This lovely adventure begins with a doctor's appointment for me up in Jenks and ends with dinner on the way out of town in Tulsa at BJ's. After my appointment concluded, the hubby and I made a kitty food run, before deciding on lupper from BJ's on the way home. I ended up with a sampler which had 2 burger bites, boneless honey bbq wings, mozzarella sticks, and chips with spinach & artichoke dip. I had a hand crafted soda for my drink, which was orange in flavor. My hubby got their dip sammie & sides he chose and a sweet tea. Our dessert was a pizzookie with vanilla bean ice cream. Mine was strawberry shortcake and his was chocolate chip if I remember right. Once the order was placed, we pulled into the parking lot and waited in the shade for the appointed time. At the appointed time, we pulled around and the hubby went in and got the order. He handed me the ice cream and went and got the drinks. Then we pulled around to the other side, found a shady spot, and had an ice cream picnic before we headed home with rest of our order(since we did not want ice cream soup when we got home). Visited for a friend's birthday on a Monday, right around 6pm. Waited 30 minutes for a table even though the restaurant was empty (minimal staff we assumed). We were patient with our server, who expressed he was still fairly new. Start to finish, dinner took 2 hours. And he messed up a lot, but we remained patient. The wait staff uses iPad-type devices to take your order, but things still came out wrong when the food arrived even after he repeated everything back to us. Things were also missing throughout the meal, or the wrong things were delivered, like so much we thought we were being pranked. Definitely will not be back for a while, but I would be willing to get food to-go. read more

BJ's food never disappoints! I take my kids there because the menu has such a variety of tasty items, we can order and enjoy something new each time. They have a NON Spirited section of the drink menu that included a cool drink made with gummy eye-balls that my kids order each time! I get the Unlucky Duck served in a bathtub with a floating duck. We enjoyed the Jumbo pretzel and Avocado Egg roll appetizers! While waiting on our main entrees - we pulled out the UNO cards for a friendly competition. Once our entrees came - everyone focused on their amazing meals. We ordered the steak, the salmon, the Jambalaya and a burger and sampled each dish. These items are a bit pricey but certainly worth it. This time we went around 4pm on a Thursday and it was mostly empty, but the hostess made us wait a few minutes before taking us to a table because they were having a shift change. Was in town on a business trip and went I for dinner and to watch the basketball game. After being seated in the bar area, took roughly 10-15 mi to be acknowledged. We have made it here several times now. I like the vast selection of menu items to choose from. This time I got the hickory brisket and bacon burger. Although messy this was a very good burger especially if you are a meat lover. My wife got the New Orleans Jambalaya which tasted very good since they are not a cajun restaurant. Food was good and everything but had a party of 8 people, server was rolling her eyes the whole time, when we got our check she didn't tell us their would be the gratuity and then when I payed for the full check I wasn't expecting her to count the money out loud to me in front of the whole table. There were only 12 tables with people and multiple servers, but it was so slow! I had the fish tacos. They were very flavorful- the slaw and sauces were good, the tortillas were slightly toasted- that part was great. We were refused without a clear explanation and instead directed to a table at the far end of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What made this especially concerning was that other guests were being seated in better, more central areas and by the windows with nice views, while we were pushed to a less desirable spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The contrast in how we were treated compared to others was hard to ignore. This experience felt discriminatory and left us feeling unwelcome. At a minimum, the seating policy seemed inconsistent and unfair. No guest should feel singled out or treated differently when there are open tables available. I would strongly urge management to review how customers are being seated and ensure that all guests are treated with fairness and respect. In addition, we were halfway through the food when we were brought the bill to pay. read more

