Dr. Karalekas has proven to be a very competent and caring physician. She was recommended to my by…read moremy optometrist after I became very disenchanted with the ophthamologist that I had been seeing. Dr. Karalekas is an excellent listener and has a great "bedside manner". Her office staff and assistants are also very caring and attentive. Dr. Karalekas does have a busy practice but wait times are not excessive. But more importantly her staff is attentive and makes sure that they go out of their way to pay attention to you during wait times. My wife has also become a patient of the Dr. She has had cataract surgery in both eyes this year. Both procedures were very successful and she is quite pleased with the results. I would recommend Dr. Karalekas to anyone in need of such care. One final note; the previous Dr. that I became disenchanted with had his practice in Worcester, a much closer drive then Dr. Karalekas' Marlboro office. However, Dr. Karalekas also has a satellite office in Worcester, which I can usually use. However, I do not hesitate to travel to Marlboro when needed because her services are well worth the additional travel.

Unfortunately due to other commitments, I had to delay till next day and Silvia was very accommodating. I had a great experience at Goswick Eye at the Northborough location!…read more All I knew was I neglected my vision for too long, I always drove by Goswick with their iconic Eyeball Sign, I saw they carried designer frames and booked an Appt online quick and easy! My insurance would pay for $180, with stipulations for an additional discount if I got 2 pairs of frames with lenses. The space is very clean and modernized, the Staff were all very professional and friendly, and I didn't get their name but the gentleman who performed my actual eye exam did such a good job! He was patient, taking his time, happily answering all my never-ending questions, re-doing and re-doing different lens strengths when I seemed unsure, going above and beyond to let me make sure my vision exam was as accurate as possible! I truly hope he winds up going far whether at Goswick or having his own Optometry practice, as I couldn't believe how much my vision improved with his help in getting an up to date and accurate new prescription! The selection of glasses is great, however I got the feeling they didn't want customers trying on and browsing the frames without being accompanied by Staff, which is understandable as there were maybe 8 other customers and they are high end designer frames. Although I would have loved being able to see and try on different styles, I didn't mind as the female Staff who was managing the floor was incredibly kind and helpful. I couldn't believe my luck, I went in only knowing I wanted a designer frame that could be both masculine and feminine, something without sharp angles to soften my face, but also professional. The first frames I tried on were exactly what I was looking for! I could not have found a more perfect eyeglass frame, ombre blue to a transparent violet and rounded edges. Goswick Eye 5 Stars

Business is generally clean and staff is professional but a fair amount of issues over my several…read moreyears there. First off, my prescription hasn't changed for about 5 years and every year I pay 60$ for the right to renew my contacts with nothing more than a question of are my contacts working out ok. I've questioned this fee and what I get for it and their justification is that insurance reimburses part of it which legitimizes it. I've polled friends and many other practices don't charge this while some elect to. Second, I've had issues communicating through email. They at one point told me I could renew contacts through email and then subsequently told me to call. Most recently I got a call back after my appt saying they misquoted a contact fee and needed to bill me an additional 200$. Also an ophthalmologist was in the practice when I was there asking to speak to Goswick who the staff said never was on site and remotes in from New York periodically, given the number of practices locally i don't love that the owner is absentee. All in all, they got the job done and individual staff are nice but their lack of attentional to detail and random fees are major detractors. Will give them another chance since it's convenient but I'd like to feel less like I'm getting Nickel and dimed left and right.
