We got an iced coffee which was perfectly balanced and not too sharp (you know what I mean) and it was served with finely chipped ice which IMO is the best way to drink and iced coffee. My partner got a hot vanilla latte and it was rich and creamy with warm notes from the vanilla. Both drinks cost around $12, which is a decent price IMO. The atmosphere is supposed to be sort of kitschy and fun, but TBH it just made me feel like I was drinking coffee in my grandma's garage. I'm not taking stars off because the coffee was *THAT* good and the service was also excellent but I can't relax in a fabric chair from the thrift store. I don't care how cute it is. First, I want to say that I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The music was great, the space is beautiful, and the location is convenient and easy to get to. I originally ordered a latte and asked if they had a milk alternative. I was told they make their own oat milk in house, which sounded great. I then asked if they could tell me whether it was gluten-free. I ask this at every coffee shop because I have to avoid gluten, and I've always found that staff are happy to check ingredients or packaging when there's an allergy or dietary concern. Unfortunately, they told me they didn't know if it was gluten-free and weren't sure how to find out. Because of that, I decided to order a cold brew instead. About five minutes later, I was called back up and told they were out of cold brew. At that point, my only real option was a plain iced coffee. It was disappointing to visit a new coffee shop and not be able to order either of the two drinks I came in hoping to get. More than anything, I think this highlighted an opportunity for improvement. It would be helpful if staff knew the ingredients in the products they serve, especially when customers ask about allergens, and if inventory was communicated before orders were taken. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended. I wanted to love this place because it has a lot going for it, and I hope these are things that can be improved.

A friend and I visited this week and it's a convenient location with easy parking which is always appreciated. The workers were so friendly and it seems like they love their job. We enjoyed our iced latte and tea, but the banana pudding Rice Krispie treat wasn't my favorite. I hadn't been in the area for a while so I went to Yelp to see if there were any newer options for me to check out. That's when I found Bitty & Beau's and headed straight over. When I arrived I learned that this spot is a coffee shop, self described as a shop, "where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace." Their website shares that they employ over 450 individuals with disabilities nationwide. That is when I realized that Bitty & Beau's was actually a chain establishment with 10+ locations spanning from the Midwest and East Coast down to Florida and even Texas. I'm not big on chains, but this is one I can get behind. Very cool. A few things to note... It's located in a shopping complex, which means there's plenty of parking and other businesses like restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The interior is really dark and moody. That's not usually the atmosphere I look for when I'm going to work, meet someone, or hang out for a while. That said, I was able to find a table to prop up for a while. I had trouble with the wifi while I was there and didn't end up staying as long as I had planned because I really needed it. The staff was great! Super friendly, answered questions about their seasonal offerings, and all of that. We even got serenaded by a worker (All Star by Smash Mouth) and I couldn't help but join it. I'll also add that my seasonal lavender latte with oatmilk was $10 which baffled me. However, I did think it was cute that instead of a number to listen for when your order is ready, they would give you a playing card. Mine was the 10 of diamonds and it was ready rather swiftly.

The pricing was good, maybe even a little cheaper than the other more bougie options in town. I got an iced flavored latte with oat milk and it was strong... but that's exactly what I needed.
