I absolutely enjoyed my lunch at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. I had the $13 chicken sandwich and pizookie meal. The sandwich was juicy, crispy and had the perfect crunch. But the star of the show was the free personal pizookie that came with it. I needed " a little something sweet" and this fit the bill perfectly. The ice cream on the warm cookie took my lunch experience from 7-10 very quickly. This will be my new lunch spot. I sat at the bar because it was very crowded so be sure to plan ahead for seating in the main dining area. The ambiance was casual and a bit loud. Stopped in on our way to CT. Staff said wait time was 10-15 minutes for two people, try 3 minutes! Waiter was friendly and FAST as well. We ordered sliders and the kickin chicken sandwich. Came in before the big snow storm and ordered mild wings as an appetizer. They were some of the best I've had in the area. I ordered a half rack of ribs which were delicious and a tri tip sirloin steak as well. The steak was exactly what you'd expect for a $3 add on. I wasn't even asked how I'd like it cooked. It tasted like liver. Skip it at all costs. Our server was amazing and so friendly. The beer I ordered was their flagship IPA which is decent. My wife ordered a margarita which was delicious and balanced. We also ordered the Mac and cheese bites app which was great. We stopped off for lunch before Dorney Park. We order the appetizer trio of the giant pretzel, chips & guacamole and mozzarella sticks to start. The pretzel and cheese sauce was amazing. The guacamole was a bit on the bland side but not bad. Mozzarella sticks were great. My son and I split an order of wings and the garlic shrimp with toast - it was all amazing!! The new honey bbq and hot honey bbq sauces were awesome. These were literally some of the best wings I've ever had. I also had a wedge salad. Way too much food but that my fault. The piranha beer was the perfect complement. My daughter got pasta and my husband had a crispy chicken sandwich. Our server Jennifer was great! Super friendly and so sweet. We love this place and try to eat here whenever we go to Dorney Park. It's nearby, nice atmosphere, quick service and excellent food. Amazing value and giant portions for the money. While working in Allentown, PA this week, my coworkers and I returned to one of our favorite spots we always make a point to visit when we're in town. As usual, the restaurant was busy, but the hostesses were friendly and seated us right away, which was a nice start to the evening. The menu here is huge -- honestly, you could probably come every day for a month and still have new dishes to try. The drink menu is just as impressive, with a great selection of options, including beers they brew in-house. The space has a lively atmosphere with a bar area, high-top seating, and regular tables, so there's something for everyone depending on the vibe you're looking for. Our server was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed or had questions about. I decided on the slow-roasted wings with their newly featured honey hot sauce, along with a side of fries. The wings were top-tier -- flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The honey hot sauce added a great balance of sweet and heat. Unfortunately, the fries were cold by the time they reached the table. I didn't mention it to the staff since I figured it might have been due to how busy the restaurant was tonight. That's really the only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5. I went to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse and the experience with our server Omar was honestly terrible. At this point I'm tired of the open racism and being treated like I'm invisible in restaurants. We sat at the high tops near the bar and waited several minutes with no menus, no water, nothing while Omar catered to every other table around us. I finally had to ask him for menus myself. We ordered an appetizer and after making us wait 10+ minutes, he finally came back just to say it was unavailable. We then ordered a ginger ale, burger, and honey buffalo wings. The soda took forever and every refill after that we literally had to go to the bar ourselves because Omar never checked on us. Then the wings finally came out with no honey buffalo sauce because apparently they were out of that too. No apology, no urgency, nothing. When we said we didn't want the wings anymore and wanted to order something else, Omar just walked away without bringing a menu or asking if we wanted a replacement order. Meanwhile he continued catering to the other tables around us. The burger finally came out cold after sitting forever, but thankfully the manager Michael stepped in and completely changed the experience. He handled everything professionally, got our replacement pizza out quickly, and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you