I ordered Mixed Tempura Donburi, which unfortunately lacked flavor. I acknowledge that Japanese cuisine tends to be subtle, but the tempura was surprisingly bland, including both the shrimp and dipping sauce. The sushi rolls were okay. The restaurant's ambiance is such that it feels like you are dining alone, as the high-backed seating prevents visibility of other patrons, except for those seated next to you. Consequently, it is also impossible to see the staff. The restaurant utilizes technology to facilitate ordering and serving. Robot servers and automatic belt conveyers deliver orders to the table. Regrettably, it is challenging to request assistance from human servers. I dropped my napkin on the floor, and I was unable to request a replacement due to the absence of a call button, no option to order napkins on the tablet, and the invisibility of servers. This situation is unpleasant, particularly with soy sauce spilled on the table. I was quite frustrated. The constant overlap of loud radio music and zen music from the robot is not ideal. I would prefer it if the Japanese "Zen" music from the robot was played all the time, while the background radio station was turned off. The radio's energetic vibe does not fit with the restaurant's layout and atmosphere. Alternatively, using Zen music as background music and turning off the robot's music would be a better option. This is my opinion. I have mix uneasy feeling to dine here. I believe technology is most effective in a busy restaurant with adequate staff. I'm so sad. I just went there for lunch and I've been going to Sushi Hana for years. I walked in and was ushered to a table. So far so good. There was no instruction on how to order through the computer or if I should just order through the weight staff. I figured out how to go ahead and place my order through the computer and I received my order fairly quickly. I did, however, want to order a glass of wine, but the waitress never came back to my table at all. She never ever came back even when I was done with my meal. So I didn't order my adult beverage. The food I ordered was OK. Nothing special, nothing that I couldn't get from a grocery store. I had to go find the waitress to ask her for a box and so that I could pay my bill. When I said I had to go find the waitress, I literally had to go find the waitress. I walked around the restaurant to find her. The restaurant was clean and trendy. They did remodel during Covid. We've been going to this location for a long while now, and we still love the food. A big thanks to the kitchen and frontline staff for giving their best. However, we've been finding them get slower and slower lately, until tonight we waited about an hour past our pickup time for our takeout. The staff was super apologetic and we've learned that it's from understaffing. The management needs to do better or they're going to lose customers. If we were sitting that long, we would have cut our orders short and just picked up a cheeseburger. This is a huge miss and shame for how great the food and portions have been. read more

Been a fan of this location since I was younger. There's always parking and seating. I think it's interesting that they took the conveyor belt out and had robots and train cars. Servers were friendly. 6 of us fit in a booth. I think the tablet experience could be a bit funner. Like a wallpaper when you're not ordering so you don't have to see the running total and maybe a little "call server" button for those not facing the server. Food was great! It is mainly $5-8 for a plate (prices are going up) but tasted good and after ordering on the tablet it comes in a train pretty quickly. Absolute favorite sushi spot in the area!! All the food is incredible and well-priced. You order through a tablet at the table and can order more rounds as you go. There are lots of delicious non-sushi foods too like the vegetable tempura, gyouza, and salads. If you don't like raw fish, they offer so many delicious options with cooked shrimp or just veggies. They also have different selection of fatty sushi, which is a great option to have! Quality is great, and price is a little bit higher for a casual sushi bar... but the quality speaks volumes! This has easily become my favorite sushi place after my first visit. The highlights are taste, variety, price, cleanliness, and dining experience. A lot of the positives stem from the new monorail system the restaurant has. Each row of seats (around 4 booths) gets its own monorail. You order from the tablet what you want, it gets made in the kitchen and delivered to you in a clear container that goes down the rail and stops at your booth. The monorail system combines the benefits of belt sushi and off the menu sushi. You get about 3-4 rolls for around $5 in a plate. And 2 nigiris for ~$5. I like that you don't have to order full rolls since this allows me to try a variety of rolls instead of having to order just 1 or 2 per meal. But since it's also being made specifically as you order, the rolls taste fresh. The warm rolls and sides that are fried are delightfully warm when they come out. You also get the added benefit of knowing the sushi hasn't been sitting around on the belt for who knows how long. (which is nice while covid is still around) I really enjoyed everything that we ordered. All the seared salmon dishes, nigiri & maki, melted in my mouth. The shrimp tempura & calamari were nice and crispy. And all the rolls had their own distinct tastes instead of tasting all the same. My favorites were the Vegas roll and the Crunch Philly roll. Which is surprising as I don't usually like cream cheese in my rolls. I think the fact that the cream cheese is warm when it comes out really sealed the deal for me. Ever since Covid, Sushi Hana has changed to be a monorail sushi restaurant instead of a conveyor belt sushi spot. HUGE difference in the quality and freshness of the sushi - it is now one of our favorite places and we come here for special occasions with our kids all the time! Tonight we came with my sister and her family for my daughter's 8th birthday. My 4 year old son got too big of a bite of part of his sister's California Roll and he started choking. Not just sort-of choking, but a prolonged, scary experience. I was beating him on his back and we were about to need to do the Heimlich maneuver. I was in a state of panic - I am trained in CPR and choking/first aid, but I sort-of blacked out during the experience and it all seemed to go in slow motion. Our server, Jay, jumped into action and came into our booth, ready to perform the Heimlich if necessary. He actually started lifting my son up to do it, but then he started coughing more normally and was able to speak. Jay informed us that he is a pre-med student and was totally ready to do whatever was needed to help our son. Our food was great, but Jay went far above and beyond tonight and we are truly thankful for him. Thank goodness that our son is OK. We will be back and we so appreciate you all! read more

