It's been awhile since we were here. It seems as if store is finally getting upgrade. Now, if Karina at front desk and Ginnette as cashier remain at the store, we will have every reason to come back. Both workers were effective at their jobs & showed kindness and friendliness that is often not seen at a big box

Another great experience at a BJ'S during this pandemic. The store was neat and clean, as well had each item I was looking for. I pre-ordered items but also looked around for a bit. The staff was very helpful and extremely eager to help with any questions. They understood the flow of how the pick up worked without leaving me waiting. Any question I asked about a product being available was immediately answered. The store was neat and clean. Almost to clean .. I get frustrated when an item isn't in stock, so you can't even see where it would have been. During this second wave it seems people have gone in and really cleared shelves. The checkout lines although hectic were a smooth process. I opted for self checkout and things went pretty quick

If you are going to get meat and groceries, go into the livestock area, order what you are going to order, then go grocery shopping. While you are grocery shopping (tell them @ the livestock window that you are going into the grocery department)...they will butcher and cut your meat to however you request. When it's done, more time then not, they will bring your meat into the store for you. I recommend it, because if you spend an extended amount of time in the live stock area, you WILL leave smelling like....livestock. My husband and I originally went for the first time over the winter, and we spent the entire time in the live stock area. We had to wash our coats after. Get in and get out of the live stock area. If you are going for live stock, you go to the window, tell them what you want. They will pull and weigh. You cash out and wait for your meat. We originally went for the live, fresh chickens, quickly expanding our meat order. While I will admit, the people who butcher the animals, they have a definite language barrier. It is much easier to tell the gentlemen at the window what you want, and HOW you want it cut up. Better yet, write it down. Once you've been there once, you get the gist, and it goes much faster, just because you know what you are doing. Best chicken ever. It is a totally different experience from the frozen, hormone pumped chicken from the store. And FYI, their brown chicken (while generally no different in price), tastes better then the white. I can't explain it, that is just the way it works. And save the chicken part extras (backs, necks, and what not) for stock. My freezer is full of it. On any given day, they will have several types of animals to choose from. White Chicken Brown Chicken Roosters Guinea Hens Turkeys Several different type of ducks Goats Lambs Cows Rabbits Just remember to pick up good freezer bags, as they only put them in clear plastic bags. I prefer switching everything over to a better bag. We go every couple of months, only because we buy so much when we do go, my freezer is full of meat for a while. Definitely a good meat market. Prices are reasonable, just remember, you are buying the whole animal. They will ask you if you want the heads, and hearts, and what not. They don't do it to be gross, they do it because you paid for the entire animal. They are waiting for FDA approval to sell their livestock, that they butcher and package, in the grocery section. For the time being, the meat in the freezer case is brought in from NYC. All in all, it IS clean, and you can't smell anything outside the building, OR in the grocery section. Go take a look! Worth It.

They carry the basic staples in brand name AND in store brand products and offer a good range of selection for most products. Their meats are good quality and priced below the regular prices of Tops (and certainly Wegmans). The selection of vegetables and fruits are normal (apples, oranges, bananas, etc) and do not include the more exotic variety you'll find at Wegmans. This is where you come for the basics and they do that well. I start my shopping trip here and go to Tops or Wegmans for items I wasn't able to find here. The store is always clean and the staff are nice. The lines at the registers can get long as everyone tends to have full carts when they check out. They don't bag your groceries for you, but offer free boxes (from the shelves) or you can buy plastic bags for $0.10 each. A full cart generally takes about 6-7 bags. If you environmentally minded, you can reuse the bags or bring cloth bags when you shop. If you happen to see the triple delight brownie mix, buy it. You won't be disappointed. Store brand or not.

Avacados for less than a $. Good Avacados!!. I'll cut this review off here simply because I have no disses however I need to state that they offer the RED GOLD TOMATO KETCHUP, 36 ounce, for 99 cents per bottle. This is something processed in Dunkirk with local tomatoes . I love being a locavore and I love even more that I go through about 8 bottles of this stuff every couple of months. I cook with it and my grand kids eat it with every meal...kinda, maybe.
