We walked into the establishment with 2 registered, licensed service dogs & were asked to leave. The bartender said their policy is NOT TO ALLOW ANY DOGS. I tried to explain they were services dogs & was told it didn't matter. I have severe Fibromyalgia & MS. If my husband isn't right there when I fall, I have nothing to help me get up & provide stability!! They are breaking a Federal Law & when I mentioned that, a patron popped up & said that the dogs could stay, but I'd have to leave!! Last night was Desert storm I walked in the bar with my service dog, I went to the restroom then I was going to the bar to order a drink a lady with blond hair short with glasses approached me and said we don't allow dogs in here, I had my dog in my Fanny pack he's a Yorkie and he's a certified service dog classified as an emotional support dog. I proceeded to show the lady my paperwork, she stopped me and said I was a liar, people wouldn't be able to touch a service dog, I said he's an emotional support dog that's his job to make people feel better. She then said I was being a fu$$ing a$$hole and I needed to leave at this point o turned around and walked out. It's one thing to talk to someone in a professional way to handle a situation but it's another thing when your down right rude to your clients and treat them like trash. I own a business I would never allow an employee to talk to a client like this it's very bad business and makes the owner look bad that someone is running their business like this when they aren't around. Im from Orange County Ca and visit this place almost each time i go to havasu. the Owner which i forgot her name (sorry) is nice and helpful, makes the best red beer in town for sure!! if you want a chill place with not too many people to relax in and play some tipical bar type games it's the spot for you. Not a good place for dancing or hooking up, but being im engaged that's ok with me. Oh and nice salty pop corn for free to go with your ice cold beer. Not necessarly the owner or bartenders fault that her apparently longtime Drunk customer Paul and his gal got in my husbands face and accused him of something he not only didnt do but wouldn't dream of doing. We thought we had found a nice new place where we could play some shuffle board and have, a few drinks. Who ever was tending bar at noon on Sunday during winterfest slould have appoligized for her customers behavior. And possibly offered, a freet round for the awfulness. We will not step foot in there again. We are both retired military veterans and have such respect for people City, and the country we would not do such a thing. We hope your customer realizes what he did when he sobers up. His gal started it all. Hope shes proud. And in front of the small children that were in your establishment. There is nothing more simple yet beautiful than the Desert Martini. Cheap beer served in schooners with an olive dropped to the bottom (hence The Desert MARTINI). They charge you an extra 10 cents for the olive and I wouldn't have it any other way. The darts, shuffleboard and pool help you keep track of how bad the hand/eye coordination gets after you finish your third schooner. Tammy, the owner, is always behind the bar and remembers us (or at least pretends to) even after a season away from the lake. I am not very liberal with my five stars but this is a prefect example of simple is satisfying. read more

This place is actually pretty cool in my book. The people at the Martini are friendly and the whole scene is pretty welcoming to any passer-by -- locals and visitors alike. The flagship drink -- the "Desert Martini," of course -- is a lager served in a large (24oz?), stemmed glass -- with an olive as a garnish.
