Don't get to Dash's that often but thete are a few items that I do like to purchase there. On top of the list might be their sausage. On this visit we purchased some fresh kielbasa and Italian sausage patties with cheese. Both are really good. Their fruits and veggies always look good and they have a nice bakery. We love the fish fries and order then almost every single Friday and one time they got it wrong and gave us the potato salad instradthe french fries. Of course you don't look at them when you get there because you figured they have it right but when we got home, it was wrong. Oh well, everybody makes mistakes. And then for a few weeks they were getting it right. Till Friday. Update review: Dash in general is still a good place to shop. My original rating stands. The BUT-- Sushi to go gets 3 stars on taste/quality. At "buy one, get one free" offer I decided to try the $6.99 special. Taste of the roll with tuna was a bit strange. I wondered if it may have been sitting out too long?? Not fresh it seemed. I was not going to take a chance. Only ate one portion, threw rest away. I'd have to say, Wegmans's sushi to go is superior and pricey - no buy one, get one free. But the freshness and taste is consistently very, very good at Wegmans's. Rest of my to go items at Dash were tasty and fine. I will never understand the idea of a takeout fish fry - once you plop that hot crispy fish into a box and close the lid, GOODBYE crispy fish and fries, hello soggy. For that reason, I pretty much NEVER get fish for takeout and never really considered a place like Dash's for fish fry. BUT--- this location has a super cute eating area with clean tables and chairs and a cute little gas fireplace. AND --- the fish fries are appx $11.99 - are you kidding me?!!?!?! I went during Lent on a Friday -- This location had two separate lines, one for call-ahead orders and one for ordering right then. There was maybe 6 people in line ahead of us for walk-in orders. When we got to the register, he said it would be about 20 minutes, which was fine - we browsed the grocery store while we waited (and got some yummy baked goods from their glass case. SO GOOD). The fish fry includes a really big piece of fish and you can choose either FRIES or POTATO salad. They all include mac salad, a container of coleslaw ,and tartar sauce. We got both - the fries have this extra batter on them that makes them super duper crispy, which we totally loved. The potato salad was good, fairly standard as far as potato salads go. The coleslaw was a little bizarre, it was diced up rather than shredded, but the flavors were great! And the mac salad was typical premade stuff from a tub. Anyhow--- TOTALLY worth coming in. Our tummies were full, our pocket books were happy, and they have great desserts a few steps away in their bakery. 100% would come back! read more

The Dash family has had a selfish reputation for years including dirty deals, and poor employee relations. Do not recommend Dashes, go to Lexington, Trader Joe's, Wegmans, or Tops. sooooo.....I ordered their standard 2 egG's, sausage, and toast breakfast. The clerk asked for my name to summon me for pickup once it's ready and I sat down. After approximately 15 minutes of waiting, I returned to the same clerk who was now fully engaged in a conversation with another girl about the same age which looked to be approximately 17. I politely inquired about my order only to discover that it had been sitting in a tray long enough to have gotten cold because she never called my name for pickup. As soon as I returned to my table, I discovered that my box did not contain the sausage I ordered. I returned to the same checkout girl, who was once again fully engaged with her fellow worker in conversation, to make her aware of the deficiency. She informed me that I hadn't ordered the sausage despite the fact that it's not even an option on their menu. Nevertheless, after several back and forths where I asserted that she was mistaken, endeavored to order a side of sausage and I was willing to pay the difference. I assume she didn't know how to make that transaction because she then said that there would be no additional charge since she originally charged me for a coffee which she knew I didn't order....so since the cost of the coffee and the sausage were comparable, there would be no charge. Another 15 minutes later she brought over some sausage patties which could easily have been mistaken for hockey pucks in terms of appearance and consistency. Soo.....let's recap...she screwed up my order ......she didn't call me when it was ready....the eggs and toast were ice cold by the time I went up to get them....she asserted that I was wrong about ordering sausage.....she charged me for a coffee which she knew I didn't order......and finally, the sausage patties were hard as rocks. The cherry on top was when I attempted to discard this mess and found a garbage reçeptacle overflowing on to the supermarket floor. The market side cafe opened up recently after a covid-19 closing. Plenty of tables outside and some inside. The outside seating is on the sidewalk in front of the store; it's not a patio with a view but it works just fine. What really surprised me was that the staff recognized all of us after all that time, even with a face mask. Of course they remembered our preferred breakfast options. Ever since I moved here I've wanted to visit this store however I never got the time. I decided to go yesterday because I was hoping they had fresh salads like Wegmans but they only had regular ones like in Walmart. Anyway, it is a small store and that's cool. However, upon entering this store it had an unpleasant odor like rotten meat juices and that was a bit weird. Overall, I settled for a olive mix and took it home to make my own salad. Dash's is a good store to buy sale items but regular priced merchandise prices can't compete with the big guys. One major tip I offer is to never buy pre-wrapped meat that is marked down for quick sale because by the time it gets a markdown label put on it, it's too far gone. Usually very discolored and doesn't smell good when you open it. It may not be expired yet but still not good enough to eat or freeze. read more

