Although, pretty much everything that could have gone wrong with our rental did, the company made it right. Delivery was delayed, when delivered, it didn't work, equipment arrived the second time and we were given no instruction and on and on. The office went above and beyond what could be expected to make our situation right we are sooo impressed with the customer service that we wouldn't hesitate for a minute to do business with them again. These guys are great! Seriously, I call to reserve what I want - if they don't have it they call one of their other locations and it's there when I need it. One time I needed a fork lift for 2 hours and negotiated an amazing hourly deal with them. Who else would do that? Always good natured, and great customer service! The gentleman at this location are extremely helpful . I was doing a big plumbing job at the water company down the street and it was so convenient having them there to rent all the equipment I needed.On the last day the manager even waited for me and extra 10 min or so after closing so I can return the excavator I rented ( Who does that!!!). Really nice guys-- possibly the best price for propane in Ramona, $3.25/gallon in December. I called to inquire about propane price at 3:30 on a Saturday. The manager told me the price and then told me they close at 4 on Saturday, but if I called to let them know I was coming over to the store, they would stay open a few minutes late for me. I got there a few minutes before 4 to get my propane... As I drove out, I noticed beneath their sign in big red letters, "under new management." PostScript: They do not have the cheapest propane -- that honor goes to Valero gas station, which has the worst staff/customer service but the best price on propane. I called earlier and spoke with an extremely helpful individual who genuinely tried to help me out. Long story short I wanted something early am but they couldn't help me out until the pm due to the equipment being rented (no big deal) after a few failures of other options I called back and spoke to "Jim" who was the rudest, most unhelpful individual I have ever seen in a service industry. Jim not only told me that he didn't want to try to help me out as he was about to go home he told me to call back tomorrow when the other gentleman was there. I don't know if Jim was management or a very poor employee but I WILL NEVER RENT FROM BJ's again. Piva equipment helped me out within 45 min of my call. BJ's is simply horrible read more
