I get vanilla yogurt for my boys, Parmesan cheese in a big chunk, butter at under three dollars a pound. Milk under three dollars a gallon. Overall, just a great shopping experience. read more

Always a large variety of products to be able to choose from. They have everything from kids toys, books, furniture, luggage, party supplies, medicine, of course lots of food and so much more. They do carry a lot of the same food/drink products but change out a lot of other things. You do need a membership to be able to shop here but as a mom of three kids and hungry husband I think it's well worth the money to get the membership. I really enjoy the online shopping experience to be able to order everything I want on my app and then do curb side pickup. Quick, easy and convenient for a busy day working to swing by and accomplish another task easily without any hassle. The only thing that doesn't give that extra star is there has been a lot of times where I will order something thinking I will get it when I do pick up and find out last minute they are out of product and didn't include any option for similar product to help fulfill my order. I wish they would just have that option as a text message to inform me or ask if I want to switch to something else. read more

BJ's Wholesale club is similar to Sam's Club and Costco. They have 210 locals in 17 states. My hubby is from Buffalo, NY and grew up eating Krakus imported Polish ham. Needless to say we bought a whole Krakus ham to take back to Oklahoma. BJ's Wholesale club offers discount membership active duty & veterans. Stopped in for a few things today after work. I come 1-2 times a month and it's pretty standard. Overall the store is usually clean and well stocked. It wasn't busy because it was a weeknight which was a plus. The prices here are good on some items. It helps if you have an idea of the prices and sales of the other stores in the area if you are trying to get the best deals. I find that the meats here are usually great quality and a good deal. I've also had luck with pantry items and toiletries and personal care stuff. They have a nice selection of seasonal items and have been increasing their gluten free selection as well. You need to be a member, or have a membership card, to shop here. Stop a little down the road for a discount on gas with your membership as well. Overall if you know what to buy and can make it worth it a membership can be beneficial. read more

I like stopping at this location because all of the employees are friendly and helpful, especially when offering samples. The store is always clean and well stocked as well. It is usually pretty busy here but still easy to navigate. There is ample parking, although the parking lot does get busy at peak times so you may have to park pretty far away in the large lot. read more

Another great experience at a BJ'S during this pandemic. The store was neat and clean, as well had each item I was looking for. I pre-ordered items but also looked around for a bit. The staff was very helpful and extremely eager to help with any questions. They understood the flow of how the pick up worked without leaving me waiting. Any question I asked about a product being available was immediately answered. The store was neat and clean. Almost to clean .. I get frustrated when an item isn't in stock, so you can't even see where it would have been. During this second wave it seems people have gone in and really cleared shelves. went to goto the tire shop today and was told that someone would be there at 10am. waited until 11 am and no one was there the doorway was never cleared of snow and no signs in the door telling anyone that they would be closed today in observance of the holiday. this is bad customer service. If you are going to keep practicing this type of service you might just as well close your doors or replace management. I feel its their fault this is happening and not paying attention to details and safety of customers and employees. read more

I have purchased a membership for the second year. I like the prices comparable to grocery stores buying multiple. It usually works out saving a few dollars and then you use a coupon to save even more money. The store is clean and organized. The only thing I don't like is that they like to remodel the store and then it throws you off when you go in and the layout has changed. Staff is very helpful and polite. read more

My daughter and sister were at BJ's today . We were at the self check and having problems with our membership cards not working properly. Shannon, who is one of the self check employees on the front end came over and helped us. She came over three times for three different reasons and couldn't have been more polite and helpful. I've actually visited this location shortly after their arrival into Western NY. Purchased merchandise for the company that I worked for at the time. Didn't have to pay for a membership since the company paid for it. It was OK then. Many years passed before I even thought about going back. A couple of people have mentioned this place to me. Yesterday, IT WAS TIME! Bought the membership! Today I visited and left $400.00 poorer. My daughter, my grand-daughters and I left with two shopping carts full of stuff! I' not going to say that everything was a super buy - know your prices -however the bulk option was kind of a sweet deal. They also sell Puerto Rican Bread, which I adore and have not found since Tropical Bakery days. Also, Hebrew National hot dogs are sold in three packs for a great price. I like Sahlems, I LOVE HEBREW NATIONAL. They no longer sell the baklava, which I adored back in the day, but they do sell pastry tasters. Napoleans, eclairs, cream puffs and chocolate mousse squares. I guess that I will survive. I don't really need to buy in bulk. But I did. Am I sorry? NOPE. Good day today. Especially watching the grand kids packing the stuff in our two 'fridges/freezers. read more