so much Michael because without him this review would've been even worse. Have done online ordering and have had items missing in the past that I then had to go back in for. This time, I ordered several items including chicken parmigiana. When I picked up my order they didn't say anything but I always check quantity and was missing the chicken parmigiana and a kids side. After going back and asking about it they said they ran out of the chicken parmigiana, but again it's only if you noticed it on your own. They never told anyone else including another order at the same time. I then asked to cancel the entire order and was told that it was not allowed to be cancelled. They then said that I could substitute something else no charge, but with it being a pick-up order I wanted to see what the person wanted who was not with me. They said they would take my number and I could call back. When I called back and asked for spaghetti and meatballs they said that they refunded the portion of my meal of the chicken parmigiana and I would be charged full price for whatever I decided to order. So no compensation at all for the inconvenience of the hassle of not having something I ordered. This is not good management or service and again missing items has happened on several pick-up orders but thought it was still worth it. For this last time, it's definitely not worth it. read more

Haven't been her for at least two years! Last visit was horrible! Ordered a burger they used to have on the menu, bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, apparently they already had the ingredients to make it! It cost 12.99 but when our bill came they charged me double the price 25.00 for one burger! Unless that meat came from heaven there's no way I should be charged that much for a burger like that! Manager tried to give us a break but ended up still had to pay that super high ptice! That's when we decided not to go there anymore! I had a gluten free pizza that tasted even better the next day. The mocktail (which I had ordered previously at another location) was made well with every ingredient which was nice. Our waitress told us it was her first day. She was very sweet. We ordered appetizers which were brought out the same time as our dinner. The spinach artichoke dip was warm and soupy. I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich. What was served to me was a Chicken on Flat bread. I believe it was the manager that happened to be walking by when I told my friend this is not what I ordered. He quickly took the wrong order away and said he would bring what I ordered. Unfortunately, this too was warm and the chicken did not look grilled. It was served on sourdough bread. On one half there was a small piece of chicken on bread that looked like it was soaked in butter and barely toasted/grilled. The garlic aioli sauce was missing. That is understandable however when we received menus that half price on pizza was still advertised. This place is trash... tried it over a year ago and it was bad. Thought ok it's been way over one year maybe they got better, WRONG!!! It's worse. 20 min to get drinks, one to get food then it comes out the mashed potato's are cold. The meat is warm at best. Zero flavor! Asked to have it made hot but never picked it up to reheat it. Not asked about drink refills.... Another killer is they waiter/waitress who took the order but just stands at the head of the table and hands someone at the table to "pass the food down" oh and can you hand me all those empty plates? My husband and I use to go here all the time around 5-6 years ago, after work, it was me of our favorite places to go a few times a week. . Then so much in our lives changed forever. Today we were in that area and wanted to go back to our old memories, we were so surprised to walk in at 5pm to no wait at all, use to be at least a 30 minute wait So we were seated right away, we had just water with to drink and , ordered our favorite the avocado wraps as an appetizer, they were a little over cooked, but our favorite part was always the sauce that came with them, and we were so happy to see they haven't changed that recipe. My husband ordered his famous favorite the brisket burger with fries and I ordered the Mediterranean tacos with garlic mashed potatoes. Food came out hot, husbands meal was made to perfection, my Mediterranean tacos had one piece of grilled chicken in each taco, and the garlic mashed potatoes you can tell were just microwaved. I was so disappointed more on my tacos then anything else, you should be ashamed to only put one small piece of grilled chicken in each taco. If it's the food cost, then why even put meat in them. I hope one day we can try them out again, and we find out it was just a mishap in the kitchen. read more

