Food was awesom!! can't believe it's actually better quality and cheaper than the sushi chain across the street. Everything tastes fresh, nothing frozen so the fish texture's perfect. Definitely coming back.

This isn't a big place. The menu is good but definitely not exhaustive. However the sushi is all very fresh and perfectly balanced. The service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place

The food (sushi) is very good. The service is good too. The ambiance is a Japanese cuisine. It's a small place, but the food is delicious. I will come back to dine here again.

A really excellent sushi/teriyaki restaurant in Lynnwood! Came here with my girlfriend after work one day for an early dinner and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and overall great experience. The sushi tasted fresh and the hot food was very tasty. The atmosphere was quite nice and the entire restaurant was very clean. This place is located in the same shopping center as H mart but closer to the America's Best glasses place. I really recommend if it you want above average teriyaki and sushi for good prices.

After seeing the rave reviews, I decided to try this spot out. I was there before dinner hit and the restaurant only had one other table of 2 people. I ordered the Sunshine Roll, which was a California roll topped topped with spicy ahi tuna and the salmon roll with avocado. Not only was the meal very disappointing, but the service was equally disappointing. The staff did not seem concerned in taking my order and following-up about the meal. I had to get the staff's attention when it came to ordering and grabbing the check. I landed up not finishing everything because the fish tasted old and spoiled. I was so frustrated with the service that I didn't even bother to address how poor the quality of their food was. The next day I had a terrible stomach ache. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment.

Ever have one of those annoying Mondays, add in pouring rain to amplify it, and all one wants is to take a time out and get away. (No segue to a Calgon or Southwest Airlines commercial?) Well somehow I found myself at Sushi Misoya and decided maybe this first visit will help me chill out. At this establishment there is the no frills, but efficient customer service. Decent quality Japanese cuisine. There was only two people doing essentially everything (tipped above 20% for their efforts). With my crabby attitude, just as well I'm being left alone to focus on the meal. Stuck with plain cold water (no refill provided). A bowl of piping hot miso soup was also provided. I had to cool it closer to ambient, but it had decent flavor with the tofu cubes concentrated at the bottom. The sushi combo I selected had half a California roll and five generous pieces of nigiri sushi: kana/salmon, ebi/cooked shrimp, hamachi/yellowtail, tuna, and unagi/eel. This was followed with the tempura comprised of two fried shrimp and vegies. Vegies like broccoli, onion, potato, sweet potato. The lunch combos, bento boxes, nigiri sushi, noodles, and assorted rolls provided a large variety to chose from. Decent value and quality. Worth returning!

A lot of options on the menu but I ended up ordering their rosu katsu with oroshi ponzu sauce (basically grated radish and ponzu on the side). This was a good choice as I was able to try their tonkatsu with the grated radish ponzu sauce and alternate with the regular tonkatsu sauce that's provided on the table. Only thing I wish they did was provide unlimited cabbage salad and rice which other tonkatsu places I've been to did. Parking was easy. Just use the retail parking lot located at Ember Apartments (parking entrance is off 40th Ave W). If you need to wait, there's always He Cha Lou next door.

So they must have ironed out opening kinks because we had a better experience this time around. The katsu we ordered were all good. The rosu pork is my preferred cut, because it is a little fattier than the tenderloin. It was tender and crunchy outside. I loved the grated radish. One of us got the salmon katsu and she loved it. It was a thick slice, but it looked moist inside. Our server was really nice and knowledgeable with her suggestions. The food came out without much wait, even if they were about 80% full. The server was attentive, always asking us how our food was and refilling our ice waters. Love the space and tasty, simple decor of this restaurant. There's covered parking attached to the apartment complex above. This place is surely comparable to the other katsu places here in Seattle. I'm glad it's in our neighborhood.

We came in the evening after day 2 of Geekfest and it was pretty busy inside. Luckily there was a spot open for two so we were seated and given menus. The inside is a bit dim, there were lots of tables with chairs or booth seats throughout, and there was even bar seating as well. My boyfriend ordered tonkotsu ramen and crunchy salmon roll as well as takoyaki to share while I got their red volcano tonkotsu and a Thai iced tea. I noticed there was a Japanese customer who spoke with one of the waitresses and she spoke Japanese back and it was cool to see and hear that! I wonder if the owners are Japanese as well as it's rare to find actual Japanese owned restaurants. The service here was friendly, courteous and they did check in every so often. The choice of music playing was quiet cafe music which was interesting but it was so hard to hear. My Thai iced tea came first then the takoyaki. Afterwards, our ramen bowls came not too long after that and the sushi roll came in last. I am so happy to say that the takoyaki was the perfect ratio of batter, octopus, and sauces on top. The ramen broth was hearty and smooth. I loved how spicy my red volcano tonkotsu was especially because I love things extremely spicy and it was definitely a fantastic ramen for spicy lovers. My boyfriend said he was very happy with his roll and ramen. He usually doesn't order ramen too often especially on a hot day but he said he was happy he did as it was one of the better ones he's had. My Thai iced tea was the right amount of sweetness and the perfect thing to sip on while handling my spicy ramen. I definitely want to come back to try their other selections.
