I'm a fan of BJ's, been to many all over the country. OKC, Nashville, Denver, etc. This location has the same great atmosphere and food but they just opened and there is a huge learning curve. I think they had been open maybe three weeks when my sister and I came here. We will have to go back again after the newness settles. I had a California chicken flatbread and she had a hamburger. Both were good! We had the avocado egg rolls for appetizer and those are just fantastic at every location. We enjoyed their anniversary beer while we were there. It's a very good choice. Reminds me a lot of a tripel. Service was good but our waitress had a trainee with her and he was clueless. Maybe in a month he will be good. Went to BJs on Friday around 5 pm and sat at the bar. Pierre, our server/bartender, was very nice and helpful in answering questions about the menu. We both ordered a beer since we managed to arrived during happy hour. The beers are served in frosty, ice cold glasses which is always nice. I ordered the Cherry Chipotle Salmon which was served with a sweet, savory cherry chipotle glaze, roasted asparagus and fire-roasted red pepper, tomato & spinach couscous. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a light, flaky texture. The asparagus was slightly undercooked for my tasted a bit to crunchy. The couscous was delicious. She ordered the Brewhouse Burger which was a thin beef patty with grilled onions. The burger was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles on a parmesan-crusted bun and a side of fries. The burger was really good and the meat had great flavor. The fries were awesome. As others have mentioned, the menu has a lot of choices and we joked about it, saying it was as thick as that of the Cheesecake Factory. I did think some prices were a bit high, but on other items, the price is better than other places in town which was puzzling. My wife and I ate here yesterday. Her salad was mediocre best, definitely not worth the money. I got the burger which was okay, also not worth the money. We also got an order of the pop stickers for an appetizer, they were okay kind of average. There are several things that detract it from our experience. I would have given them three stars as an average experience, but they had fruit flies everywhere. It was really gross. We should have left as soon as we saw the number of them. We are back to BJ for another round of craft beers and we aren't disappointed. The new GOLIATH® IMPERIAL RED IPA is a very rich and tasty Amber Ale with nice balance of fruity and citrus hop favors. You should give it a try if you haven't done so. And what's better than a burger to go with the fresh cold beers. We ordered the bistro burger and it's the bomb, the burger patty is thick and juicy, while cooked and seasoned well! All the fixings are great too! And we also loved the fries. Since we don't want too sweet of a dessert, we only had the mini pizookie, while it was fresh and tasty, the cookie was too soft and the dough wasn't cooked enough. We visited from out of town and came for graduation dinner. The ambience is great. Clean and very open. The food was great. The pizza was great and the wings. I wish I would have read the reviews ahead of time. If I could rate Zero Stars I would. Wednesday 5/15 about 10pm We were looking for a decent date night restaurant where I could have a beer... We were sorely disappointed. The host acted like it was an inconvenience to seat my wife and I. Once we were seated, we were greeted by the most inattentive server I have ever had. She had a bad attitude and seemed to be upset that we were taking her away from her table of coworkers 2 tables away. I asked for her beer recommendation and was recommended the "Jeremiah Red." I'm no connoisseur, but I know my beers, and this red was bland, watered down, and flat. I told our server I wasn't going to drink it, and she looked at me like I was out of my mind and spoke with disgust. At least she removed it from our bill. The restaurant was basically empty and we were still ignored. The conversation at her table of coworkers was loud enough to hear and was blatantly sexual in nature, to the point my wife got sick to her stomach. My wife ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich and I ordered the Tri-Tip Wedge. The food was the only decent thing about this trip, and that's all it was, not great but decent. Our server walked past us several times before ever asking how our meal was. She asked every question (dessert, check, etc.) in passing so we had to stop her from walking off to ask for a box. As a former server, I HAVE NEVER left anywhere without tipping, but I did tonight. This was hands down some of the worst service I have ever received, and definitely the worst experience I've had at a restaurant with the audacity to charge $8 for a beer. Tried this place for the first time recently, late afternoon on a Saturday with two adults, two kids. We had about an hour and a half to kill before our movie started. The restaurant was mostly empty, but somehow