I've been here 3 different times and each time coffee has been luke warm. The first 2 times they gave me fresh coffee hot and this last time they microwaved it. Coffee tasted bad. Do not come here. I came with my friend at 6:55 this morning. I understand they do not open till 7:00 AM, but when I tell you we waited until MANY minutes after and still nobody working. It was dark, all locked up. Do not say you open at 7:00 AM on the website if you don't. 7:00 AM open time is even on their front door. Unbelievable. It was a Monday morning and we were trying to support local, but nevermind. We won't be going back there again. I have given them much of my business as well. read more

Loved checking out this local cafe with gelato, coffee, and baked goods! It was located in a plaza in Powell and I never would have seen it if it was not for a friend suggesting we meet there. I loved all the lush plants and vases of fresh flowers on each table. The barista was super friendly and let us try a bunch of gelato flavors before we settled on coconut, peanut butter and chocolate, and pistachio. The pistachio was my favorite because it was smooth and yet had a strong flavor of the nut. The matcha latte was creamy but it had to be constantly stirred because of the matcha settling on the bottom. It would be better in the hot version. The cold brew was very strong! Good thing we had some gelato to go with it. Would love to try the baked goods next time! read more

I was glad to find this coffee shop after a soccer games at Liberty Park! I ordered their signature latte which was vanilla and cinnamon. I wasn't impressed at first, but then realized most of the cinnamon was in the bottom of the cup. A quick stir and the drink was excellent. I also had an egg and cheese bagel - it came with two different types of cheeses. It was very good! They also have bakery items and a good selection of gelato. Mr. Bean was a clean and relaxing environment with chairs/tables and couches. The service was quick and friendly. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back! read more

I stop by here anytime I have an appointment across the street at Skin & Sugar. The menu is almost overwhelming with all the syrup options, but I think I've settled on the maple spiced chai as my favorite drink here. The staff has always been super friendly when I'm here, and I love the decor with all the plants. It's a really cozy spot and if I weren't always on my way to work, this would be the perfect place to sit down with a drink, a muffin, and a book and read for a little. If you're usually a mocha drinker, and are especially fond of a richer chocolate flavor I might suggest trying something else here. I've found that I'm not crazy about their mocha syrup, and it's not that the mocha was bad because I still drank the whole thing it just wasn't great. But, other than that everything else I've ordered has been great! read more

This cute cafe is in a small shopping center and there are plenty of parking spots right outside. Although I didn't take pictures, there are seats outside and a water fountain. If the weather was nice, it would be awesome to sit outside by the fountain. There are many seats available inside and the place was very cozy and clean. A gentleman took my order with a pen and paper! They accept credit cards but I was surprised (not in a bad way) to see the old school taking order system (maybe I'm just too used to Starbucks). I ordered a cold matcha - the default is unsweetened which I love, but if you like it sweetened, make sure to ask for it! Although I enjoyed the bagel, it was almost $4 which I thought was a bit high. They also have 100% fruit smoothies, I'd love to go back and try that. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

It's a nice family owned place. They are nice people and it's not Starbucks there's no drive through or a fast pace regiment. It's casual place which is great to sit down at and you can pull your computer out and work there. The WiFi is good. I've gone a couple times now. Was in Powell today, so we decided to get another Pumpkin Spice latte from Mr Bean. The owners work the counter on the weekend and are very welcoming and nice. To be honest, I think they are the reason I like the place so much. The coffee is very good but not extraordinary - more like an a- b+. I ordered a pumpkin muffin. It was moist, not dry at all, which is a huge plus... I would bet 9 out of 10 people that like pumpkin bakery items would love this. However Im not a super huge pumpkin person... tbo I am trying to not be the person that orders exactly the same thing everywhere. Hence my pumpkin order today. Lol. it was too strongly pumpkin's for me. Plus it was also way way too big. I may be the only one on earth that also isn't a fan of huge muffins. Pumpkin things are always a hit or miss for me. Its a me thing, not a Mr Bean failure. I probably should of gotten the chocolate croissant, which looked crazy good. But that is my go too order. The atmosphere is incredible at this coffee shop! I was looking for a coffee shop to get some little tasks done this morning and to get away/focus on myself for a little bit. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two lovely ladies. One seemed to be training and the other was super helpful with giving her suggestions and directions. I could tell these were very polite individuals. They were quick to take my order and even offered suggestions when I didn't know what I wanted. The coffee was good, nothing crazy, but just what I needed. May start making it a weekly thing... I like to get my coffee, work, and then take a stroll around the area. I would highly recommend. I was quite excited when I saw that this was being built. I miss having local coffee shops to visit and try out. I have been here at least three times and can't recommend it enough. I have gotten the cucumber mint refresher and an iced latte, and both were delicious. The staff are all very friendly and create a pleasant environment. There is plenty of seating indoors and would be a good spot to sit and work. However, I couldn't get access to the internet, but I also didn't ask about it. read more

I went to Mr. Bean for the first time, and liked the looks of it with the windows and plants. We got our coffee, it was OK. I had a cappuccino (froth not great) and my companion got an espresso( is it normal for it to come in a giant cup?) We sat down and began our meeting. It was a bit distracting because the young man behind the counter was entertaining a young lady, all the normal high school flirty stuff. We were able to ignore it and then two more friends showed up. The really gaulling thing though was the young man whisked past us and announced the shop was closing. When we asked if this was the normal closing time he said, "we are closing right now." We left, and I checked the hours on the web site . It said they closed at 4:00. I frequently visit Skin & Sugar across the street and decided to visit today. I was so happy to find a new local coffee shop, especially in Powell. The inside is cute and cozy, especially on a rainy day. There were a few other groups in the coffee shop already and I didn't feel crowded. Pricing seemed accurate to other local coffee shops in Columbus. I enjoyed the white chocolate macchiato, never had that variation before! They also serve some bakery items.
