Knowing that their focus is on their falafel I expected it to be good, but I didn't expect to be as wowed as I was! My falafel bowl came out first (super fast, might I add) and I went straight to dipping the falafel in their house garlic sauce-- it was the perfect snack. Although by the time the pita's were served I had already filled myself up on the falafel bowl, I still greatly enjoyed the unique flavors of both. The sabich pita relies primarily on the smokiness of the eggplant for it's flavor, whereas the falafel pita sees the addition of tomtato, cucumber, cabbage and tahini which greatly compliments the creamy, nutty texture of the falafel. The dishes at Falafel on Wheels are so hearty that it doesn't take long to feel satisfied, so I brought my entrees home for my friends to help me finish. Although Falafel on Wheels is a food truck I was lucky enough to score one of the tiny tables they place along the sidewalk, and I enjoyed watching other patrons stop by to chat with the business owners. It's clear that this spot has become a valley institution! Even though they aren't a brick-and-mortar, Falafel on Wheels still has a sense of community you might not expect from a food truck. Because the truck is stationed alongside the Bevmo parking lot there is plenty of parking, which means you have no excuse to not stop by! It's a stress free experience that's sure to satisfy.

The potatoes and corn soaked up every drop of flavor. If you've been to Boiling Crab, this is definitely playing in the same league. Service keeps things moving, even when the place is slammed. And it usually is. Every time I've been, there's a crowd waiting, which tells you everything you need to know. People aren't standing around for mediocre seafood. The restaurant is casual, lively, and exactly as messy as a good seafood boil should be. Grab the bib. Accept your fate. It's giving... Finding Nemo if the fish had one really bad day.

Got the special #2 with lobster tail, 1/2 pound of shrimp, sausage, corn and potato for around $34. I got a mix of mild and spicy Cajun for a good medium spice. The first thing I noticed was how much flavor was in the sauce. The sausage, corn and potatoes were all great. The shrimp was good, just takes a little work as normal with seafood boils. I would prefer an option without the head-on. The lobster tail was the only mild disappointment, due to the meat being a little tougher than I'm used to with lobster tail. Overall the food was pretty good and the service as well. I'd try it again to get the crab leg and shrimp special.

To be honest this spot came through so many times after a night of too many drinks and needing something to come back to life. Their tacos de burrito are so good and the tortilla is kind of fried, sirven bien doraditos los tacos, so they don't fall apart when you dip them in the consomé (broth). What I used to do was get a few tacos and a larger order of consomé and then use that broth to make ramen with and omg, so good! lol it was the gift that kept on giving. Can't wait to go back. They usually have tables as well so you're able to enjoy your meal while it's hot and go on your way.

The food is delicious and very authentic Tijuana-style street tacos done right. I've tried several items from the menu including the torta, quesadillas, tacos, dorados de birria, and carne asada, and everything has been flavorful and satisfying. The birria tacos are definitely a standout. Service is always great and fast, which makes it an easy stop when you're craving good street food. If you're in the area and want authentic Mexican tacos, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