it still took ~10 minutes for a server to take our drink order. In looking over the menu, the first thing I noticed was that the prices seemed very high for what is clearly just another "lots of frozen pre-prepped entrees in the walk-in" place ala Chili's or Cheesecake Factory. Like, if I'm going to pay $16 for baked ziti, it's going to be at a locally owned Italian restaurant. I digress. The server returns with our drinks, and informs us that she's giving our table to another server. A few minutes later (we've been ready to order for awhile by this point), I see her conferring with another server, and pointing at our table. We wait almost another 10 minutes for the relief server to arrive. New guy is an older Asian gentleman, very friendly but completely untrained on the ordering system and asks my wife for help navigating the system options. Ordering takes several additional minutes. We ordered two kids' meals and a $20 "deep dish" pizza to share. The food arrived about 30 minutes later. Son's meal was fine, but my daughter's sliders were two bare patties of charred meat, no cheese. Gross. Our pizza was somehow only lukewarm, and was essentially of Digiorno quality. By this time, we just need to eat and go in order to make our movie. I guess it was a bonus that we never got refills, as I'm sure that would've been an ordeal as well. We finished up and discovered, as expected, that after another several-minute wait our server was nowhere to be found. I had to flag ANOTHER server to get our ticket to pay out, and ended up in a rush to make our movie. TLDR; lousy service, high prices, crap food. Well I guess all drinks come with bugs in them and guess what they still charge you for them even when you don't drink it. I want this place to be good so bad but it just sucks!! The wait staff is soooo bad it's crazy. I love the beer and foods not bad but I won't be back. Was in town for a 5k race and decided to grab some dinner. Service was a little slow but our waitress Raven was super friendly and was trying her best to keep everyone satisfied. Hard to get upset when so many places are struggling with workers. The food wasn't bad i got the chicken pita tacos with sweet potato fries, son got the rootbeer glazed wings and my other son got the cherry glazed salmon. The chicken pita tacos were a little dry but edible. The sweet potato fries were cold and really nothing special. The rootbeer glazed wings were really good and you got plenty with your order. The cherry glazed salmon was tasty and was tender. Easily cut with a fork. The asparagus was over cooked but had good flavoring. Prices are a little high but the quality was decent. read more

Had dinner here while visiting with a friend. I've only eaten at this franchise once before and really enjoyed their wings and a salad that had golden beets. On this visit, the roasted sriracha brussel sprouts along with salmon caught my attention. I ended up ordering the grilled salmon in a light lemon sauce , steamed broccoli and was given an option to substitute the rice which I did for the brussel sprouts. I wish that I'd requested that my broccoli be cooked tender but I still enjoyed them. The brussel sprouts were the star of the show! The spice gave them a different yet delicious flavor. A guest and I went to BJ's Friday night. Pretty much the minute we walked in things were off. The staff at the front desk appeared confused when we requested to sit outside and without really saying anything the employee turned her back to us and began a discussion with another staff member as if she was confused whether or not she could seat us outside. Since the decision didn't appear to be going anywhere, which I found extremely odd, I walked up to the two employees and said we would be fine sitting at the bar. None of that made any sense as there were others already seated outside and many tables outside were still empty. I was hopeful we would get better service at the bar than what our first impression reflected. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There were at least four staff members behind the bar the entire time we were there. Even though they did not appear busy at all, it took quite a bit of time before one of them finally approached us. Two menus were set in front of us and the staff member merely walked off without asking us to begin with if we even wanted a menu, but even more surprisingly did not ask what we would like to drink. Through the entire time we were waiting on someone to acknowledge us at the bar and get something to drink and start our food order, the four employees behind the bar were mostly visiting among each other. That's when we should've left. We finally looked through the menu while we waited another unnecessary amount of time before the staff member returned to take our drink order. There were only four other people besides us at the bar, ie two other couples. The restaurant itself did not have many people there either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were many empty tables and it seriously looked