This was my first time coming to Bitty and Beau's! I got an iced toasted marshmallow latte with the spicy chicken and waffles, and my friend got the iced matcha latte. We experienced quick, friendly service, and the food and drinks were perfectly made! The workers were awesome and friendly and greeted us when we arrived. The ambiance was perfect, with nice music that was not too loud- most coffee shops are WAY too loud, but Bitty and Beau's strikes THE perfect balance! I will ABSOLUTELY be back. I saw a segment on Bitty & Beau's on the Today Show years ago and I'm so excited that there's a location in Columbus. A friend and I visited this week and it's a convenient location with easy parking which is always appreciated. The workers were so friendly and it seems like they love their job. We enjoyed our iced latte and tea, but the banana pudding Rice Krispie treat wasn't my favorite. I was surprised by the amount of food they have (chicken and waffles!) so I'll try something else next time. There was plenty of indoor seating and the vibes were relaxed and welcoming. read more

I was in Upper Arlington for an appointment and afterwards I found myself in desperate need of a coffee. I also brought my laptop with me hoping to get some work done. I hadn't been in the area for a while so I went to Yelp to see if there were any newer options for me to check out. That's when I found Bitty & Beau's and headed straight over. When I arrived I learned that this spot is a coffee shop, self described as a shop, "where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace." Their website shares that they employ over 450 individuals with disabilities nationwide. That is when I realized that Bitty & Beau's was actually a chain establishment with 10+ locations spanning from the Midwest and East Coast down to Florida and even Texas. I'm not big on chains, but this is one I can get behind. Very cool. A few things to note... It's located in a shopping complex, which means there's plenty of parking and other businesses like restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The interior is really dark and moody. That's not usually the atmosphere I look for when I'm going to work, meet someone, or hang out for a while. That said, I was able to find a table to prop up for a while. I had trouble with the wifi while I was there and didn't end up staying as long as I had planned because I really needed it. The staff was great! Super friendly, answered questions about their seasonal offerings, and all of that. We even got serenaded by a worker (All Star by Smash Mouth) and I couldn't help but join it. I'll also add that my seasonal lavender latte with oatmilk was $10 which baffled me. However, I did think it was cute that instead of a number to listen for when your order is ready, they would give you a playing card. I am always glad to have another local coffee shop to visit. Bitty & Beau's originally started in NC and has expanded to 11 states in the last ten years. The shop is recently opened in Columbus and they strive to provide employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities (their words). The shop itself has a fun, friendly vibe and a nice amount of seating. It was very clean and they have a selection of B & B merch for sale. On to the coffee! The iced vanilla latte was enjoyable. I would have preferred more vanilla flavor, but it was nice and cold with plenty of ice. In addition to coffee, they have a small selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. read more

This business is a chain coffee shop that tries to support the down syndrome community by offering positions to work. As a parent of children with learning disabilities, I see such value in businesses with this type of business model and always want to support such places which is what led to our visit. However our visit didnt go smoothly. We came in on opening day so I want to highlight that as opening days are chaotic everywhere. Aesthetically: The interior felt cold, stark - dark dark walls, lots of empty floor space (maybe needs a sofa or some more tables???) which did not yield a warm feeling most coffee shops have. I wasnt enticed to "want" sit down and stay with this decor Again: It was opening day. Its a new staff. Long line. Busy busy busy. Took a while to order. I get it. Learning curves. Yada yada. But if you arent a patient person or are in a hurry, maybe avoid for the first few weeks??? (Its May 4th) The menu has lots of options to order, which is nice. Big plus. They had ample merchandise that had good designs. Liked that. Our in-store experience: We order, we asked the barista "what do you recommend?"... she was very sweet but then her trainer immediately started to overtake the transaction. My issue wasnt with the barista. It was with the trainer as she herself wasn't paying any attention to anything I was saying. She kept rushing the poor girl at the cash register (due to the long line perhaps?) which I felt wasn't fair to this young girl who was doing a good job interacting with us. she kept telling the person what to key in the register. Thats usually good training But since the trainer herself was not paying attn to anything i was saying. she kept incorrectly telling the girl to ring up the wrong items... this chaos and decore zapped me out of the coffee mood so I nicely decided I wanted nothing. I tried to explain this patiently three times. indicating each time my husband did know exactly what he wanted and he was ready to order. But no. She wanted my order. Which I kept explaining I was passing on. My husband went to again order and he was cut off again by the same woman. It was how she spoke to us at that moment, too. Not rude but curtly and without hearing anything we had said previously which made us feel unheard. And not valued. Seriously. Ordering today was like trying to put toothpaste back into its tube. Bottom line staff way too green. They have too many kinks to work out. So we left. Coffee-less and minus 15 minutes of our life. Lol We want to support the cause but we couldn't this day. It was too frustrating Yelpers: Im sure they have nice drinks. BUT Id give it a week... maybe two- so they get their people more trained. However, I personally won't rushing be back due to how the supervisor spoke to my husband. read more

I've been wanting to try Bitty & Beau's for a while now, & I'm so glad I finally made it in! I ordered an iced latte, breakfast burrito and chocolate chip muffin. The servers were very friendly & efficient, and I got my order with minimal waiting. The latte was delicious, but the burrito wasn't my favorite. The chocolate chip muffin made up for it though, as it was warmed up and SO GOOD. I would come back just for that every day. It was decently busy for a Wednesday at 1000, but it wasn't too noisy and was very clean. Definitely will be back! read more

I don't know why I didn't take pictures of my coffee just to share what I got but the place is nice, big, clean and feel very open because of the way they use the space. When I visited, the place was empty (Tuesday afternoon around 2pm) and it was so cozy. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk and sugar free hazelnut which was delicious. My friend had pumpkin spice frape which was creamy, sweet and taste a very nice clove but not overwhelming. I don't like pumpkin spice anything but I really liked it when I had a taste! I really love the cause they are making and the cozy atmosphere. I didn't get to try any of the baked things but they have muffins, cake pops and few other items available. Finally made it up to Bitty & Beau's Coffee this afternoon. Cozy atmosphere and an all-around pleasant and positive ambience. Baristas greeted me at the door and conversed with me throughout the experience. They are charming, lovely people! I ordered a cold brew, which was perfectly smooth and didn't need any cream or sugar. It was so dark, I didn't notice the handwritten message on the side of my cup until I finished. "You are the best!" I especially love it because that's what my 7y/o daughter tells me all the time. read more

Super cute establishment had the best service ever with the most fun way to bring out our drinks everyone's given a card from a 52 deck. Your barista will shout out for example king of hearts and his card will match yours, the kind of hearts, then that's your drink. Super fun and easy. Def coming back. read more

I have heard about Bitty and Beau's but do not live near any! As someone with a differently abled adult in our family, places like this are so important and I'm so grateful I finally got to visit! Sarah was our cashier and she was extremely skilled at upselling to those souvenir cups! Our coffees were made deliciously! Staff was great! I ordered a latte and a couple of muffins. The latte was a typical latte that you get most places. I did find their muffins to be exceptional! They were flavorful and so light and airy. I don't get to that area very often but will be stopping by whenever I am in the area. Their mission to help those with disabilities is commendable and should be supported! Well done! read more

It was great! I appreciated the baristas who handled my specialty order. It was a nice place to work as well for a couple of hours.

We tried the rice crispies, a latte, frappe and a mango smoothie. All were super delicious, great vibe and love the concept!

The drinks and service were amazing!! If you have the opportunity to come here, you HAVE TO!! Great environment and a very friendly staff.

been here 3 times coffee is good chicken and waffles good......one thing I noticed there's no racial diversity here.....very disappointing!