The açaí bowl was delicious! Hemp seed, Outdoor seating is lovely to be able to bring the dog while we enjoyed breakfast. Friendly staff (Michelle & Alicia are the best) make dining at Dash's Market's coffee shop a blast. The name has recently changed, but the food is just the same - terrific. Cool grocery store similar to Wegmans but cheaper prices. The real gem is the cafe inside. There are so many different soups, sandwiches, pizza, etc. They have a steak sandwich that's cheap and sooo delicious. Definitely worth checking out during a lunch break at work. read more

What's not to love about Dash's? This hometown market has a little bit of everything you need, and a few things you didn't know you needed until you tried them, and now you can't get enough of them: like grocery delivery. Yes, I know Wegmans also delivers groceries. Bush Dash's did it first and while I've always been a big fan of Wegmans (and always will be), I see no reason to switch things up when the grocery delivery service I'm currently using is working out well for me. The store itself is great, so if you like the whole experience of going to the grocery store and choosing the items you want, you will not be disappointed. Parking is very easy. The lot is big enough, and the spaces and lanes are wide enough. The store is laid out nicely and is always very clean. I have yet to come across one employee who doesn't appear as though he/she doesn't love his/her job. The people are so friendly and make the experience even better! Where Dash's really excels for me is with the extra things you don't necessarily expect to find in a grocery store. Their cafe, for one thing. They can whip you up some breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and it always tastes excellent! You might not expect this kind of flavor from a grocery store cafe. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich, a coffee, or a meal, you can take it with you or eat it in. There's plenty of seating for your whole family (or your entire ladies' group, as I came to find out when meeting seven other ladies there on a Saturday morning). Each location has a SPoT Coffee in the corner where you can order your favorite local brewed joe or an iced breve latte (my personal choice). There's a huge variety in the bakery. The meat department is quite impressive with its selection of steaks and roasts and fine cuts of meat. The produce department is beautiful with its rainbow of colors! And the deli is my favorite place to shop around the holidays. Why bother slaving making your own cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving when you get the best stuff in Dash's deli? (Not to mention the fantastic homemade salads for your summer picnics! (Well, I guess I did mention it.)) So yeah. Stop in if you want to pick out your own stuff. But I've shopped Dash's in person enough to know that I really can't go wrong by using their delivery service. After my car accident, I had a tough time driving. Lifting bags was out of the question, too. That's when I started using Rosie (the app for their delivery service). The in-app ordering process is very simple. My groceries got here the next day. The produce was as if I'd chosen it all myself. Everything was bagged nicely and none of items were damaged or missing. I've since used them two more times, and each time my order was a little larger than the previous. This last time I thought I got someone else's bag by mistake. There was an almond ring in there that I did not order! But then I noticed a card thanking me for my business. Nice touch, Dash's! They're a little more expensive than your other choices (and delivery adds even more to that cost), but I have never been disappointed in the people or the products, and I love that my money goes to support one of my hometown businesses. read more