like there were as many wait staff as there were occupied tables.... Just like the bar area. Four so-called bartenders for six people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the worst service !! My guest ordered the strawberry Fields salad (which was good.) However, his cup of chili came out barely room temperature. Under the circumstances I am betting it set back there a while before anyone bothered to bring it out to us. Sad to see BJ's going downhill so fast. Used to love them back in the day in Southern California. However last night the food was horrible. Let me start off with saying that the waitress was awesome, very friendly, attentive and there were no complaints and she was tipped very well. Now the food was absolutely horrible. My wife had chicken with chimichcurri and ended up throwing it all up about an hour later. She mentioned it did not taste very good. I ordered the $30 Ribeye that was extremely difficult to eat. The meat even though cooked to medium rare was difficult to chew. You would think a $30 ribeye would actually be good, well it wasn't and made me wish we went elsewhere. I was skeptical about coming here, since it's still new to Tulsa. I have been to the one in OKC, by the OKC outlets. But my son wanted to celebrate his birthday dinner here because of all the different beers they have. I came early because I always see it's busy inside, when I drove by. My party wasn't due till 5pm, I got there about 4:40pm. They were already busy, this Saturday, after Valentines Day. I went up to the hostess, and let her know I had a party of 12 people coming, for a birthday dinner. She told me there were 20 people, ahead of me already. She would have to asked the manager, the wait time would be for me. I went ahead , put my name on the list anyways. It started to get really busy, I was after it would be very long to get our table, then I got a text, saying it would be 35 to 40 minutes wait. My people started to arrived around 5:30pm. Less then five minutes, I received an text, that our table was ready!! Yay! The hostess and servers were really friendly to us. The inside was like the same, as the one in OKC. It's a bit nosy, but you can hear the person next to you talking. Our waitress was the best! I was afraid of getting someone, who couldn't handle a big party. She introduced herself, which I am very sorry, I forgot her name. She has short blonde hair, very knowledgeable, and friendly. If you go there seek her out! Oh, she told us too because there was a table behind us, just young kids at. Their parents were all at a table by themselves. So these kids weren't supervised by any other the parents. But anyway, she said, if they bother us, just let her know. They were throwing the paper cups deal. I didn't drink this time. My kids did, my daughter for this frizzled & fruity drink, with a shot of tequila, spritzer wine, and some fruit in it. She said it was yummy! My son and son-in-law got their IP beers. They really liked them. By the way, they have a lot. Our waitress told of all the kinds, what was best to get. Their selection of the menu, can be a bit overwhelming because there is much. This time I tried their grilled salmon, with pilaf rice and Broccoli. The sauce that came with that, was delicious. Now you can choose to have your salmon blacken, but that would be too spicy for me. I really like it. My daughter got their chicken sandwich. She really liked it. She said it was better, then Chick-fil-la! Lol. My son got the pizza. Their pizzas are really good. I would come back here again, this time enjoy their drinks. If you go around 5pm, be ready to wait. It stay busy, when we left at 7pm. read more

The food was good, and the pizookie was amazing as always. My favorite is the salted caramel, yum! However, the experience was weird. It was Friday at lunch time (maybe one o'clock ) and the restaurant was fairly empty. The sign was posted that they cannot accept credit at the moment, they will have to do a carbon copy, cash preferred- Due to the system being down. Well, the waitress told us it has been like this since she came in to open the store.. why they opened the restaurant while malfunctioning?! I'm not sure. My point in this is that if the store manager chose to open the restaurant while having a major malfunction (seeing how most people pay with credit card in this day and age) why would they consistently turn people away or tell them it will be an extremely long wait so that customers decide not to wait. I heard the bar tender tell the hostess not to seat anyone at the bar (there were only 2 ladies there currently) because it's too much work. we had to wait 30 minutes because "it's taking a long time to do the carbon copy". Once we were seated the food came out fast and was good. However, at the end all I did was write down some credit card information on a receipt and I was done! The manager would take care of it later that day once/if the system is up and running. I find it disrespectful that they used an excuse to make people wait longer than needed or send them away when it was not even that big of a deal!! I think the real problem was that they're understaffed. Which is also unfortunate. All that to say- if you're going to stay open knowing you have a problem, you should make sure you're able to serve customers. read more

