Unfortunately, the material/coating on one of the arms began rubbing off, causing irritation and a skin reaction where the glasses sit. I returned to the store in person to report the issue. I was told the glasses were simply too tight and that loosening the arms was the only solution. I was not offered a replacement, further inspection, or any real resolution. Months later, I am now seeing a doctor because of the reaction caused by these glasses, and I can no longer wear a pair that I invested over $600 in. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. For a luxury brand like FENDI, I expected better quality control and better support when a customer has a legitimate issue with a product. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that customers are treated with more care when a product causes a problem.

She answered all my questions and reviewed both my sun glasses and eye glasses, as I explained they were different prescriptions and I preferred the sun glasses for driving. She explained the differences and recommended progressives for dominant hand glasses to expand the progress area. I'm looking forward to them arriving!! Then I moved on to picking my glasses. I was a bit sticker shocked with all the high end brands, Burberry, Prada, Versace, etc. but in the end, I paid what I normally pay for glasses. They pre checked my insurance information so I knew what my coverage was going to be. In the end I pick a lovely pair of glasses. They should arrive mid next week. Karla was awesome!!! She was patient with me and made some great recommendations for glasses. She explained why I didn't like my current glasses, the bridge on nose is too wide (17), 15-16 work much better!! And she was right!! I was happy to have someone help who understood what I needed. I'm Soooo excited for the new glasses to arrive. Next time I'll get some sunglasses. I got an extra print out of my prescription, in case I want to buy them elsewhere, but I like their service and staff here.

Dom was also great about helping me look through various frames (they have some nice ones in store), and helped me out with tightening up my existing frames. I've been a loyal customer here since the Dr. Finch days and the era of the incredibly cool Dave. Even though Dave has retired and his wonderful daughter Jamie now runs the business from behind the scenes, you can absolutely still feel their standards living on through the staff. I walked in fresh from my 'bad breakup' with that other place, and Lex immediately swung into action. She actually repaired my old glasses on the spot (new nose pads and a tighten-up) so I had something to wear while waiting for my order. Then she whisked me over to the contact lens specialist (I am mortified that I forgot your name--please forgive me, I promise to get it right when I pick up my order!) and then to Kim, their amazing Optician. I ended up going all in: transition lenses with new frames AND prescription sunglasses. The whole experience reminded me why I loved interacting with Dave all those years ago. Lesson learned: You can't put a price on this kind of care. This is why supporting local, family-owned businesses is so important. I'm back for good!

However, I recently had two instances that were not respectable of my time. A new staff member called on a Thursday to tell me my glasses were ready and that they could be picked up that day or the following day Friday between 10am-5pm. To my surprise, the establishment was not open at 10:45am which was after the said time of 10am. I waited a half an hour and had to leave. I was contacted after leaving a voicemail, and as a courtesy, my glasses were forwarded via courier to my place of work. I then decided to schedule an appointment for my daughter, but the website was inconsistent with the actual hours of operation. A call was placed to schedule an appointment for my daughter and reached the new staff member that had previously provided incorrect hours of operation. However, I proceeded to make an appointment for my daughter which was for 4/16/19 at 4. Upon my daughter arriving she was told her appointment was for yesterday 4/15 and that she was a "No Show". Twice there was an issue with the same person's incorrect scheduling. The initial impression was great but fell short.

I went on a Wednesday, and there was a sign that said they would be open at 1:30, and no one showed up to open the store all afternoon. The glasses cost a lot of money for the lenses and frames - you would think they would come back quickly and made correctly so I wouldn't have to try coming back to get them fixed. This business seems shoddy to me - it's deceiving because they are in such a nice location, and the prices they charge are so high.