The carry out counter at Dash's Market on Klein Road in Williamsville has attempted, and achieved, an ambitious goal: to serve gourmet food on the run. When it comes to brisket - specifically corned beef - and even roast beef, I have high expectations and I am routinely disappointed. This Dash's Market does those difficult meats properly. They are properly seasoned, and properly cooked, and just as importantly, properly sliced. The most perfect corned beef in the world can be destroyed by slicing it off the bias, with the grain. You need to be perfectly against the grain so that the meat practically melts in your mouth. They understand this at this Dash's location. They have kettles of soup that run from fair all the way to excellent, but I'm not sure if they cook the soups there. The prepackaged sushi and salads are quite good. The items they prepare at their deli counters are of a very high-quality. They have a wide variety of coffees and soft drinks and even beer, and you can take anything out or you can eat it there if you prefer. I have done both. read more

The meat counter is great, but often times you have to find someone to serve you if you go there at 6pm it's like a ghost town. Their fish counter is a problem though. There's always a revolting "off smell" permeating from the fish counter, no matter what time you go there, which seems to spread out to maybe 1/3 of the store. You just never smell that stomach wrenching foulness in Wegmans or Whole Foods, for example. It's quite off-putting, and as a consequence I would never consider purchasing fish / seafood from Dash's. The Dash's on Klein is my least favorite Dash's in the area, but is closest to my home. Nevertheless I prefer to go to the store on Main St in Clarence on my way home, even though it's a little bit off my route. If they took care of that smell problem I'd probably frequent this store way more often than I do. read more

A grocery store with a good cafe and ample seating, who knew? As of late, I've been visiting Dash's 1-2 times per week. The produce, meat and deli are comparable to Wegmans' level of quality/service. The selection is pretty good and the staff are quite friendly. Recently, we decided to try a sandwich in their cafe. The seating area is actually quite nice and looks like a normal coffee shop. I had the breakfast sandwich with ham, egg and cheese. The menu said it was served on a homemade english muffin. When it arrived it looked more like a hard roll than an eng muffin, but once you looked inside you could see a typical porous muffin, which was the first pleasant surprise. The next surprise was that my egg was cooked just a tad more than over-medium. I had expected scrambled b/c it's easier, but I LOVED this surprise. My yolk was still translucent, though not exactly runny. The ham and cheese were also very flavorful. Honestly, for $5, it was pretty amazing and quite filling. A million times better than sandwiches at Starbucks or Tim Hortons. Overall, this is a cool market with decent selection and a great cafe! read more

We went to Dash's Cafe for a Rueben. I will skip comments about cleanliness, wait time and customer service as other reviews seem to already have mentioned these items to no avail. Our Rueben came to $21.64 for two an that was OK until we got our order. The Rueben had shrunk in size from our last order and increased in size for the potato chips that overwhelmed the sandwich. What Rueben there was consisted of a few slices and large clumps of uncut meat. Perhaps they should concentrate on being either a supermarket or a restaurant, but not both. read more

If you want to order a stinger sub at the market cafe then expect it to come raw. On a Friday night after losing my family dog I decided to spend time with my grandmother and pick up dash's. I made sure to order 2 hours ahead so it was ready when I went to pick it up, I let them know to have it ready by 6. Once I brought it home, the stinger sub we ordered was completely raw - noticing after biting into it. 100% raw! As if it was thrown in the deep fryer and taken out immediately. The fish fries we got were also cold as if they were sitting on the counter for awhile. I went in the following day to show the manager the sub- he was blown away and apologized. I asked if I could get a full refund and a gift card as I dont want the food again. He was polite and said of course! He came back with a refund and that was it. So I was basically back at square 1 I didn't eat the food and I got my money back for food I didn't even eat. I got nothing else, no gift card, nothing. You would think with something that sickening that could lead someone to the ER or I could of gone straight to the health department- still debating. This is ridiculous- I would highly recommend not ordering any chicken here or be careful and check to make sure they actually cook it! read more

