I have a problem connecting a photographic enlarger that runs on 220 in my darkroom. I called for consultation from Bit Electrical and offered to pay for help. Artists... I loved the team from Bit Electrical. They did high-quality work, were very responsive, and were pleasant to have in my house. The value was incredible, and they did exactly what I wanted exactly the way I wanted it done. I chose to do the work on a time and materials basis rather than fixed quote, and the initial work they did -- installing an upgraded circuit for a new range -- was $1500 vs. the fixed price quote of $7500 from another 5-star Yelp-reviewed electrician. They also routed the wires skillfully where I wanted them to through the walls and ceiling with a minimum of "holes" vs. another proposal to simply drill through my cabinets and leave wires exposed. They've installed new recessed lighting, extra receptacles, split some circuits (light and fan combined into separate circuits), installed internet cabling. They worked effectively with the City inspector, and were able to provide good advice on the topic of inspections. I learned that the prior electricians I had hired had not done everything to code. He recommended I call PG&E first to get the issue checked and if needed, he will be available for an emergency service. It was a quick fix for PG&E. I highly recommend Serge Electric because you can trust Serge with confidence! He kindly offered to reduce the cost of his visit because he fixed the problem so quickly. The plugs in our kitchen weren't working. We thought it would be a complex repair to the circuit breaker panel, but when Serge arrived, he found a concealed plug with reset buttons. He simply pressed the reset button, which fixed the problem. Normally, Serge would charge $180 for the first hour and $100 for each hour thereafter, which seems totally reasonable and similar to the rates of other professionals in this type of work. The reduced cost for his visit due to the easy fix is a testament to Serge's generosity, honesty, and integrity. I know I can trust Serge not to take advantage of my lack of knowledge regarding electrical issues.