I usually love BJ's. I went to lunch with a friend and had an awful experience. We went for the 13$ lunch and Pizookie deal and got lunch, the restaurant was empty but it took forever to get food (like 30+mins). Our waiter was very friendly and apologetic but the experience was not great and the food was subpar. The chicken in the chicken Parmesan tasted tough and frozen. But this was not even the worst part. We called in as they were doing a deal for the Biscoff Pizookie to be sure they still had it and the host confirmed they still did. This was 90% of the reason we even came. We ate and everything and ordered the Biscoff which was a 5$ upgrade but my friend really wanted it so we payed it, just to find out the Biscoff Pizookie was no longer available. The upgrade was still on our ticket and no visit from a manger or anything. They told him when he got there. They credited me for that and s t uck me with the fees and tip on a $100. Not the washers fault. Its not truth in service. There is parking around this stand alone restaurant which is steps away from Woodland Hills mall. It wasn't super busy when we arrived so we were seated quickly. Our waiter was quick to check in once we were seated. I tried the tri tip wedge salad with choice of dressing and a side of French fries. It was pretty good, I liked the thousand island dressing. Menu items Id had years past were gone besides the Pizookie of course. Took awhile to find something else. I randomly chose the tavern pig pizza. Had jalapeño pineapple on it. Husband went with weekend special of prime rib.. $34 with a side. Wow were we both disappointed! Feeling disappointed. The wedge salad was bland... a lot of red onions and tomatoes. Honestly compared to all the other Wedge salads I've had in the past... it was boring. The pizza looked good, but when you go in to eat it... very light on the sauce and was just "ok". Again heavy on the raw red onions. I think the thing that disappointed the most was I built up how they made in-house root beer and drinks to my son. So he ordered a Ginger Beer. We love BJ's and I was so excited to see there is a location in Tulsa. We went after a concert on a Saturday night since they are open late (12am). There were about 6 other tables seated when we arrived, and we were seated immediately. The host was very friendly and chatted as he led us to a table. It took almost 5 minutes before our server came to our table and got our drink order. She was friendly but throughout the whole meal it was hard to get her attention and we waited a long time for her to return to take our order and to bring the dessert, then the check. I am assuming b/c she was getting ready to close up and was cleaning, but we felt ignored. The food took almost 45 minutes, which was crazy long with two kids meals and a salad. The food, though, was absolutely delicious. The steak wedge salad was one of the best I have ever had, and my kids loved their pastas and fruit too. Of course, we had to get the pizzokie for dessert, and it was amazing and plenty big enough to share. Amazing does not even begin to describe the delicious food at BJ's Brewhouse and Restaurant. I ordered delivery and will undoubtedly order again. Our order consisted of mozzarella sticks, BJ's Classic Rib-Eye cooked Medium Well, Piranha Pale Ale Chili and Creamy Couscous Mac Cheese with Bacon, Crispy Jalapeno Burger with fries, Kids' Chicken Tenders with Happy Face Potatoes, a Cookies 'n' Cream Pizookie, and a Triple Chocolate Pizookie. Host was sitting on a chair and on her phone when we came in, she got up to clean a table for us. Which tells me my wait time could be shorter if she had not been on her phone and had a table ready. I then waited on my table for 8 minutes before getting someone to come and offer drinks. I ordered a steak that was supposed to be medium rare. Came out burnt. I enjoyed the cool, kick back ambiance of BJ's, I gave that a star. BUT! the main dishes, ugh, not worthy of much, but ONE star. I feel Tulsa needs to step it up here! I come from Cali, and the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones...here, not so much. The appetizers were the cheese curds (good!) and the sriracha brussel sprouts (delish). My husbands Tri tip and shrimp dish turned out great...but the Enlightened fire-roasted barbacoa chicken, and the kids dried up Mac and cheese had me truly disappointed! The barbacoa chicken was dry, the entire plate was bland. They dressed the plate to make it look fresh, but it was NOT! Went on a Saturday around 130 pm. Service was bad. The hostess looked miserable, no welcoming smile or greeting. I also saw her slam a rag down. The 1.5 hours I was there I noticed long wait times at the door because she was not attentive. Hopefully it was just a bad day, but still inappropriate to have guests feel your misery. Any additional items, like ketchup, had to be requested. Also, we were never offered a refill on drinks. It took 45 minutes for our food to be delivered. The table behind our table was complaining about service when they left.