I really like Dash's market. The prices are generally higher here than Tops or Wegmans, but I love that I can be in and out really quickly. All the employees are friendly and helpful and I never feel like I have to wait in line long. Two big pluses for Dash's - meat sales and their sushi. I feel like their chicken is always on sale, and way cheaper than at other grocery stores. This week I got chicken drumsticks for .69 cents a pound and chicken breast for .99 cents a pound. Their sushi is also way better than any other grocery store sushi I've ever tried, and they have a different buy one get one free roll every week. read more

This a mainly review of the cafe section of Dash's. The store itself isn't the mega market that Wegmans is yet I always find what I need and don't spend more than 5 minutes in line ever. Now to the cafe....it's awesome. I'll start with the breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches are $4 and perfectly prepared. Perfectly, no joke. My kids love the cinnamon French toast which is also $4. On to lunch, I haven't made it past the Philly cheesesteak and carved turkey. They're both so good I just keep ordering those. Drinks are ample and there's a mini Spot Coffee in there too. This review touches upon the store itself and is more focused on the delivery service. The grocery store is terrific--staff are usually polite and helpful. Prices are somewhat high (comparable to those at a drugstore). Delivery isn't so good. Prices are high and there's a $5.99 delivery fee. Also, if you specify that you'll accept substitutions, as I did, be prepared to get greater quantities at higher prices than what you ordered. For instance, I ordered two rolls of paper towels at $1.09 ($2.18 total). Whoever picked the order substituted a family pack at $8.99. This happened with several items on my order such that the final tab was nearly 20% higher than the estimated total when I placed the order. Also, although I had specified a certain delivery time, the driver showed up 3 hours early without sufficient warning (only a voicemail message minutes before he arrived), which was inconvenient. The Rosie app, used by Dash's for order placement and payment, has issues. I tried to call them and received a voice message advising customers to visit their website. At their website, they no longer have the live chat enabled, so the only option was to email them. I did so twice and no one responded. Words of advice: If you need to deal with a manager, avoid the heirs, especially the one who handles the Rosie delivery division, lest you encounter the deadly combination of attitude + ineptitude. read more

I've been coming here for years and it seems to be going downhill. The women's bathroom is always extremely nasty, prepackaged marketside food is wilted and soggy, bakery is always out of several items and the store manager Joe Dash himself is extremely rude and arrogant with a horrible attitude. For some reason, the Dash's on Main is a better experience. At this store... the produce is always fresh, good butcher area, dairy is more expensive than Wegmans, and bakery has some very good choices (whole wheat Italian bread). The prepared foods section is just simply a headache. We've given them multiple tries thinking "maybe we just hit them on a bad day". The service is miserable ... customers are treated as though they are the source of work and stress. The lids on the soups are falling into the soup and no one is checking on them. I have been frequenting Dash's Marketplace Café for years. We gather there for meetings, connect with friends, and enjoy a fresh salad or meal from the deli. I have never had any issues until recently. For months now I have encountered children racing through the dining area, running into customers, knocking grocery items over, and totally disrupting patrons. Some are accompanied by parents who either view Dash's as a playground, are unsuspecting of what their children do, or just don't care. On more than one occasion I have reported this behavior to managers, and they state they're aware of what's going on, and will "take care" of the situation. Lately I spoke with both a manager and Joe Dash himself. It appears that Mr. Dash could care less. Not only are patrons subjected to unruly children rough-housing while shopping and dining...but more importantly, there is the potential for injuries to these kids and adults alike. After expressing my concerns, Mr. Dash remarked, "maybe you would like to take your business somewhere else?". Seeing how this store has become, the arrogance of the owner, not to mention the blatant lack of concern for customer safety...there is no maybe about it Joe Dash...I'll definitely being doing exactly that. read more

Not only did no one help him while he was there, the so called owner Joe had the audacity to yell at me when I called and blame my father. Took absolutely no responsibility for something that happened in his store. Told me it was my fathers fault and not theirs. I am disgusted in this place. Will never shop there again!