You basically order from a tablet and they deliver the food with a conveyor system. There is almost no interaction with staff, besides paying. We ordered a mix of our favorite rolls and hand rolls and noticed overall, that the portion and roll size is on the smallish side. The prices are also up there for the amount you get. The rolls were all ok, the standard rolls were done well, we didn't care for the shrimp tempura filled roll, the shrimp tasted like it was pre-fried a while ago. They also charge for spicy mayo in the condiments section of the tablet. We would normally always get a plate of eclairs, but decided to skip, it's almost $5. Well, if I'm in the area and short of other options, I could see myself stop in again. Our Father's Day lunch experience here was nothing short of fantastic! The food is incredibly fresh, flavourful and surprisingly more affordable than many sushi joints in the area. Bonus points for the creative sushi "monorail system" that sends food directly to your table. Ordering was a breeze from the tablet at our table and even though mostly everything is automated, our server provided prompt and light hearted service the couple times we needed him. In terms of what we ordered, we got the shrimp tempura, spicy crab gunkan, salmon sashimi, seared salmon nigiri, inari, spicy salmon hand rolls, fire bender roll and miso soups. I have watched it decline over the past couple years, and it is now at the point where I won't be going back, and I recommend you go elsewhere as well. The price is now higher than other nearby sushi/Japanese food, while the quality is lower. The variety has decreased, and the atmosphere is colder... while the cost/value has had me questioning eating here, the decline in service combined with aggressive fees put the final nail in the coffin. While this is a relatively petty complaint, it is emblematic of the problems here: I was eating here with two other people and some friends happened to enter the restaurant. They sat at the table adjacent to us, we worked to enjoy our mediocre and costly food, and then we were all charged and automatic gratuity... do your self a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I used to come to this location for quick mediocre conveyor belt sushi when I lived in the area. This was my first time back in years since they've updated & renovated to the new robot/ monorail system and I was impressed. My husband & I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and though we love the Lynnwood Sushi Hana, we both felt like the food was better in quality and freshness here so I was surprised to see how empty the place was. We ordered some of our regular favorites: the tempura udon soup was incredible, with a deeper umami flavor & more greens than Lynnwood's. The calamari portion was bigger and made to order. The tamago egg of the house roll was a little overcooked/ burnt, but didn't affect the taste so I can't complain. Overall the place is clean, the food always hits, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. Note to self: I'll need to make the trip to this location more often. read more

The server, Lissa, explained to us how to order (via the tablet) and how the food came to our table since we've never been there before. Super friendly service and it was much appreciated! For two of us we ordered 2 Spicy California, 1 Veggie Tempura, 1 Garlic Lover, 1 Crunchy Spicy Tuna, 1 Spider, 1 Washington, Squid (2 pcs), Seared Scallop (2 pcs), Inari (2 pcs) and 1 Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream. There were 4 pcs in all the sushi rolls. My personal faves were the Inari (fried tofu filled with sushi rice), Garlic Lover roll and the Veggie Tempura roll. Came back for the first time since COVID shutdowns, and didn't know they remodeled to take out the conveyor belt. Now you place your order on the iPad at your table, and a little mini-car delivers your order on a rail system. Seemed to work pretty well for us, because before I felt like I had to flag a sushi chef or waiter to get our custom orders in. The food came out quickly even with other tables who shared our "rail". I wouldn't say it's the best sushi in the world, but it definitely satisfies a craving. Finally found a good sushi establishment near our area. We used to go to Woodinville to that conveyor belt sushi restaurant but they changed ownership and it has never been the same. Great place to grab a quick meal! It was my first time so I was a little confused about how it all works. Basically you get seated then you order via the table top computer. The food comes out on a cart. When you are done with your meal you need the waiter to bring your check. Overall, I thought this was a great little place to grab a quick bite. I wanted to update my review after Sushi Hana finished their remodel. The updates they made to the restaurant are modern and clean. There's more booth seating so you can enjoy your dinner with your group at a table vs. the bar. I think the new layout helps with turnaround time on ordering and the conveyor belt helps with a quick delivery of your sushi. I've been going to Sushi Hana since they first opened almost 10 years ago and the quality of the sushi always remains the same - fresh and delicious.
