8 fries. I was over it and just wanted to leave. It wasn't until another 20 or so minutes later I got the food runner's attention when he was serving the table next to us that was seated far after we were seated. He told me the hold up was the fries. I no longer wanted fries. We just wanted to get my girlfriends order and leave but also comped for our meal and drinks. We finally received our order. A new ticket that only excluded the fries.. I still want my money back 4th Avenue. Our server also never checked by to ask if we wanted any more drinks or if everything was okay. We were stuck there from 7:45-11:00 waiting on my girlfriends food. I want my $55 back. read more

I've visited this location twice and I've had 2 different experiences each time. When the venue is nearly empty. The service is exceptional. On the other hand, when they are busy, it's nearly impossible to get decent service. The venue is beautiful and it appears to be well kept. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with everything you need. The waitresses were below average and weren't working nearly as hard as the bartenders and managers. Aubrey, a member of management, did work hard to accommodate our group after having a underwhelming experience. His efforts really did change our attitudes about the visit. I had the bangin shrimp and seafood dip, both exceptional choices, and very well prepared. I also had some chicken wings and they were good as well. This place is known for craft cocktails, but we didn't see that shine through in the larger crowd. It felt like they were surprised that people were there and weren't prepared for the crowd. I patronized this establishment on May 4th, 2019 to celebrate my birthday. This was my first experience and it was not a pleasurable one. 1)The reservation process is quite cumbersome. The reservation hotline has specific hours listed (M-F 10am-5pm) but no one is consistently available to answer phone calls or respond to messages. 2) I had reservations scheduled for 8pm and 2 members of my party arrived about 7 minutes early. The hostess would not allow them in until exactly 8pm, leaving them to stand in the rain. The problem occurred when the hostess allowed their "friends" in prior to their so called opening time. Both members of my party witnessed this. 3) Their policy strictly enforces dress code on Friday and Saturday nights, and they specify no "snapbacks" or "athletic headware" is acceptable, but I saw approximately 4 males violating this policy. 4) My final complaint is when 3 members of my party were left in my section (after majority of my party, including myself left for the evening) were asked to leave MY section around 1am (the place closes at 2am per their website) because another party had paid for reservations. There is absolutely nothing in their policy that lists a designated time frame to occupy a section. This was completely out of order and was the absolute final straw. Obviously I will not be going there again, and most certainly plan to inform anyone who asks me about my experience. read more

I booked with them for my birthday. The date that I booked which was last Saturday the weather was very bad so I called to try and reschedule my reservations because of the inclement weather. They were not accommodating and I did not get my reservation fee back of $150. This is an example of why people don't book with black businesses. read more

Food and Drinks Are Nasty and Overpriced. My first experience was not good. I basically wasted $30 on uncooked, nasty food and dangerous drinks served in plastic SOLO cups. None of what my party ordered looked like their advertisements online. They dont have enough menus nor do all the employees there know their menu items. The building on the outside and inside look good which is what brings people to believe that they will have a good experience at this place. WRONG! They kept running out of food, sad bs explanations, no care whatsoever. Our expensive drinks were not even served correctly and I had a large corner of caked up, dried ice in my drink which if consumed, can cause problems with your stomach lining. I guess they expected me to just drink a continuously fizzing drink with 40% dry ice. It didnt come in the glass fish bowl it was suppose to and had things floating in it. I was too scared to drink it so i had to send it back. We had to speak to the manager more than once and no one was able to do anything about it. I may go back in a while to hope for a better experience but a few changes need to be made fr future success of this place. read more