Chili Crunch Potstickers weren't available, but we were still charged extra. (The waitress was nice and considerate about it though!) Buffalo Wings were cold and mild, Avocado Egg Rolls were good, as well as the Corndog bites. We ordered their "World-Famous" Pizookie. Was raw and goopy. Been to numerous BJ restaurants. My go to order is the Jambalaya, easy on the salt. A lot of these dishes tend to oversalt to avoid undersalting. They offer military discounts. They also offer a very delicious bread bowl options for soup including clam chowder which seems to be harf to find in Tulsa. In April, a friend & I had lunch there and were plagued by gnats the entire lunch. We brought it to the attention of our server, who was lovely, apologized and said she was aware of the gnats, and offered to box up our meals. Initially, we said we just wanted to make sure that management was aware of the issue. A short time later, we decided that changing tables might help since I couldn't enjoy my $20+ Kale & Brussels salad w/salmon that the gnats seemed to really like. We stopped the hostess as she was walking past to ask if we could move. She told us that she would send someone over b/c she had people waiting to be seated and walked away. About the time we were grabbing our plates to move ourselves, our server came back and helped us move to a table near the windows. There were fewer gnats, but they still plagued us during the entire meal. I later submitted a Yelp review, was contacted by the restaurant and received a gift card. In June, my husband & I went for lunch to use the gift card. I again had the Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Kale salad w/salmon. Service was terribly slow, they forgot my salmon, didn't include the candied pecans and pepitas and the roasted brussels were barely roasted & ice cold. The server didn't seem too phased by any of it and was barely apologetic. I contacted the "feedback" email to let them know how my make-up meal went and was told that I'd be contacted by "upper management" - here we are almost a month later and no one has contacted me. We have been going here for a year now and enjoy it each time. The drinks are well made, I have tried a variety of drinks but the Tito's Lavender Lemonade is my favorite. My husband gets the beer....it's beer, he enjoys it. What I really love about BJ's is that the kids get a "kids appetizer" which is a small deal of fruit and a garlic knot. This is perfect for kids as it gives them a snack while waiting for meals to come out. Every restaurant should do this! Our kiddo loves the fruit and the garlic knot. We have tried a variety of entrees and enjoy all. My favorites are probably the salmon dishes as it's perfectly portioned and refreshing. My only wish is that one day I'll catch them when they have the fried calamari or bone-in wings in-stock! They usually have the boneless wings (aka chicken nuggets renamed) in-stock but I'll hold out for actual wings. The kiddo usually gets the mini cheeseburgers, but the shrimp and corn dogs are great as well. My husband and our kiddo end up sharing a "Pizole". I might be spelling that wrong but is delicious and topped with ice cream - comes in different flavors/types. read more

I pointed out to the bartender that was the most that I have ever paid anywhere in Tulsa, including high-end steakhouses. Her response was, "Oh, well, that's what we charge." The service however was lacking the waitress took forever to check on us, well really she never checked on us we had to ask for water and flag her down multiple times when we need some thing. Also I mentioned it was our first time I also had to ask about happy hour and had to ask about suggestions she was clueless and not super friendly. Apparently there is a happy hour I'm not sure on the details since the waitress was not helpful in explaining anything but I believe if you go before six you can get several appetizers for only six dollars. I had the avocado eggrolls and the sliders and they were only six dollars each. The avocado eggrolls were not great the flavor was kind of weird the dipping sauce was way too sweet that they came with but everything else we had was really good. Almost like refrigerator cold but the restaurant is cold inside so it could've been room temp. We sent it back which I strongly dislike doing. It took about 20 min to get back out to us (the same one, a chip we dropped was still in it) and still cold. I've had their quinoa bowl in okc and was excited to have that. I added shrimp that was very, very average. Wouldn't add that again. My husband got shrimp scampi pasta and it was lukewarm at best. I realize Covid has affected everything and plan to go back in the near future and upgrade this review. But for now, this is it. read more