This is one of the smaller BJs I've been too, but still had a good selection of items. I picked up some hot cappicollo from the deli and the wait was a bit long to be served. However, the woman working behind the counter was very nice and worked quickly on my order. For hot rotisserie items they only had the larger chickens, no smaller ones, or turkey breast. That was disappointing. The checkout line took far too long. People using coupons, which they really push at this place, could not scan them properly and a few customers required help. It was very frustrating seeing them struggle and makes you wonder why paper coupons are required in this day and age. Parking outside was quite busy and there seemed to be not enough spots. BJ's is a warehouse club that is a members only business. It is designed to be used only by customers who can buy in bulk. Individual items are normally not available for purchase so it is not practical for small families. Businesses also purchase here. Membership is not location based and is good any any of the stores. BJ's sells name brands as well as their own private label items which are usually, but not always, as good as the name brands. Prices charged are almost always less than in other stores but sometimes advertised sale items in grocery stores can be slightly lower. The only drawback I can find with the stock is that periodically certain items disappear for a month or so and then reappear. This specific store is cleaner and better organized than a few of the others I have visited. Employees have always been friendly and are knowledgeable about products carried and where in the store to find them. Recently they began a program coordinated through their website site which allows electronic coupons to be selected and loaded onto the membership card, eliminating the need to remember them. Discounts are processed at checkout. In store only paper coupons are also available. I have been a member since 1998 and have never regretted it. read more

This might not be a Costco or Sam's club, but it's the place I belong to and if you are careful - you can get some really super deals here. You have to be careful though because two things can happen when buying in large quantities. The first thing is that you could pay too much - the second thing is that what you buy could spoil before you use it all. TIP: Stick with the best buys on items that won't spoil. TP was a great deal as too was the K-cups at 50 cents each! Neither item spoils and can end up saving you from both ends! Always plenty of parking here, but remember to bring you own bags! read more

It is what it is. Buy huge quantities of stuff ... usually cheap. For what it's worth I quit and joined Sams club for a year ... and came back. They are only minimally different. BJ's has a better bakery and a deli ... although if you go to the deli be prepared to wait. 1/2 and hour in line is quick. .The drive from my house is about the same in terms of miles. I live in the Southtowns so it was easier to get to Blasdell. If I lived in Cheektowaga I'd probably still be at Sams. read more

My son had tires put on today at 1:00 pm. When picking up his vehicle he checked his middle consel and his watch and some singles were gone. ( yeah we know live and learn) he asked the employee where his watch was employee said umm let me think, nah it was only me back here. Katie the manager was called and said she would watch videos and get back to him. This was at 3 o'clock. 7:30 Katie is called and states she is busy and said she would call at 9. She had the biggest freaking attitude ever. When I mentioned calling the Hamburg police she said I will no longer be viewing video have the police come here. This store needs to retrain their employees on proper customer service and do better background checks on their employees. Just because people leave stuff in their vehicle doesn't mean it's free for the taking. On that note police are on their way as Katie wants to be difficult. We're done being members of BJ'S. This incident will be shared with all the people we know so it doesn't happen to anyone else read more

Yesterday 1/7/2014 we were involved in the Blizzard that hit WNY. I was stranded in Buffalo for a few days and could not get home. My daughter called and we were out of dog food. She is use to carring a 40 lb bag if she needed to. Since there was a driving ban on and she could not even get out of our driveway, she decided to walk the 1/2 mile to the store with the wind chil of -20 degrees. When she got to the store there was only a 55 lb bag of the kind we get so she bought it and started to walk. Before she could get ou the the plaza she knew she couldn't make it so put the bag down where most people couldn't see it and walked back to the store. She asked for help to find a small sled. She told them why and an associate went out to help her tie the bag to the sled. In the time she was gone which was only a few minutes, someone stole the bag of food. We believe it was a trucker who was there waiting for the thruway to open. When whe walked in the manager said that was quick and was wondering if she wanted to return the sled. Both my daughter and the associate told her that the bag was stolen. The manager knew my daughter still had a half mile walk back in bad conditions. The manager surprised my daughter and gave her a bag for free. She did not have to do it but she felt it was right. There were 5 people from the club who helped my daughter out. I was floored when I heard this and I will spread the word how these associates went far and above what they had to for my daughter. Thank you for the great customer service that was given.