Not what I was expecting. Picture TGI Fridays, but with worse food. Tri-tip steak was small, expensive, and covered in bbq sauce. Not really what i'd expect from a piece of beef - to be covered in BBQ sauce. Waitstaff were confused with our 10 member table, but still polite about it. Service was very slow. Floor and chairs were dirty. If it was cheaper this would be acceptable, but not at this price point. The only reason i'd see anyone return is if they were craving a deep dish pizza. 12/2/22. I have been to this restaurant in the past and had a very good experience and I was eager to go back. This visit was very disappointing. The food was very slow to arrive, and the waiter messed up the order. At the end he didn't apply the rewards points and had to re-do the transaction. I can overlook things like that. Here's how it started- Our waiter was busy and took our order without writing anything down then came back to us because he had forgotten some of it. My sister in law ordered the cous cous bites and mistakenly he ordered the cous cous Mac and cheese. At least we got to eat the mistake- that was the high point of the visit. We ordered chicken nachos, no jalapeño and pico on the side. This was atrocious. I was a server- we were always told "if it isn't something that looks good to you- don't serve it!" This item NEVER should have been served. This clearly sat forever under the heat lamp. The cheese was plastified on top and a runny saucy mess underneath from what I could see. What could be worse you ask?? The sour cream was a runny sad puddle of a coagulated mess. I love guacamole but I was terrified to even try this - it was BLACK IN SPOTS. I'm confident this sat under the lamp too. It killed my appetite. The pico was dried up looking and I ordered the avocado eggrolls which were just ok. The avocados were not a bright green but muddy and oxidized. I have no idea how a server could serve disgusting nachos. Nachos are not hard to make. I was with my brother and sister in law who are rewards members so I didn't complain but on my own I would have sent this back. Seriously. The only redeeming thing was the sliders they were good. I was very disappointed and I wouldn't recommend eating here. I can overlook a LOT of stuff but having been a server myself- I'm flabbergasted how someone could serve something so gross. read more

Fantastic experience. I have never been at a restaurant where I wanted to try so many beers. My family and I went here on a whim and was so glad we did. I have three small children and they all enjoyed their meals, which is a rarity. My wife who is health conscious, easily found something on the menu. And I certainly found something with the drink selection. I was pleasantly surprised to know that you can buy cases and growlers to go. I just wished the cases would be room temperature as we live a few hours away from the location. read more

The food is okay, but the service was poor. We spent over two hours from the time we sat down till we left. The restaurant itself was cold. So much so, the food was cold moments after we started eating. The meal started out promising with our server presenting us with a complimentary child's meal of one garlic knot and some fruit. The garlic knot was a bit saltier than what we typically like to feed our child, but we scraped most of the salt off and our child seemed to enjoy the bread and fruit. For the adult meals we ordered Southern Fried Chicken, Chicken Alfredo (chosen as a third option because they were out of chicken parm and another chicken meal), and the Enlightened Mediterranean Chicken bowl. We also ordered a wheat beer (Comrade?), a White Peach boba-rita, and an orange cream float with our meals. Our server said they were out of orange soda and suggested the cream float instead. When she returned with the drinks she corrected herself -- they were out of cream soda, not orange . The Southern Fried chicken was flavourful and perfectly crispy, the corn was frozen or canned, and the potatoes average. The chicken Alfredo was slightly salty, but had lots of chicken. The Enlightened Chicken bowl was flavourful, and pleasantly warm. This was particularly pleasing since the restaurant was so cold that by the time our food had arrived, I was freezing and was hoping for something to warm me up. Unfortunately, the meal took over an hour to arrive, and our child had had enough, so my husband and I had to take turns holding our child while we ate. By the time it was my turn to eat, my meal was cold, and my husband had to take our child outside for some fresh entertainment. Once our server gave us our check, she disappeared with my credit card for a long time (almost 10 minutes) before returning with food and drink for two other tables and finally my credit card and receipt. All in all, our meal took so long other patrons arrived after us, ate, paid, and left before we finished. Outside of the meal, I found the bathrooms sticky. Do I want to know why the bathroom stall walls are sticky? On the other hand, the dining room floor was slippery. Overall, I would not go back to this restaurant. I've been to another location and also had bad experiences, so I will probably stay away from all BJ's Brewhouses in the future. read more

