Kung-Fuze'd box with crab rangoons, spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, and fried rice all for $19.95

Came here yesterday with my husband and a couple of friends because we were craving Chinese food and sushi; Bistro Dragon did not disappoint! Upon walking in, we were seated immediately. The place doesn't look too special inside like the pictures on social media. You could barely see the lights in the back wall, and there were no tablecloths on the tables. It looks more elegant in the website photos than in reality. It was also like 100 degrees in the restaurant when we were there, so I think their AC was out on the hottest day of the year. We almost ended up walking out because the door was open, and all of the 115-degree heat was creeping in. It wasn't good for us, especially my friend who is pregnant. I can't imagine how the workers felt being there all day. Despite the heat, our service was great, and our waitress was patient and attentive. Because it was our first time there, it took us a little longer to figure out what we wanted, but she continued checking in on us. Most importantly, the food was amazing, and the menu is extensive and includes sushi entrées, Chinese food entrées, stir-fry entrees, and more! My husband, one of my friends, and I ordered Kung-Fuze'd boxes ($19.95), and we were so happy with our choices. With a Kung-Fuze'd box, you get to order soup or salad, an appetizer, 2 entrées, and a side (different rices). I ordered the miso soup, crab rangoon, the spicy tuna roll, the spicy salmon roll, and fried rice. Everything was DELICIOUS and well-prepared. The sushi had a perfect balance of rice and fish, and the crab rangoon didn't just taste like cream cheese like most places. Instead, it tasted more like the imitation crab mixture. Honestly, you get so much food for a great price, in my opinion. I ended up only eating half and saving the rest for lunch today. Overall, everyone I went with raved about how good the food was, and my husband and I vowed we would be back soon! We will probably skip the dine-in experience next time and will just pick the food up, though.

We were in the mood for a new spot, and needed delivery so thought it was a good time to try out Bistro Dragon. Food arrived quickly and fresh. Started with the Mexican roll which had a ton of flavor and just the right compliment of ginger and wasabi. 5/5 Next was the Haru Roll. This has tuna, salmon, king crab, asparagus, mango, avocado, and is wrapped in cucumber. Loved the freshness of the roll but found the cucumber wrap a bit cumbersome to eat. Still, very good 4/5 Last was the General Tso's Chicken, which had good flavor and packed enough of a punch, but not too spicy. We ordered fried rice but received white rice, so I have to knock a half point off. 3.5/5 Overall Bistro Dragon gets a 4/5 from me. I'd definitely come back for the sushi. Nice menu too, with lots to try.

Got a carryout order of crispy steak, orange chicken, and fried rice here and thought it was alright. The portion sizes were fairly large, in line with what you'd expect for the prices charged. The flavors were alright for me, not the best Americanized Chinese I've had but also not bad. The ingredient quality seemed to be a little better than average but I didn't care much for the flavor combinations and found that it overall lacked wok hay. Maybe it's a better experience when getting the food for dine-in, but when I had it shortly after carryout the entrees weren't really crispy at all and it felt a bit more saucy / watery than similar preparations elsewhere.

My husband and I ordered carryout from Bistro Dragon. We ordered online and our food was ready when we got there. We ordered the orange chicken and the crispy honey steak with one white rice and one fried rice. The food was warm once we got home and plated it. The flavor was pretty good with lots of veggies. The portions were large, and we have enough for lunch tomorrow. I recommend Bistro Dragon for good quality Chinese food.

And there is a good variety of sauces and seasonings to make my favorite dishes at home. The food court here is a definite must and the salmon sushi roll with soy paper we had was so fresh, the salmon was "like butter." And so it goes.. Parking in this small strip mall is usually pretty easy. It is a popular choice for lunch for many people that work in this business area of Elk Grove. I think that is because in addition to the good food, the service is not only friendly, but also very efficient. That allows you to have a nice sit-down lunch and still get back to work in time. They don't rush you, but you won't have to wait long for both the food and the check. Today I did have my delicious bento box, which as others have agreed, is a great deal for lunch. But I also splurged for a "Rock' n Rol" sushi roll, which was quite tasty. My waitress was wonderful - friendly and efficient as usual. But she didn't rush me personally. She even asked me if I wanted tea. In summary, it's an excellent choice for lunch. Good food, affordable, kind people, and a nice change from a fast food drive-thru.

If you're looking for the most authentic Japanese food outside the city, seems like this and a couple other places are all in the Schaumburg/Elk Grove Village area. Highly recommend hitting their lunch menu if you can because the bento box values are so worth it for authentic Japanese food/sushi. We got there at opening for dinner on a Saturday and got there just before dinner rush! This place is such a hidden authentic gem - you can tell from the decor to the choice of seating design to the actual menu and way they cook the RICE and other dishes. They serve the same grain for sushi as they do regular rice (Tamaki gold). Quality is not skipped here. We got the agedashi tofu (must get appetizer, as it's hard to really every achieve at home cooking), house special curry katsu, the beef kurumaya gozen (bento box) (which has incredible tempura, juicy soft beef), and assorted sashimi platter (I forget the name). All come highly recommended and were well worth the price point. I am just a bit sensitive about the freshness of the sushi, but I think this is probably as fresh as you can possibly get with generous cuts outside the city. Everything down to the miso soup too was delicious - best place to take your friends/family/coworkers for an authentic Japanese meal. Parking lot available out front. Recommend also stopping by Tensuke market nearby after!

Of course, we all know how "you HAVE to try this place!" recommendations can go... so I had to judge for myself. Well... they were right. First off, the restaurant was not crowded at all for a Friday lunch, which was great because they were able to accommodate our large group immediately without any issues. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in and stayed attentive the entire time, constantly refilling drinks and checking on us without being overbearing. Now let's talk food... because apparently our table collectively decided we were preparing for hibernation. We ordered EVERYTHING in sight. Sushi rolls, appetizers, specialty items , if it was on the menu, there's a good chance it somehow ended up on our table. At one point they delivered this massive sushi boat that honestly deserved its own entrance music. It was fantastic. The sushi itself was fresh, flavorful, and generously sized. None of those tiny little "one bite and it disappeared" rolls you get at some places. These were actual decent-sized rolls packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. Every appetizer we tried was delicious too, and you could tell the food was coming out quickly and efficiently because there were several sushi chefs working behind the counter nonstop. One unexpected bonus was the FREE self-serve ice cream. Yes please. My husband spent the entire week talking about how amazing the matcha flavor usually is, but unfortunately they didn't have it when we went. They only had strawberry and vanilla with the swirl option, which honestly was still really good. It's more of a water-based soft serve than creamy dairy ice cream, but it was refreshing and a fun little ending to the meal. The restaurant itself was also very clean and organized, which always makes a difference for me, especially at sushi spots. One thing to keep in mind: they do charge per piece/order of sushi, so if you go in starving like we did and start aggressively pointing at menu items, your bill can climb quickly. If you don't finish them. Overall, Sushi Edo was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great atmosphere, fresh sushi, fast service, friendly staff, and enough food to make you question your life choices in the best possible way. Definitely earned a 5/5 from me, and I'll absolutely be back. All you can eat lunch was $25/pp can't beat that! Will be back, and check them out please!
