This is such a good place to introduce your kids to sushi because it's all on the conveyor belt and pretty affordable per plate so you can easily try many different things and if they don't like it, you can give it to the adult or whatever. my favorite is the spider roll at this location. Extremely disappointed in the accusatory and hostile staff and management I encountered here today. I placed an order on DoorDash and their staff told me my order was already picked up by a gentleman an hour ago. I explained to them that this was impossible as I didn't make the order an hour ago and provided proof of this. Instead of accepting the fact the establishment made a mistake, I had to firmly explain that I did not receive my order that I paid for. After waiting around for 15 minutes for my order to be made the manager tells me, "I'm not welcome back". I had also explained to him that I was a Software Engineer and unless the app was hacked, I've had my phone in hand and no one could have shown the staff the image below, "Show order details to staff". He offered me to wait while he cancelled my DoorDash order so I could receive a refund. He then told me, "I can leave now" to my back as I was walking away after explaining to him how a paying customer would expect to be treated. As a manager this was extremely unprofessional. He let me know he would be contacting the owner and I asked where I could contact the owner. I asked for his business card and he said the establishment was a restaurant and he didn't have one. I then asked to leave my number. He also sarcastically said, "I'm not a software engineer". Overall, I love the food here but will not be coming back due to the lack of professionalism and disrespect I was shown. I do apologize to the customers in the restaurant as they had to hear me strongly discuss and urge the establishment to satisfy my order that I was there to pickup. Edit: The manager told me I could get in touch with the owner by email. There's no email listed for the business. I would love to discuss this further with the owner. This is my first time in Seattle that's not on a military post, so I enjoyed this experience. It's your standard conveyor belt dining where you grab your own plate off the line, but the service is great with a comfortable atmosphere. The interior has great seating and space for parties of four, and we were sat up front near the register. I tried a bit of everything (that didn't have egg or pork), and it a was good for my expectations. The food was well priced (especially for Seattle--it was better than Phoenix prices), and our server Eva constantly checked on us while refilling our drinks and clearing our table. The food is charged by the plate, and off belt items are clearly stated in the menu. Eva even went over the items with our party since we split the ticket four ways. Inside is relatively small (probably a dozen spaces to sit - bar, table (both small & large), but the turnover time is quick once someone leaves. The monorail goes all around on the inside of the space, but has portions in the middle where the chefs are to make rolls & hand-off dishes. Our server was wonderful, just the right level of attentive. The food, however...each dish on the conveyor is 3.85 which seems good at first, and then you realize the rolls are smallish and you get 3, maybe 4 pieces in the dish, creampuffs are like the size of a half dollar maybe, etc., and if you come in during a quiet time, or at the beginning of a rush, there won't be a ton of product and it doesn't look super fresh. I don't think my boyfriend and I have ever felt so upset after eating a meal out.... I feel a little nauseated. The rice was not fresh, the avocado was browning, the seasoning on the seared tuna and salmon was gritty and powdery. The fish was not the typical vibrant color but was dull and a bit brown in some spots. The edamame had some pieces there were extremely dry and other pieces that were mushy and tasted almost moldy? We have been here in the past but it was not like this. I felt like I was eating two day leftover old sushi from a friend's refrigerator. We went at 2pm on a Monday so I am wondering if the quality is worse during slow times. I will say that the server was excellent and handled the complaints very well and did not charge us for the food that was bad. We appreciate her service. It is popular with mall shoppers because you can eat fast by grabbing plates off the belt or order additional items from the menu and linger. Those who are coming just to the restaurant may find parking and waiting for seating a challenge when the mall is packed. This is one of the few Kaiten Sushi restaurants that still runs the conveyor belt. They practice a unique concept of changing $3.75 for everything on the belt. The good is that depending on what you pick, it can be a bargain. The not-so-good is that they don't have much in the way of premium cuts as toro and different types of tuna. I used to go here often, but lately the treatment I've been given isn't good. I'll go in after my work shift around 7:30 and I'm told i can't be seated because they're closed... i looked at the girl and said hun you close at 9pm according to google and your sign! And she then stated her kitchen is closed, even thought i saw people being served? And again it's not 30 min before close... so why close the kitchen that early? Why lose customers? This has happened 4 times and i don't think I'll be going here for awhile. Management, please don't close your kitchen a hour or so before "closing", you are losing customers, most places close their kitchen 20-30min before close. I want to like BittyFish. It has a lot going for it. There are a lot of good vegetarian options and many choices for fish eaters. All plates are the same price, it's a conveyor belt operation, which is different than most places. I think that's where it falls down. Trying to provide the same value means all plates need to have different prices or a higher average one. Critique is that there is a lot of rice to main ingredient ratio. Where sauces are advertised it's lacking. Sesame noodles are one of my favorites. These were pretty dry. I hope they are able to make it work. I have visited Bittyfish at least 50 times, and there is a reason I keep coming back. First of all, the food is terrific. Whether perusing the belt or ordering from the menu, I have yet to be dissatisfied with my selection. Then there is the service - the staff consistently goes above and beyond to make the experience top notch. A number of times the manager - a well dressed young man - has personally come by to ensure our meal met all expectations. Finally the atmopshere is bright, relaxed, and welcoming on all occasions. I am greatly thankful that they label vegan items on the inhouse menu (please label them on the website) and let you switch to soy paper for an additional fee. On my last visit they were out though and I was pretty disappointed. We spend too much money here, but the plates are a flat rate of 3.50$ each, they just add up fast. They do have some tasty vegan rolls, like the Go Green Roll and my old standbys the avocado roll and inari. I really like the spicy edamame. I usually get the sesame noodles, lately I've been having the house salad. I think I've had all the vegan things on the menu now. I'd love to see some new items added some day. Not a bad place when considering it's Kaiten (conveyor) sushi. When zooming out of that frame, however, it's just alright for sushi. Place is better than Kura, which was recently all hyped up. Rating is simply because it's an average joint that doesn't exceed expectations. Most options here have a hint of spice on them, mostly infused with jalapenos in some way, shape, or form. Not overwhelming, just something to note. The rolls come with 3 or 4 and everything that's on the conveyor is priced at $3.50. The price? Not that good, but not the worst. The conveyor is definitely packed with common items like the California roll, Philadelphia, Seattle, etc. I'd suggest you just place an order for anything that catches your eye on the menu instead of wait. Double pepper roll is pretty tasty. I'd stray from the appetizers and rice bowls. The appetizers are extremely underwhelming. The karaage was unexpected; tastes and feels like a lightly coated fish in a way rather than a crispy, crunchy fried chicken. At the price point, definitely wouldn't try again. The rice bowls seem to be better, but they're loaded with rice to fill you up, which could be good for your wallet if it prevents you from eating smaller plates.
