I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. The ambiance is fast-paced and casual. You order from a tablet, and your food arrives via conveyor belt to your table. Most diners aren't here longer than 1-2 hours. It can get a bit loud due to close seating and the conveyor/robot activity, but it's nothing that takes away from the overall experience. As long as the food and service stay consistent, I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in the mood for quick, convenient sushi. TL;DR: Reliable spot for quick, good sushi with a fun conveyor setup. Also, I take people with kids here because the entertainment value is so high with the water delivery robot and the automatic track delivery system. It's a fun ambiance - like we're living in the future. My favorites are the seared garlic salmon, the french roll, and the negi hama roll. For the hot foods, it's hands down the oden udon and the chicken katsu donburi. Definitely highly recommended.