Brewery and restaurant near Muhlenberg College in Allentown. On-tap list is very large and displayed in the back which was effective and also an interesting display choice. Lots of items on the menu- reminded me of Red Robin in terms of menu + deep dish pizza options. Liked that they had a section dedicated to low-carb and gluten free options. Didn't have a problem with them, just the doubts of comparison Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza: 4/5 Could have used more ranch. Good portion size, was filling. Tomatoes kept falling off but everything was good. Interesting how the bacon was the crust on this doughy pizza. Full Rack of Ribs with side Caesar salad and green beans: 4.5/5 Meat wasn't too dry and liked the sauce. Meat was easy to pull away from bone. Maybe would have liked a little more sauce. Green beans were nicely cooked with good flavor. Caesar salad was a lot of dressing, which makes it tangy but still liked it. Southern Comfort Sandwich: 2.75/5 This was a unique menu item. Overall, it was very salty. The combination of fried chicken+ ham+ bacon+ cheese was a lot of salt. Couldn't really taste much of the Dijon mustard. Would have been better with the addition of lettuce tomato and onion (or something) to add more texture and break up some of the saltiness. Wouldn't get again (but still an interesting try). Portion size was good though- nice soft bread and a large piece of crispy chicken - could have used more seasoning though. Fries were good. Grilled Chicken Alfredo: 3/5 Good portion size and broccoli was al dente for sure. Plenty of sauce but needed more seasoning. Chicken was in tiny cubes, not a fan of that. We've also tried chicken parmesan & spaghetti, mushroom swiss cheese burger, fried honey crisp chicken salad, Asian Chopped Salad, spicy peanut chicken with soba noodles, root beer wings, cherry chipotle wings, cup of chili, tomato bisque soup, guacamole, hot fudge sundae with toasted pecans, strawberry shortcake pizookie, and other foods over the years. We were there last week for an okay meal with overcooked steaks, however tolerable Tonight 7/11 we did call ahead seating and were told we'd be seated when we get there at 6 pm. We waited till 615 and were sat near the bar FREEZING. We told server wife can't have any pepper or hot spices. She got manager to give options. Wife got Irish coffee (hers was hot) I got a warm Kalua coffee (not hot) beer was cokd. We never got the onion rings we ordered, however the chili was good. Wife didn't get a medium steak she got a very well done one she sent back and mashed potatoes that were just about warm. Sent back and she got a warm not hot soup. Other steak came cooked medium with cold French fries rather than the mashed we ordered. My dinner was good. Searching around to try and order dessert took far longer than it should have. Remarkable our waitress reached over our pushed to the edge of the table dirty plates to put dessert on the table. Overcooked food, cold food, not getting onion ring app, getting fries not mashed, can't find waitress to order dessert, are enough for it to be our last trip there. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us while visiting Pennsylvania. When walking in the doors, I couldn't help but notice the paintings on the wall. They were beautiful. The place appears to be a lively place to eat. The restaurant was clean. I found out they make their own root beer. My coworker ordered it and said it was the best root beer he's had in his life. Someone ordered the root bear chicken. I tasted it. It was good. Our server came over and gave us a wonderful greeting. That was a very nice touch. Gabby was very nice. However, I would have given this place 5 stars ,but Gabby didn't check on our table enough. I kept looking for her to ask for a straw. Also, I was going to add some soup to my order. I say other servers walk past our table multiple times, but no Gabby. She didn't offer us refills. Our drinks were low or empty. Had the absolute best time at dinner tonight with my family!! I got the mahi mahi tacos (one grilled one fried) and they were to DIE FOR (pictured). My sister is gluten free and also got the mahi mahi tacos (grilled) and looooved them. Her friend got the California chicken club and in his words was "the best sandwich he's ever had". We also had the honey sriracha Brussels sprouts which I didn't eat because I don't like Brussels sprouts but everyone else said they were unreal 10/10 would get again. And we got the BBQ tri tip sliders and we could not have cleaned that plate faster.
