Almost fully vegan food truck (except for egg)
    Lakshmi C.

Awesome, fully vegetarian food truck! The falafels were exceptionally fresh and tasty. Got the falafel pita sandwich along with fried eggplant added -- it was delicious. This was the chef's suggestion when I explained that I wanted Sabich but without the egg... so he suggested getting the falafel pita with eggplant. Super helpful in making it vegan. Also I wanted 4 extra falafels for my toddler and the owner very kindly accommodated that and charged accordingly (as opposed to $6 for 6 falafels). It's a small and unassuming food truck, but mighty tasty and customer-friendly.

    Falafel - not spicy.

I love this place. I used to work pretty close and it was an easy lunch for me during the week. I would go at least once a week. Now I'm further into Studio City but will still make the drive when I have a longer break. Not nearly enough falafel for me these days. I miss them! Always made fresh when I order. Always super kind to me. I've been to the new location once so far but same great food so yay! Need to go back soon *drool*.

The food looks delicious!! I totally recommend eating here, 10 out of 10

Oh my God! If you want a taste of Israel right by you, this is the place to have falafel. This is the closest falafel I have come to Israel. It is the most delicious colossal by far and the owner and assistant are super super sweet the price dirt cheap! Yummmmy!!! Coming back like 100 times more! Amazing

I had the Falafel Bowl and it was very tasty. I like the crispy texture on the outside and the softness inside. They tasted great. The salad that it came with was super tasty. They do offer a variety of drinks for your choosing. I would eat here again.

The guys rock. Fantastic food, fair prices, and the two guys behind the windows are very nice and friendly. If you're going out for felafel you cannot do better than this. Yes, it takes a little while. Sure. Relax, it's totally worth it.

They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well.

I went there in the hundreds of times. I like this place, and appreciate that they keep their prices so low. I think the falafel bowl I had was $6 or something ludicrous like that. It was good, not great. I also had the veggie shawarma. I won't get that again. It was mushy, and when I go for that dish, I'm not trying to be healthy. I guess if I were vegan for principled reasons, I might appreciate that more....... It was one and done for me. Shout out to the workers there. It was Ce and Michelle. Ce is one of the nicest restaurant workers I've ever met!!! Total gem!

Well, to start off, I must admit I drove by this place about 10 times before I finally went in. All…read morethose times, I never saw people inside. Which I understand why. I finally went in today and sadly, was not only disappointed, my fantasy of Falafel King was destroyed forever. I know Benito used to work for Falafel King, but this place is nothing like it. The service was horrible. The guy behind the little counter was not nice at all. In fact he was rude. And didn't like if you asked him questions. But that aside, sitting in this little tiny restaurant was not a good feeling. We were the only ones there. They have a seating area outside, I'm guessing for overflow - yet, the table and chairs were right there in the middle of the restaurant. Piled up. They didn't even bother to take it outside. Put all that aside - we get to the food. One of the best things Falafel King has were the "chips", which were battered slices of potatoes that were deep fried. These were slices of potato, they were potato chips. Thin. No "meat" on them, if you know what I mean. And sadly, they were fried either early this morning or last night. Terrible, cold, hard, no taste - not even salt. We move on the falafel - which tasted good. The taste of the falafel itself was good, but the oil dripping down my hand an face was not. I blame that on the oil not being hot enough when he put the falafel into the oil. Next, the actual shwarma is not really shwarma (like you all know it). There was no revolving slab of meat where the fat melts into the meat and makes it so so special. No. This was a little baggy of already cooked meat with no spices on it thrown on the plancha and heated up. Hard and tasteless. Very disappointing. I picked it out of my pita and ate the salad with tehina and spicy eggplant (which WAS tasty). The pita is also a thin hard pita - not the nice fluffy type. I didn't finish my food, and my friend didn't finish the food, as you can see in the pictures. Sorry to give it a 1 - but to say you have ANY connection to "Falafel King" is a disgrace. Sorry if I sound brutal. I tell it like it is.

Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.) She was great. We will definitely be back at Dune soon!

Could be because it was Sunday and there was a Farmers Market nearby, but still something to consider. We ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). Portion was solid and the plate is actually pretty interesting -- lots of different sides (flatbread, greens, olives, pickled turnips, etc.), so it doesn't feel boring. That said, the lamb itself was just a few small pieces and it was ground. I would've preferred more actual meat Tried the rosemary lemonade too, but didn't really taste any rosemary. Just a regular lemonade, slightly sweet and sour. Also you pay upfront right after ordering. We sat outside on a small patio facing Glendale Blvd. It's a tight space, and at one point someone from the street was walking around nearby talking to themselves, which made the experience a bit less comfortable. Staff was friendly and service was quick though, no issues there. Also, no public restroom, so keep that in mind. Overall, not bad. I was hungry, so I finished everything pretty fast, but it didn't really stand out enough for me to make a special trip again.

I finally had the chance to stop in for a solo early dinner, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered the Lule Kabob Combo ($22), which included skewers of minced beef and chicken, rice, veggies, pita, hummus, and a side salad. The highlights of the meal were definitely the salad and the grilled tomato; the pomegranate seeds in the rice were also a nice touch. However, the meats weren't to my taste--the chicken had an odd aftertaste, and while the beef was better, neither really worked for me. Adding the provided sumac and lemon helped, but I wouldn't order the kebabs again. Additionally, the hummus lacked creaminess, and the pita tasted like it was mass-produced rather than fresh. On the positive side, the portion sizes are very generous for the price point, and I left feeling full. I also have to mention that the patio is adorable and very "Instagrammable," so it's a great spot if you're looking for a photo-friendly environment. A quick note for future visitors: they are currently having issues with their card reader and are requesting cash or Zelle. It felt a little unusual to be rung up on a register only to pay via Zelle, but it wasn't a major deal. While I appreciated the atmosphere and value, the food itself just wasn't for me, so I likely won't be returning.
